This was such an emotional rollercoaster. The main characters meet in an unexpected way and have kind of a storybook romance until tragedy ultimately strikes. Very emotional, very good story! Characters you will absolutely fall in love with and a story that is really good and keeps you hooked!

I really enjoyed reading this book!
It was so endearing to watch the MC's fall in love!
It really takes you on a journey through their love story, you are put together and taken apart and then you heal with them and you're put back together again and the end?

This book made my cry so much like so many emotions. This romance book was everything like loved how she saved him from the car and they both kept thinking about eachother afterwards and always have a connection. ❤️

Such a sad book
The English difference was a bit of a struggle for me. Coming as an American and reading a book from England I could see the differences. I do feel like each point of view should have been a different chapter. The book felt a bit rushed in portions. This book could have easily been 300-400 pages long with more in depth with the characters and the plot. Love is finicky and love is fragile. It doesn’t take much to shatter it.

An incredibly charming and emotional slow burn romance, filled with palpable will they/won't they tension dotted throughout.
It really felt like a true connection of souls, their conversations were easy, their chemistry was magnetic, and their paths were destined.
I loved the friendship dynamics in this, their group is so easy going and fun, and I enjoyed seeing the other couples, and the snippets of their lives too.
It had a cosy atmosphere, despite the drama, interference, and health scares, and I enjoyed the themes of hope, redemption and fate.
There are plenty of heartfelt and unexpected moments in this, none more so than the memorable and emotional ending.
If you want to see a beautiful love story unfold and experience a whole host of emotions, this is the book for you.

I loved it so much!!!
It was very well written and I loved the characters from the first moment I read about them.
It was incredibly emotional and I cried the most time of it.
It is very heartfelt and cute and I absolutely recommend reading it <3

An emotional rollercoaster that I couldn't put down. I was so invested in Jasmine and Daniel's story - this book made me laugh and sob. I also loved the sense of humour in this book, especially with the side characters (Ahmed being my favourite). Beautiful writing and a must read for romance readers!

This book had me in SHAMBLES! Absolutely beautifully written, it navigates love between two people destined to be together. I chuckled and laughed at the banter, was frustrated with the main characters for their shenanigans and cried for their grief. I will recommend this book to everyone who will listen!

I really like this book, the characters were interesting and learning about their background really helped bring them to life. I loved that the sobriety of the FMC was not her main story line but an important part of her that didn’t need to change in order to ‘be more fun’. She was also full of confidence and loves her body this was very refreshing to see in a romance book, but she also had wobbles that make her feel relatable. The dialog could sometimes feel a bit formal between the love interest and you could sometimes feel disoriented as a reader when jumping between days and places. But overall I liked this book very much.

This book came full circle. I love Jasmine and wish I knew more about her back story. Lots happened in this book, which left you laughing, crying and falling in love with the characters.

This is a sweet story that takes you through a whirlwind of emotions. As the title alludes, it focuses on the journey of learning to love. We are given two flawed characters navigating through their own fears and secrets which made the story so much more real for me. The story focuses on growth and had me feeling all the emotions. I laughed and I definitely cried. This is a closed-door romance with such emotional depth that I never missed the spice. If you love a second chance romance with a surprise ending you need to read this book!

I went back and forth on liking and not liking it. I applaud this author for the attempt. But I could not get emotionally attached to any character. When the main character died, I didn't feel it. I got a little emotional from the brother and fiancé at the funeral, but no tears. I usually can read a book of this size in hours, but it took me 3 days because it was kind of confusing without any real transitions between character thoughts and actions. This has remnants of several other books that I have read but without the ability to connect with any character. Sorry

This an amazing love story with several twists and turns. The worst twist is at the end with a very sad ending.
This is a modern love story taking place in London. It is about the best friends of the couple getting married. They meet officially a week after the engagement party because he could only do a quick stop in to congratulate the happy couple before heading to another important event and she was not able to get there until after he left, but how did they meet for the 1st time you will have to read to find out but it is a key point in the story.
The story follows them through their relationship and getting to know each other while building the characters and really getting you invested in each character. She makes the characters very realistic and relatable. She does this by showing all the imperfections in all of the characters and relationships.
She does give you a very unique relationship though because it really feels like a 1st love or crush from school days, but they are in their 30's. It is very important to the story and the building of the characters. It is extremely intriguing and different.
There are several points of heartache throughout the story and that is part of what makes the this such an original story. What do you think? Do you see the relationship like I do?

I honestly loved this book, I wish there were more details and that some parts weren't as rushed, (I'm huge into really diving into details and making me feel what these characters feel) but the story all together fit well. They absolutely did not see that ending coming at all. This is a great quick read and definitely an emotional Rollercoaster. I can't wait to see what's to come from this author.

I fell in love with these characters. The story felt relatable and made me comfortable in a wholesome sense that maybe everyone DOES GET THEIR HAPPILY EVER AFTER. That thought is brought to the fore with the plot twist which makes the reader reflect on past decisions and truly appreciate the gift of life and the present.
As her debut book Lady B has done a tremendous job and I am so looking forward to reading her next one.

I’m not a big romance reader, much preferring Romantasy and Fantasy as I personally like to escape to other worlds.
I was pleasantly surprised with this novel. The main characters meet in such an unexpected way and I love how their lives were so intertwined, yet they had never met, sharing the same groups of friends and acquaintance.
The slow burn between them was honestly swoon worthy at points, who doesn’t love an attractive man with pretty words?
I loved the dynamic between the friendship group. The author did a good job of showing how comfortable everyone was around each other, and I personally love the aspect of a friendly game night (sign me up!!)
Daniel’s seemingly noble actions made me so angry at him on Jamine’s behalf but I also completely resonated with why he did it. After all how can you truly love someone and bring them into your shit, with medical situations looming.
The reunion is always the best part of any second chance romance and I think this author pulled it off very well. The pull and allure and electric attraction clearly hadn’t gone anywhere despite the years passed.
And then of course we get to the ending. I love an author who isn’t afraid to end in tragedy, although I am a sucker for a HEA. The way grief was written about and explored in this ending was beautiful, all this work only for me to sob and have my heart ripped out?!
The only quip I have with this is the editing/writing. Overall the storyline/plot was well thought out and fit together nicely. It was just certain phrasing errors and formatting errors that stuck with me and pulled me out of the magic slightly, although that’s to be expected for a first time publish!!!!!

Lon awaited Love
The main characters in this book have a smash of a meeting in the first few pages of the book. Jazmine arrives only the scene of an accident where she seems to pay so much more attention staring at his muscular build than his injuries. The main male character is also paying more attention to the looks of Jazmine than his own injuries. As the two of these characters start lusting over each from the one little happenstance meeting, they don’t realize that they will soon meet again due to common friends.
As these characters meet again and begin to become found of each other, they decide to begin dating. After a few dates that span approximately several months time, love begins to bud in each other’s heart. This romance takes so long to get started, I often wondered if it just might fizzle out.
A huge defining moment happens when a “stalker” of sorts is found in an otherwise compromising situation with our male character. Jazmine walks in and doesn’t wait for explanation. The relationship becomes old news.
Now when there might show a possibility of working through the previous stated events, our male learns of some serious medical issues that he must focus on immediately.
I’ll leave the rest of the ‘will they/ won’t they’ for you to experience on your own. It may not even end how you think. 🤔

Congrats to Lady B for publishing her debut novel! I really loved the multicultural aspects and finer details that you brought to your story. The meeting & intended winding relationship of the main characters was unique! I truly appreciated the idea for the story, and I could have given it a much higher rating if it weren't for some glaring issues.
However... the book overall needs some serious review and editing. The sentence fragments and verb tense switch ups were jarring and distracting. Also, the point of view from third person omniscient combined with hyper-speed pacing and lost time didn't allow me to connect to the characters 😕 I feel that some extra time could have been spent on certain plot twists and emotional moments to allow the reader to truly feel their gravity...as it is, these points were thrown out & moved on from quickly. The story reads as a first draft outline to me and could use a lot more detail. I wanted to enjoy this story so badly, but contemplated dnf-ing several times. The book could easily be 4 to 5 stars as a story & plot, but needs reviewing and expansion on character development to get there. I felt like Ai was being told what the characters felt & wanted, not shown through their own thoughts and actions.

Everything was going absolutely great until the ending!!! What a punch in the gut! I was trying to convince myself that that wasn't going to happen but man was I wrong!
Jasmine and Daniel have such a sweet story. Jasmine is leaving her best friends engagement party when there is an accident on her way home. She bravely pulls over to help the taxi driver and his passenger; however, she never expected the passenger to be the man that her best friend wanted her to meet. Their love was as slow burn but Daniel fell so quickly for his mystery saviour and when he discovered that his best friend knew her, he decided he had to take his best shot. From weekly coffee meet-ups to friend gatherings at eachothers' homes, Jasmine and Daniels relationship started taking off. Daniel never wanted to push Jasmine into something she didn't want and he had the upmost respect for her and all that she has been through. Just when they start progressing further with their relationship, Daniel attempts to be a noble man and protect Jasmine from his health conditions. Jasmine was so broken hearted that he didn't try to fight for them but she decided she had to move on.
Two years later, Daniel is back and ready to get his girl back. Will she ever forgive him? Will they ever be together or remain friends? I had guesses on what would happen, but ohhh the ending. I had to catch my breath all over again after that punch.
This is a great story to read if you love slow burn, he falls first, and second chances. You won't regret it!

I loved how the character of Jasmine was presented… just a normal, regular young woman - meaning that it was easy to connect with the character. Even though the book is written in the third person POV you get all the emotional and thoughts insight into the characters. Although at times I wish the insight into Daniel and Jasmine was divided into separate chapters. I absolutely loved the natural sounding humour and flirting between the characters.
The character of Daniel added the curiosity into the plot… I found myself questioning his true motives and trying to guess in what direction the book is going to. However, some of his characteristics (possible spoiler so look away to the next sentence?? the characteristic of jealousy) made him less likeable at time. Definitely team Jasmine over here.
Talking about chapters… they are short which I absolutely loved and made the reading very fast! The plot seemed like a perfect fit to be made into a romantic movie. However, at times I found it moving quite fast but it didn’t stop me from understanding the plot. Talking about the plot… the ending??? Oh my, definitely was not expecting it to end like this. I think the ending made the book even better. Not your standard romance book for sure!
All in all, the book was enjoyable with a good plot - especially towards the end.

Firstly, I inhaled this book in one sitting 😅
I was desperate to know how this little romance played out. But damnnn maaaaaaaate… the ending was the biggest emotional smack in the face!!! I need some time to recover 🫠
It all started with a perfect evening at a perfect party… THEN BAM! Car crash! 🚘 💥
But fear not it then gets cute cute cute cute cuuuuute! 💕 I was a sucker for aaaaall the cute slapped on these pages! 😍 a beautiful slow burn 🤍
This was not my typical saucy and spicy romance (sad face for me). This romance was genuine and emotional. In places it felt very raw, relatable and realistic.
No actual 🌶️ but there are some heated encounters and mentions of 🌶️ … I was desperate for a cheeky smidge of it, but the lack of it should not stop anyone from reading this!
Lots of wonderful character dialogue, backstory, character development and forward movement. I likeeeee this! My only gripe is the jumps in the passage of time in some areas. Didn’t stop me from devouring this book though! 🤭
What a great debut from Lady B, can’t wait to see what else is coming!
