An empowering ritual guide for living through turbulent times from a trauma recovery practitioner and practicing witch.
Witchcraft, a practice rooted in wellness and healing, has the capacity to transform your life. In this spell book and ritual guide, Carmen Spagnola offers practical ways to incorporate magic into your daily life to support your emotional well-being. Carmen’s tool kit is part magic and part self-help, with the goal of developing strategies for stress management, self-regulation, and more. Spells for the Apocalypse will teach readers how to counteract unconscious behavior patterns, re-establish stability and restore resilience during periods of personal upheaval through a series of straightforward spells and 5-minute rituals. Whether you are new to witchcraft or an experienced practitioner, this beautifully illustrated treasure trove of practical magic is the key to healing and growing through the restorative power of witchcraft. When we align our thoughts, intentions, and actions with that life force energy, we call it magic.
I need to get a physical book to actually do the work. I did exactly what the book says not to do so it was pretty much an overview and a taste of what the workings would be like. This was a surprisingly moving book. I very much recommend it for the sensitive souls out there interested in taking some witchy self-healing action.
I truly enjoyed the realism and honesty of this spell book. The way the rituals and mindfulness are directly associated with an emotion felt like such a needed guide. Things can feel incredibly overwhelming. Having feeling based guidance made the work more accessible.
Technically, I will never finish this book because it is within grabbing range on my reading couch and the wisdom is ready to be released as needed! A perfect little gift as well!
It wouldn't be a useful tool for me but I love that this book exists and I hope it's helpful to readers who can appreciate it.
My one complaint, across the board and not just for this title, is that, so far, all of the people I've seen who are in the activist witchcraft circles have been white women who look like influencers. Maybe they are, maybe they all come from WitchTok and Spellstagram or whatever. That's not necessarily what we need, though. Now is the time to amplify all the helpful voices, all the people with knowledge and wisdom who can guide their communities through the upheaval we've been dumped in.
I loved this book - i liked how there are spells for each emotion/feeling that might be present in these times. I also loved how the spells seemed very accessable - minimal difficult items and very practical and physical in many cases. Already using a version of the overwelm
This book is fantastic. It’s a beautiful resource and so needed right now. I have no doubt it will be a treasured resource I will refer back to for years.
