Ugh, damn. This was not nearly as smutty as I expected after the second book. So consider me disappointed. The first half was great with their introduction as newly boss/PA (one of my fave tropes) and once again I loved the Swap parties. Only this time there was nothing happening between the two main characters. The tension had me banging my head against a wall and when they FINALLY got their shit together at around the 80% mark I was honestly already over this book.
And also (I know, I should’ve suspend my disbelief again) WHO THE FUCK admits to their boss later that they went to that sex party again so they could hopefully watch them fuck again. *lmaooooo I mean, that he did is totally fine with me but admitting that to his boss without even knowing if he’s interested? NO FUCKING WAY!!

Trevor an Donovan forever
Trevor and Donovan had a hilarious at times and other times soul searching moments. They just seemed to fit right from the very first.
There is nothing I can think of that could have made this beautiful story better unless you added another hundred pages!
Annabella I sure hope we get Doug's story next because he is special

I'm so glad to have another The Swap book to read! Love these things. K1nky, romantic treat to make your heart happy. Donovan & Trevor had such a wild meet-cute, complicated will-we-won't-we thing with the boss/employee deal going on, but they worked things out. Loved how the relationship grew & how Trevor thrived & figured himself out with a little help from his friend. Annabella's writing is always a pleasant experience, like being a fly on the wall, we get to see the intimate inner-workings & happenings, shenanigans and surprises. Really enjoyed this love story.

I've enjoyed this series and was excited when I saw this new addition, and while I enjoyed it, it just didn't fully work for me. I think the problem was the writing felt off in this one. I felt like I was constantly being told and not shown.
The characters themselves were nice but kind of bland. Trevor was the happy go lucky young man who opens up the life of the workaholic boss. Very pretty woman type of feel to the character interactions.
I did like that the guys spent time getting to know each other before getting together.

it’s ok
The problem is that there is no actual conflict in this story. The first book in this series was ridiculous because the conflict there didn’t even make sense, book 2 actually was really good but that seems to have been an exception because while there’s nothing wrong with this book it’s also super boring because literally nothing happens. I get low angst but this is negative angst. Even the thing that could keep the characters apart is barely mentioned as an issue.

I really thought that the reason Trevor became attracted to Donovan so strongly when he'd previously thought he was straight was because Donovan was dominant, but that idea wasn't explored as much as I'd expected it to be. Instead, what came across was the idea that Trevor was actually gay and had never realized it before, which is fine, but I was kind of expecting him to have a realization that he was more submissive than he'd thought as well.

Interesting...
I loved Donovan and Trevor's story until around 80%. Then it went from normal speed to time warp. There was no build up, no nothing. Just straight to it and now we're in love. Sorry, I'm not a fan of wham, bam, thank you ma'am style relationship building. If that's your thing, you'll probably like this story more than I did.

3,8 🌟 what to say about this one 🤔
It was sweet, it was cute, it had a reasonable heat-level. It just felt too much like a ""Harlequin" to me.
The first "Swap" had a nice angst-level, the second "Swap" had a nice depth to it. This third "Swap" was just sweet & cute, nothing more - nothing less 🤷🏻
(I still enjoyed it though 🤭)

Short, Sweet, and Spicy
I really enjoyed this sweet hot read. I love a good boss-employee office romance. Trevor and Donovan were so good together. I liked that trust was never an issue for them. Looking forward to read more stories from this author.

Adorable grouchy boss love story
Trevor was such a delight and he had Donovan wrapped around his finger in no time. The end felt a bit rushed but the epilogue was amazing.

Donovan and Trevor
The swap was a very small part of this story but is nonetheless it is a slow burn and the forbidden boss/employee nature. I enjoyed it even if not as much as the 2nd book.
