Jess had no idea when she woke up from being bitten by a Vampire her life had changed. Now a dreamy shadow monster is sworn to protect her and the entire Vampire underground is ready to kill her.
This book was disappointing. The grammar is absolutely terrible and the story is so short. It’s so rushed it’s actually insane. There are some good short stories but this is not one of them. Don’t even waste your time. Seriously
Short, erotic. Honestly the setup is somewhat confusing and is not really elucidated.
Jess is a witch who is somehow blocked from using her (apparently formidable) powers. Vampires are a risk and Jess has tangled with them but not very successfully because of the blocked powers.
So she gets kidnapped by a Shadow Entity named Ben who marks her. And then there is peril and conflict and eventually resolution and sex.
OK, OK. The mutual obsession is good. The sex is erotic. But how magic gets used is never set to have any rules or consistency. There are a few too many typos and errors in the work.
Shadow Marked draws readers into a thrilling paranormal world where Jess finds herself unexpectedly thrust into vampire society after a fateful bite, with only a captivating shadow monster as her protector.
Despite its compact length of 47 pages, this spicy short story delivers both an engaging plot and steamy romance while introducing an intriguing vampire underground world. The story proves to be a perfect quick read for fans of monster romance, balancing supernatural danger with a dash of heat and a swoon-worthy shadow protector.
Shadow Marked Volume One by Tavita Knight could have been so good! The story felt like a super cool first draft, but it definitely needed a lot more work before it was ready. I loved the idea of a shadow story, and you could totally feel the spark between the characters even though things happened really fast. It just needed so much more—more backstory, more details, and more explanations for why things were happening. If the author made it longer and more detailed, it could be such a good book.
Got this for free. It was short and quick. Not much was explained, it was like reading a summary/abbreviation of the real story. Not exactly bad, but not thrilling either or can be compared to full long novel.
Confusing, reads like a fanfic where you’re supposed to know all the context about the magic system, the FMC’s ability, her sister’s identity etc. Says it’s volume one but feels like I’m missing a big chunk of the puzzle.
Jess gets bitten by a vampire and everything changes. She finds herself thrust into the world of vampires, a world of danger, a world of drama and a world of monsters. It’s a quick read, it’s a spicy and it’s a steamy read with an intriguing and enthralling storyline.
This was just okay. Quick read (needed a break from bigger books). I didn’t love the story line and it got boring. I love vampires and fantasy characters but this wasn’t it for me
