Easton Island is the continuing saga of one woman’s journey from incredible loss to finding a past she knew nothing about, including a family who both embraces and fears her and a charming island that draws her in.
This inspirational women’s fiction series is for lovers of family sagas, friendship, mysteries, and clean romance.
As usual, I enjoyed this latest installment in the Easton Island story. But as usual, it is more of an installment in a serial than a complete book. Too short, too many loose ends keep me from giving it the 5 stars I would if it seemed more complete.
In Morgan Easton's relationships with her half-brother Brett, her best friend Quinn Schultz, her boyfriend Wyatt Dawson and with Mr. David Wynne, she discovers The Road Best Traveled is ALWAYS the high road. Book 11 in the Easton Family Saga is a page turning who-dun-it mystery with a small town Lake Huron Michigan setting, relatable characters (Morgan, Brett, Quinn & Wyatt), a loving grandmother Elizabeth Easton, annoying neighbor Naomi Renaud, and an adorable rescue pup Chester. The story flows and plot twists keeps the reader engaged. Foreshadowing has this reader wanting more. Hope Callaghan’s style includes a character list and tidbits from the previous stories to refresh the reader of past events in this series. This retiree with a limited attention span enjoys Callaghan’s writing style: short paragraphs, with just enough description and dialog to keep the mystery moving. Recipe for Canadian Maple Syrup Banana Nut Muffins is included.
The continuing story of the Easton family and Morgan’s relationship with them. Morgan’s B&B is doing well, Brett is healthier and has taken over the running of Easton family business again, and Morgan is considering contracting with Mr. Wynn on renovating the Wynn property on Mackinac Island. She and Brett have some miscommunication about the Wynn contract, and on top of that she and Quinn have an argument and Quinn leaves to visit Florida! It’s definitely a crazy time. There’s even some unexpected romance! Read and enjoy! I received an advance copy of this book and write this review voluntarily.
I love this wholesome series. The characters are so real you know you'd want to be friends if they were real. The setting on Lake Huron is so peaceful and relaxing. I would love to live on Easton Island.
This newest adventure offers lots of new story angles....an argument that threatens to split the family and friends Morgan has come to know and love....a change in a relationship that goes to new heights...a former love making an entrance.... and many more twists and turns.
This is a quick read with lots of action to keep you absorbed until the very end. I can't wait for the next book!!!
Is This The End of the Road Where Everyone Goes Their Own Way?
Hope Callaghan wrote another great book in the Easton Island Family series. We have been involved with the Easton/Locke family for ten wonderful books now, but book eleven kinda threw a wrench in the happy family dynamic. You're going to have to read this enjoyable book to find out what has happened to this close- knit family unit. I know I am anxious to read the next one in this series, I am sure you will too. Enjoy this new wrinkle in the Easton/Lock Family history!
This one seemed shorter than usual and had a pretty abrupt ending. That said - it continues to be a favorite series, and I will definitely be continuing to read it. This one had quite a bit of family drama and emotional decisions. Those will all be a huge part of the next book I'm certain. That said, one thing that I really like is there isn't any "we'll address this issue eventually". All misunderstandings and needs for just basic communication occur quickly. These usually resolve the strained relationships/decisions pretty quickly too.
Easton Island 🏝️ 📕 books have always been about family And book 11 is no different. In this one Morgan learns to trust herself And as the title says, pick the road best traveled for herself With new projects coming up, Brett still recovering, Some new decisions need to be made and things are changing. Will everything come around and be good again? I’m sure it will be. I love these books. They’re easy to read and like I said are about family and how that matters.
I love Hope Callaghan and all of her books. This series is good for all ages as it has all ages in the story. But a very good series for younger readers as they are the main characters. Each book makes you want more and you can't wait for the next one and the rest of the story. I love this series I am not young... So it interest all ages. You will love it.
Another delightful addition to a warm and wonderful series! This time Morgan considers investing her own money in an old hotel in serious need of renovation. The characters are nicely developed and believable, and the book is beautifully crafted. Reading each book is like a nice visit with old friends. I hope there are many more books to come. Highly recommended! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.
This book is really Great. The characters old and new surely keep you wondering about what’s happening next. I have to keep going I need to know the Rest of the story. Hopefully there is another book in this series. It’s that Good. I Highly truly recommend this series.
Wonderful series! Family drama, love and frienships at its best!
I love reading about Morgan, her family, her friends, her friends that are like family, acquaintances that like to cause trouble, and the adventures / day-to-day interactions. I was sorry to read "The End". The 10th book in this series is a real pager turner like the rest. Looking forward to reading the 11th book.
This series has been so enjoyable to read. Morgan has been through so much but her and Brett have come a long way in their brother and sister relationship. Grandmother has really helped to make everything in the business end work. I am looking forward to see how everything works out with the new business.
I’m not one for completing surveys but this series is amazing. I love getting to know the characters and the twists and turns in their lives. There’s also great examples for the reader of best ways to respond to these situations that can occur in our lives! Great work Hope Callaghan!!
This continuous Morgan's growth and change. With this change comes conflict. Right now Morgan's many project have her distracted. How she handles this is addressed. This book finishes on a cliff hanger and I look forward to reading the next book.
Nothing is ever perfect as Morgan Easton navigates her new life on Easton Island. New relationships, new mysteries, new found family, new home. A wonderful clean series.
An interesting installment in the life of the folks on Easton Island. While I very much enjoyed the story, I was disappointed that it is more of a novella or prequel, leaving many unanswered questions.
If it's a good story I don't want it to end. So glad that there will be another book as this ended too quickly. I love this series as well as others from Ms Callaghan. Keep writing!
Maybe the best one yet! The characters continue to be masterfully developed, allowing us to get to know them better. Twists and turns, still more unanswered questions and bam, at the end of the book before you know it!
I sided with Morgan rather than Quinn and Brett, as she always does her best to accommodate everyone. Those two were selfish. Still, it was a really good read! Elizabeth is a queen in every way!
I really enjoy reading this series. Morgan leads a fairy tale life but her life still has some complications to make it real. Hope is one of my favorite authors. I love every book by her that I have read.
Love the Easton Island Family Saga Series! Loved this book! Such a great storyline. I love the author’s writing style which is why I’ve read almost all of her books. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Just an easy read continuing the story og Morgan Easton and the others. I was a bit surprised at the turn of events in the story. Interested in how it will be resolved
I have enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. I hope Guinn comes back. It was exciting to read about grandmother getting engaged. I just love this series! Each book is better than the one before.
I have so enjoyed this series so far looking forward to book 12 in the . It Can't come soon enough. Small mystery solved With everyday living. It's 1 of those fast reads but so enjoyable I highly recommend hope Callahan and all of her books
This book is just as good as all the others in the series. I was a little surprised at the ending, rather abrupt. Clearly there’s more to the story! I can’t wait to read any of the additions! Love your books!
I've loved this series. Waiting to see what happens next. And who doesn't love Chester? A well written and often intriguing series with a good mix of characters.
