This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It was well written and I liked the characters. More of a story line would have been nice and a follow up of if her dad had become supportive of her life choices. Overall, it was a great read.

H- 40 yrs. old, no real mention of sexual past just that women seemed more interested in his money.

h- 18 yrs. old, virgin

No condom use

No OW/OM drama

Part of the Breaking Bonds series each can be read as standalone with an overprotective protector and the one who captures hi undivided attention. Cassi just graduated from high school feeling like she is ready to take the world on or at least broaden her view of it although her overprotective father would rather keep her home or close and her plans change when her stepbrother arrives something shifts. Jordan sexy as all get out stepbrother in town for his mother’s weeding there to support her realizing his stepsister would be the one to change everything and all it took was one dance at the wedding. They did everything in their power to stay away from one another but the magnetic pull can’t be ignored and the longer they tried the stronger the pull until it all comes crashing down when her father holds on just a little too tight of course she turns to Jordan but what they are feeling is forbidden or so they think yet the heart wants what it wants there is no denying it, his age will come into question, what will their parents think especially her father, and can they find their own happiness somewhere along the way?

After graduating high school, Cassi is ready to explored the world, despite her overprotective father's wishes. Her plans take an unexpected turn when her stepbrother, Jordan (H40), comes to visit. The two felt a connection from one another the night they danced at their parents' wedding, even though they both held back, until now. Cassi and Jordan’s connection is undeniable, but family relations complicate their growing attraction. With tension between Cassi and her father, she turns to Jordan and things quickly heat up between the two. Determined to live life on her terms, Cassi decides to pursue her dreams, and Jordan has to decide what he wants in life. Loved that Jordan encouraged Cassi to go after what she wanted and was there with open arms for her. Hot and steamy age gap, forbidden, romantic quickie with a side of family drama.

This one was a bit incestuous and uncomfortable but it was a really well written novella. I liked this one better than the last one. I felt like it was less kidnappy and made more sense. Jordan and Cassi previously met each other and yearned for one another from afar. This story bridged the gap from when they first met, to taking their connection to the next level. The age gap is a bit much but the hunger, intensity and desire is all there and the chemistry is greatly explored in the little time this book is created. Even though it was 58 pages, I felt like this covered a lot of ground. You knew what Jordan did, knew how Cassi’s upbringing was and what her hopes and dreams were. That’s more than I can say from the last book. While the situation is unusual, if you can look past it, this was very enjoyable and sensual.

The author has given us a fast-paced older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Jordan and Cassi. When their parents marry, they become family, however, each wants it to be more since they really aren't related. The story keeps us turning the pages with forbidden desire, obstacles and steam.

If you like quick and steamy forbidden romance, you will definitely enjoy One Dance by B.L. Brooks. Jordan and Cassi have an intense connection but they are also step siblings with her dad being married to his mom. Jordan has tried to stop thinking about Cassi but when his business brings him to town all bets are off. Will Cassi allow her father to control her life or will she go after what she wants? 5 stars.

In this book we meet Cassi & Jordan. These two met at their parents wedding of all places. From the very first dance there is a connection between these two. They believe there can't be anything between them since they are who they are. Can they find a HEA or will they forever be stuck in the friend zone?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Cassi was raised by her dad from a young age and his dominance has only grown as she gets older. When she decides that she wants something that he doesn’t have planned for her the poop hits the fan. Will they be able to overcome this hurdle? Will she actually be OK out from under daddy’s thumb? Learning to be Cassi is an interesting ride.
