With the dissolution of the Black Cell unit. It seems that the change that FBI agent Blake Wilder dreaded has been forced upon her.

At the scene of the crime, the team finds one dead guard and a ton of bullet casings. Three inmates have escaped, and the rest of the prisoners in the transport have been rounded up. While searching for the missing convicts, the team follows a trail of car-jackings, murders, and full-blown chaos. What’s the connection between the prisoners and who were the masked men that helped them escape?
Deception, betrayal, murder, and full-blown mayhem. It seems there’s simply no rest for the wicked.
Elle Gray lives in a small town with her 2 cats, and her handsome husky. As a girl, she was obsessed with crime novels and thrillers.
Today, she loves writing and creating thrilling novels with courageous, strong heroes/heroines and dangerous psychopaths. She invites you to join her exciting world of detectives and FBI agents that take down killers and kick butt.
This isn't the end of the series but this is the last of the audiobooks that I have, so the rest will have to wait until I can get them all, unfortunately. I really enjoyed this series although I must admit to getting really frustrated with Blake Wilder, also with Elle Gray's writing, I guess. The same things were repeated in every book, such as her stomach Aching etc. I know very petty of me. lol But also, She all but bullied all of her suspects which was irritating at some points. It bothered me most when the subjects were innocents.

This is the 24th book in the Blake Wilder FBI series. Senator Kathryn Hedlund has managed to finally have Blake removed as the leader of her Black Cell team. She also had the team disbanded. Blake has been offered a new spot for her and her team with full say over how she runs it. The only catch is she has to work with other agencies. Although that isn't something she wanted to do after talking with her team they decided to take it on. Their first case is 3 violent prisoners have escaped and they are tasked with finding them and bringing them in. This will be one of the toughest cases they have ever had as one prisoner is very volatile and is leaving them no clues to go on.
Politics, most people find it an abhorrent career choice. Changing your mind and tactics on the whim of the changing winds, not for Blake, doing the right thing whether some is watching or not, that’s how she lives and works. She gets that her job is to protect the public and not political hacks. It starts out, No Way and then we get a little sliver lining before Blake, Astra and her team break out their super powers and save the day. Love this series.
This has been a fascinating series with terrific characters, lots of humor, drama, angst, mystery, suspense, and intriguing twists that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. I've absolutely loved every book, and can't wait for more! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
Stripped of her team as a result of Senator Hedlund’s machinations, Blake ponders her options until a new opportunity-and dangerous assignment-arises, keeping her team intact and removed from the hierarchal chain of command.
A prison escape is the assignment, the escapees dangerous felons.
Prison Break(Blake Wilder FBI Mystery Thriller Book 24)
OMG!!!!!!!! This book was amazing, it had a lot of twists and turns. It really seems to show how a very dangerous and manipulative prisoner can get what he wants from innocent people. I was truly amazed how far people will go to please and convict. I can't wait to read the next book.
I found this book to be too predictable. Elle Gray is one of my favorite authors, and the Blake Wilder series is one of my all-time favorites. However, this book was the easiest to predict of the entire series. Still a great read and I can't wait for the next in the series.
Prison Break book 24 of Blake Wilder FBI Mystery Thriller
As usual this book was excellent. From the beginning of the book to the end I was on the edge of my seat to see how the story was going to carry on. I was not disappointed. I look forward to reading the rest of her books. Only hope she will write more of this series, 28 books do not seem like near enough. This is not the only series I have read of hers. I have also read Sweetwater Falls, they were all very good.
I just finished book 24 in this series. These characters have become friends...family. I will miss them. I love stories that hold my attention for that long, but truly hate for them to end. Maybe in a couple of years I can revisit...starting with book 1. Very much worth it.
As I started to pivot towards this genre, it was Elle Gray that pulled me in. Since that time, I have explored many different author's work. Ms. Gray has always been a top notch author. The Blake Wilder series is one I'll never tire of.
Another amazing case for Blake and the team, I honestly felt a little sad for them at the end of their last case when they were all stood down, but thank DD Church for taking them to a higher level. However I would like to see Blake find a good man.😊
This book in the Blake Wilder series is not my favorite. The story was kind of blah. It didn't have the usual "kick" to it. The "banter" between Astra and Kaminski was tiresome and what would be illegal (sexual harassment) in real life.
I do enjoy these stories and the side characters that go along the way, but sometimes I think that Blake needs to retire and open her own shop.of highly sought out resource for the various government agencies and for the private sector that at times needs help too.
Blake dealing with job security is just like any other job, except more dangerous. Dealing with the different powers that be only adds more stress. Her love of jazz and Scotch says it all.
How Ms. Gray does it is beyond me. She captivates her readers with such brilliance and knowledge it's astounding. As always, I am looking forward to #25 with a mix of anticipation and deep regard!
Not the author’s best work. The ending was quite blah.. nothing to look forward to at all in upcoming books. After an exciting story line it feels like it just fizzled out in the end.
