Not bad. I liked the encounter itself, the goblin girl was really fun, and it was easy to read.

I received an e-ARC of this book. I am leaving a review voluntarily, and it is my honest opinion.

There was one instance of language I found distinctly not hot, but other than that, I have no qualms with the spice here.

What does bother me a little is that this, like many of the stories in this series, reads like it doesn't quite know what it wants to be. It's an erotic short, yes, but we get background story and worldbuilding for half the book before we even meet the female character who ends up hooking up with the MC. I don't mind it particularly, but it is a bit strange for a series of erotic shorts. Sometimes I feel like this whole series would have been better off being fantasy novellas with some erotic moments strewn in, or with erotic shorts to fill in the gaps. The way they're written always has me a bit confused as to what genre I'm reading and how much of the series/world I am supposed to know to get the full vibe.

There's some fantasy racism here -- mainly not from the MC but rather mentioned as a part of the elves' history with the goblins. Slavery is also mentioned. Could have used a content note for that. Aside from that, it's a rather tame story for this universe.

Overall, if you don't mind a bit of fantasy worldbuilding, and are into massages, feet, and/or submissive fantasy creature women, this was fun enough to check out.

These vignettes have really grown on me.

If this is your first one, there are two things to understand -- in each of them, the erotica is in the second half of the book and the author is into feet.

This story gives more of the backstory of the elven kingdoms of the different islands and the amount of savage warfare that has accompanied the formation and maintenance of the kingdoms. It also sets up a quest that will be occurring later.

In a war a few generations earlier (although that is hard to measure with very long lifespans), elves and goblins had a truly horrific war and it ended with the goblins being enslaved. The enslavement is moving more into servitude, but the goal was to subdue the goblin culture so that they would not attack again even generations in the future. As with some of the incidents in other stories, I am reminded of Scottish/English relations in some of this.

The second half/erotic half involves a goblin masseuse servant giving a massage to an Elven warrior/mage and the massage turning very erotic. It was a very sensual scene, well described.

Anyways, I am reading the rest of the vignettes in this series and hoping the author adds more.

Read this now!!! Awesome story with multi layered characters and a detailed plot. Story was intense at times. Lots of plot twists. Kept my attention from the first page to the last.

This is an interesting story. The world building is beautifully done. The characters are intriguing. The steam was ok. I like the build up and the attention to details.
