This was a pretty good book with good checklists to make sure you and your family have your bases covered in the event of an emergency, especially one that knocks out power for an extended period of time. Needs to be updated desperately though. While most of the information is still useful, the context is over 10 years too old, with all the references to the great disaster that wasn't, Y2K. Many of the phone numbers and websites listed in the resources are also probably no longer accurate. Not so out of date as to be rendered useless (yet), but definitely enough to make you chuckle now and again, and to neccesitate a new edition.
