I'm not a hug fan of the best friends dad trope, but as soon as i saw this book i absolutely had to read it because it sounded so good. It's defiantly one of the best books i've read for this trope. It's short and spicy, but without feeling like anything is rushed.

Rochelle agrees to move into her best friend Amy's house to make it easier for her to get to school. She knew Amy's dad would be there as well, which would only make her rush on the man even bigger. What she hadn't been expecting was that he would also be her professor.

Kevin has always thought Rochelle was beautiful after having seen her at her family's reunion party, but he didn't expect to be falling in love with her as much as he did when he set eyes on her in his class.

Can they navigate around the fact that most people would see their relationship as odd, or will they not allow that to bother them. What happens when they get caught by Amy, will that be the end of everything or will they be able to work things out between each other.

Rochelle goes into her psychology class and is surprised to see her best friend's dad (and crush since forever) as the professor. There was an instant connection but they tried to hold back because of the large age gap and he being her best friend's dad.

I really liked this book. It took a little bit for the spice to start but when it did it didn't stop and it was amazing!! 🔥🔥🔥👏 It makes sense it took a little time to get to these scenes though because of their situation. They had great chemistry and you could feel the pull between them.

If you're looking for a quick spicy read (with a little 'sir' mixed in) then I highly recommend this book!

Psychology student Rochelle (h20) has had a secret crush on her best friend Amy's father, Kevin (H40+) a psychology professor, and when she gets accepted into Stanford Rochelle is excited to find that Kevin is one of her professors. Amy convinces Rochelle to move into the family home, and Rochelle's attraction to Kevin becomes overwhelming, seeing him at home and in class every day. Kevin, who has been single since his divorce, is equally affected by Rochelle and struggles with his attraction to her, and the tension between them grows. Things heat up between Kevin and Rochelle in a complex and secretive relationship, with both Rochelle and Kevin trying to navigate their strong emotions while maintaining some semblance of normalcy, as they try to keep Amy from finding out what they've been getting up to. Needless to say, she does, and Rochelle and Kevin have to navigate the aftermath of their relationship. Ultra-hot and steamy forbidden age gap romance with plenty of drama and tension.

Lizzy West knows how to write a delicious taboo romance with a bit of teacher/student, age-gap, best friend’s dad read and it was fast-paced well written and SPICY.

Rochelle had always had a crush on her best friend Amy’s dad. Amy’s dad Kevin had those same feelings for her. She pursues Psychology as her major in college and Kevin not only becomes her teacher, but her roommate as she moved in with them to save money.

The age-gap (20 years) was HOT. Kevin has a really hot dom side and literally spends half the book having intense spicy scenes with Rochelle ALL over the place! It was easily some of the hottest chemistry I’ve seen in the teacher/student troupe. I loved that they organically had lots to relate to and that really added a sweet depth to their relationship. The only thing I didn’t like was how short it was, I wanted moreeee. But for a novella, it was a page turner and so good!

This is the first Lizzy West book I have read but it won't be my last. You have Rochelle who has been in love with Dr. Kevin McKnight since she was a teenager and the reason she decided on going to college for psychology however there is one hiccup he's her best friend Amy's father. Rochelle is invited to move in with Amy since she's going to be attending college in the city Amy and her father moved to a few years prior but Amy still lives at home, Rochelle just hopes she can try and hide her feelings and avoid Kevin as much as possible. Fate has other plans Rochelle enters her second year psychology class and then in walks the one man she never expected as her Professor, Professor McKnight. What will happen when their attraction and passion becomes too much and secrets get accidentally discovered. This is quick, spicy read done right.

Kevin is also attracted to Ro but has guilt over their age gap, his daughter, and the fact he is also friends with her dad. When she comes to live with them and also realizes Kevin is one of her professors, the temptation grows for both of them. When stuck in the rain one night, they finally give in to their feelings. But what will Amy say? Can they make it work? They did have decent chemistry, and we got a happy ending. This was a great short and spicy read!.

ADDICTIVE book that will melt your panties off and put beads of sweat on your forehead. Holy HOTNESS I wish I had a psych professor as HOT as Dr. McKnight because I would be swooning over him BIG TIME. This quick read is a must and look out because it's the start of a new series that I am dying to read. Rochelle is a 20-year-old going to Stanford and her best friend Amy's dad who she has had the hots for is professor. So, take your lunch break now and start reading this book by Lizzie just be warned it has some heat.

This is a sizzling series opener and I loved the chemistry between Rochelle and her best friend Amy's father, Kevin (Dr McKnight). Rochelle has been crushing hard on him since she was a teenager, and once she moves into his home with Amy, well, it becomes apparent that he's just as hot for her ;P Of course, the drama of being in his lectures at uni, keeping their growing relationship hidden, and dealing with getting caught helped make this steamy romance a page turner. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book ;D

I loved this book. I think we have all had one teacher that we fantasized about, and this book brings back all those memories. Kevin is the father of Rochelle's best friend and also her new psych professor. Being in a new city, Rochelle's friend invites her to move in with them. The attraction is instant and hot. This book can be read in about an hour. It has lots of steam and spice. It has a little drama, but it is not too bad. Great read!

This was such a good novella. I read it in one sitting! Lizzy West comes up with some of the best storylines. I recommend it if you like forbidden instalove!

Loving the Professor

Rochelle has been in love with her best friend’s father for years and while they moved away her feeling’s haven’t changed. Starting her second year of psychology classes she is surprised to find Dr. McKnight as her professor. It turns out living with the professor you have always wanted won’t be easy. The chemistry between Kevin and Rochelle burns hot and heavy. This was a short and fun read.

This is the first book in the Crossing the Line Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Rochelle & Kevin; he’s her best friend Amy’s dad. He’s Kevin McKnight and Rochelle is his daughter’s best friend. He’s 40 and she’s 20 but that can’t stop their attraction. This is a short story about a forbidden romance, not so much the age but the fact Rochelle is his daughters best friend. It’s steamy with good characters and has a great HEA.
