One hot summer night, she became the blueprint for my perfect woman.

Now she’s back in Rosella Bay. Ten years later, Mia Sinclair is even more stunning than I remember.

I want to do bad things to her. Things I can’t do because she’s his.

So when she and her fiance hire me to renovate their holiday home, I watch. I wait for him to f*ck it up. And when he does, she runs straight into my arms.

How can I resist when she’s literally begging me to give her what she needs?

But even though it’s torture to hold back, I don’t want to be the rebound guy. The guy she f*cks and forgets. Not when this could be my only chance to make my dream girl mine.

I’ll do anything to keep her in my bed and in my life.

One hot summer night, he was my first. Now my small town hero is back in my life just in time to rebuild my broken heart.

My fiance is cheating, our wedding is cancelled and I can’t face going back to Sydney to the life I never wanted.

When Luke touches me, it’s like I’ve always been his. He knows all the ways to set me on fire and have me begging for more. He’s like the handyman for my heart, someone whose smile makes me feel like everything’s going to be OK.

But we’re from two different worlds and all too soon I’ll have to go back. Back to Sydney and the job I hate and the constant pressure from my parents to be someone I’m not. If only I could find a way to escape to Rosella Bay.

Ami Wright is spreading her wings and writing spicy contemporary romance as Anna Wright. She is off to an amazing start with Built, the first book in the Rosella Bay Brothers series.

We are off to the Australian coast to the small town of the Rosella Bay! The series will focus on three Wilson brothers. First up, is middle brother, Luke. He’s a cinnamon roll who knows how to satisfy the object of his desire, Mia, in hundreds of ways.

Luke and Mia meet while Mia and her parents are visiting their holiday home in Rosella Bay. On her eighteenth birthday, Mia is wondering her next steps in life since her boyfriend of two years, Oliver, wants a break. When Luke gets up the courage to approach Mia while she’s sketching on the beach, he never considered what an imprint she would make on his life and his heart. Ten years later, Mia is back in town to help with the renovations of the family holiday home that will be a wedding present once she marries long-time boyfriend, Oliver. The contractor Oliver hired is none other than Luke Wilson.

Luke thinks he’s missed his chance with Mia. When she starts thinking about everything going on in her relationship with Oliver and talking with her BFF, Tegan, Mia starts to see all the red flags. Tegan makes her way over to their apartment to catch Oliver in the act and she finds him in bed with another woman. She captures a few pictures and gives Mia the bad news. Mia knows things are over with Oliver which leads to opening things up with Luke once more.

Luke is more than happy to keep Mia pleasured well, but he won’t be the rebound guy. Until Mia is ready, the rest can wait. They spend a night which turns into days then weeks together in Rosella Bay. Mia is in love with the small town, the Wilson family, and her ability to be herself completely.

Like Mia, I’ve fallen in love with Rosella Bay. The images Wright paints of the quaint costal town have me wishing for sandy shores and nights under the stars. Wright built two brilliant characters in Mia and Luke. I felt for Mia’s suffering as she dedicated her life to a career in law at her father and Oliver’s insistence. Living a life for several years unable to devote time to her creative endeavors was something I could completely understand. Mia makes such an amazing life change from the studious lawyer stuck in a toxic relationship to the creative painter dedicated to the love of her life.

As for Luke, he was a saint at times. He held back his own wants and desires until Mia could grow through the destructive events both Oliver and her parents caused. The way he cared and longed for Mia is something so many men have experienced, but in the current society wouldn’t have handled the same. Luke told Mia he would be there for her every step of the transition and he shows her in his actions every day.

This is an absolute five star read for me. The amazing balance of plot and spice had me reading the entire book in one day. While I wait for younger brother, Noah, to get his story, Burned, I am going to check out the other books written under the Ami Wright pen name.

I received Built for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Tropes:
- Blue collar MMC
- Titanic, but in small town Australia
- Second chance
- Country boy, city girl
- He never stopped wanting her
- Cinnamon roll in the streets, dirty talker in the sheets
- Forced proximity

I loved this romance. Spicy and sweet with the most swoonworthy MMC.

Built is the first in the Rosella Bay Brothers series. It’s a contemporary romance set in the fictional Australian seaside town of Rosella Bay.

In the prologue we meet Mia and Luke 10 years previously, where they first meet and have an encounter.

I'm not sure why I was surprised when this jumped straight into the spice, considering the author’s monster romances written under her Ami Wright pen name.

10 years later, Mia is engaged to Oliver, and Luke is renovating their Rosella Bay holiday house.

Mia has been with her rotten fiance for 12 years. The relationship is stale and she then discovers that he has been cheating on her.

She has escaped to Rosella Bay, which she has loved since she was a child.

Luke has wanted Mia since they first met, however he is worried about being the rebound guy. And he struggles with not feeling good enough for Mia.

So he implements a slow and steady plan to win her back. I love that this includes making Mia part of his extended family, introducing her to his parents and brothers lives.

Luke is just the perfect supportive partner. He does and says everything right.

Thank you Anna Wright for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and man Did she kill it?

It’s in a small coastal town in Australia, first love and a second chance Romance story.

The story starts 10 years in the past where the two main characters meet. Mia and her family are on holiday for the summer from Sydney. Mia Isn’t like all the other summer vacationers that come to Rosella Bay, She loves the small town and prefers it over there the city of Sydney. She is sitting on the beach, sketching when Luke sits down next to her to see her drawing. Luke being a local knows of a party on the beach that evening and invites her.

As soon as this story starts, it sucks you in and you don’t wanna do anything but finish the book, But that thing called work got in my way of being able to read it start to finish. It was definitely swoon worthy when Luke waits until she’s ready. I love that there is no third act break up.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series to see what happens with Noah.

I received this book as an ark, and I’m willingly leaving this review.

Book one of the Rosella Bay Brothers series, Built, was a lovely, quick read that was a perfect palate cleanser for my current reading path. Reading it in one sitting, I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Mia meets Luke on her 18th birthday in Rosella Bay where her parents have a holiday home. He's a small town country boy, while she's the daughter of rich parents and a privileged life. They have one brief encounter where he becomes hooked only to find she's gone the next day back to her every day life.

Ten years later they meet again and we watch the story unfold from there.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next in Noah's story.

3.5 ⭐ (rounded up to 4)

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Tropes: Small town romance, second chance, he falls first, city girl/country boy

You know those books that just transport you into another cute world? That’s what this book did to me. I finished Mia and Luke’s story in 2 hours—I literally couldn’t stop reading!

Their attraction and first meeting were so adorable. Luke cared for her from the minute he spoke to her. Mia’s parents have insane expectations, and I hate that Luke felt they were from such different worlds because of social status.

Her friend is fantastic, and despite the innocent cover, this book is hella spicy! I love that Luke doesn’t rush it with Mia; he wants to shower her with affection. Their communication was perfect, which was so refreshing to see. Both characters were mature and in sync with their feelings.

This is the perfect book for the beach or just an incredible read in general. Anna Wright, this will not be my last book by you!

This book held my heart. I was rooting for Mia and Luke to the happy end. Nothing make a summer read any better then steamy second chance lost loves finding each other in the most unexpected times. Tegan is Mia's BFF and opened her eyes up to her crappy EX Fiance. Which who doesn't love a friend that looks out for you. Which in turn leaves Mia to stay for an extended time in her safe place of Rosella Bay. With Mia trying to figure out her next steps, she gets an unexpected surprise when she opens her door to the sexy contractor who is the man she was not expecting to ever see again. As it was the sexy contractor is shocked to see the girl of his dreams from 10 years ago opening the door and in HIS jumper no less. Sparks fly between these two lost lovers in a second chance small town romance that will leave you wanting more.

This book is adorable, sweet, and spicy. Mia and Luke are a match made in summer and are perfect for each other. They had me cracking up, feeling mushy, and even hot under the collar. They are the couple that just clicks and you get it. He is willing to go to the ends of the earth for her, and she is willing to do the same. They are tested by so many things in this book, but I never once doubted their love or relationship. I fell in love with the couple as much as I did the book it was an adorable and quick read.

I can't wait to catch the other brothers book if they are anything like this. I adorable the small town and the family and would love to see more of Mia and Luke in the other stories too.

This is a perfect small town romance with spice that makes you blush.

We meet Mia on her 18th birthday in a little town on the coast of Australia. She is an artist that is brought up that she is supposed to be more then that. She meets Luke and is invited to go to a bonfire that changed their lives. They do not see each other for a decade and when they do the sparks fly.
Mia is going through something and watching how he cares for her and waits for her has you swooning. I loved watching their story unfold. It is amazing in every sense of the word.
Knowing that this is the first book in a series has me more the anxious for the other brothers stories.

This was a quick easy read. Could easily finish it in a day. The story flowed easily too. I related to Luck so much. I've been in his shoes before. He didn't want to be another one-night stand and he wanted her for the long run. He wanted to be her forever, but she is engaged. Sitting around and waiting on her fiancé to mess up isn't an option but he didn't want to give too much of himself away too soon either and risk her using him. He didn't want to sit back and let her slip through his hands a second time though. It's a fine line for sure. The way it played out was perfect. This was a good palate cleanser from my dark romance.

A cute second chance romance but still has the heat!
This is an amazing debut book for this pen name! It was so easy to read and flowed so well.
Luke and Mia are so cute together from the time they meet on Mia's 18th birthday to 10 years later.
Luke was an absolute Cinnamon roll in the best way but boy did he have a dirty mouth in the bedroom.
Built was the first book in the Rosella Bay Brothers series and I'm so excited to read Noah's book!

This is book one in the Rosella Bay Brothers series,
This book was a quick cute read. All it takes is a second chance to find love again, but what happens when it’s the one that got away. Two people from different classes, one finding love after heartbreak. While the others always wanted her.

I can’t wait to see more of this series.

The way she portrayed the town makes me want to go there.
The family atmosphere makes me yearn for it myself.

Well written book

Rosella Bay seems like the perfect small town!

I absolutely love the story between Luke and Mia.

A summer fling ends as quickly as it started, 10 years later Mia is getting Married to Oliver.

Can the connection Luke and Mia had to each other the summer she turned 18 rekindle into something more?

This is going to be an amazing series!

I'm mad at how much I loved this.

I'm not turning in my usuals for this.

I'm not.

But I will read every book in this series and love it, and I'm going to have to be okay with that. And though I know that the MMC has brown hair, I still imagine him as Chris Hemsworth and I'm okay with that.

Amazingly good! This book is filled with so much emotion and amazing main characters and side characters. I was pulled in and didn't want to put it down. Mia was amazing and lovely but didn't know what she wanted till Luke came back into her life.

This was a cute enough and fairly shorter story but, I just felt it was a little too faced paced with very little growth for Mia and Luke's relationship or within themselves even after the 10 year time jump. They both still often came across as teenagers even once they were in their late 20's/early 30's.

I did enjoy the over all story despite that. They met one summer, then were separated for 10 years. The whole time they've constantly thought of each other but, Mia got engaged to her childhood sweetheart because she thought it's what she was meant to do and when she comes back to town to work on renovations for the house they're looking at - she is remet with Luke and their feelings come back. She finds out along the way her fiance was a toad anyways so good riddance to him. I thought Mia and Luke were adorable, I just really wish we got more from them. They met and banged in one night then didn't see each other for 10 years and were still hung up on the other and then when they do start working on building a relationship it still didn't feel like much - it was just rushed.

I felt like Luke was an incredible partner for Mia and the little things he noticed and did for her were the cutest. He paid attention, he made sure she knew she was worthy, talented, beautiful and deserving of the world and I adored him. I also adored that even though she was rich and grew up rich - she never once looked down on him for being a working man and was never stuck up or thought she was better than him. She thought she was just as undeserving of hin as he thought he was for her but, they were both wrong. They were perfect together.

However for being a shorter story and if you're into quick romances/burn with not a ton of plot - maybe a pallette cleanser? This would probably be nice.

"I don’t want to be some guy you regret. Not again.”

I'm a big fan of Ami Wright. I have read and loved every one of her alien romances and I was thrilled when she announced she was writing a new contemporary series based in Australia. I love contemporary romance novels so I quickly jumped on the first book, Built.

What a delightful story! I fell for Luke immediately because who wouldn't. Mia was a sweetheart, the kind of woman you want to be friends with. There's not a lot of action or angst in Built. It's simply a sweet but very steamy love story between two people who were meant to be together.

Luke has two brothers who will round out the rest of the series starting with Noah, who I already found interesting in Built. Now, after reading the first two chapters, I'm totally hooked and counting the days. These Wilson men are keepers!
