One breezy day, Harry and his friends Ted and Lulu climb to the top of a little hill. 'Come on, Harry!' cry Lulu and Ted as they fly through the air and tumble down the little hill through the soft grass. But Harry doesn't feel loopy or swoopy or light. He needs a helping paw, or two!
Harry, and his friends Lulu, and Ted climb the little hill near Harry's house on a windy day. They leapt from the top of the hill to see if they could fly, although they really couldn't they all had fun trying. Three good friends having a fun filled day on the little hill. An enjoyable read.
>Summary: Here We Go, Harry is a short but sweet children’s picture book. Harry the Elephant is joined by his friends, Ted the teddy bear and Lulu the lamb. The three friends decide to climb up to the top of the hill near Harry’s house and play. Lulu and Ted decide to leap and tumble down the hill, but Harry is not comfortable following his friends down the hillside. Harry tried and tried to jump off the hill but couldn’t. So Lulu and Ted go back up to the hill and help Harry jump off the hillside. In the end, the three friends jump together and roll happily down the hill.
>Theme: Having good friends that are non-judgmental and supportive you will always be there to help you face your fears. Lulu and Ted are great examples of friends that supported Harry without judging him for being afraid to jump off the hillside. Lulu and Ted helped Harry face his fears and used teamwork to jump and roll down the hill without ever making him feel uncomfortable.
>Response: This book had simple illustrations yet they were very appealing. The texture of the illustrations made it look soft and comforting like Harry’s friends, Lulu and Ted’s personalities. The text was easy to read and followed along well with the pictures which made it enjoyable for me. It was a short book but it got its message across clearly and effectively with the dialogue used between Harry and his friends.
>Recommendation: I would highly recommend this children’s book. I think the message and theme of this book relates to what many children go through with friendships. Many kids will experience friends who might encourage them to do something they might be afraid of. This book can help show kids that good friends will be there to support you and face your fears in a loving and calm matter.
I decided to pick this book because it was an childrens book.I also chose it because it is a nice funny book in my opinion.I think you would enjoy this book because the charcaters are animals and who does not like animals.
Harry and his friends Ted and Lulu all hike up the hill one day. Ted and Lulu have tons of fun running off the hill to experience flying, if only for a second, but Harry is a bit afraid until his friends help him.
I'd like to think this is how my stuff animals play when I am not around. (Flying, playing in the grass and well, moving on their own) You are never too old for stuffed animals :-D
Summary: Ted, Lulu, and Harry are all different animals (a sheep, a teddy bear, and an elephant) that go to slide down a hill one day. Ted and Lulu immediately head down the hill happy and carefree. Harry is reluctant to go down the hill at first because is not light weight like the others; he is an elephant and Lulu is a sheep and Ted is a bear. Lulu and Ted encourage Harry to go down the hill but they notice he is scared, so they head back up to help him. Eventually, they all head down the hill together and Harry feels weightless and carefree just like his friends.
Theme: The theme is friendship and encouragement.
Response: This book is cute and great for children who may feel different from their friends. It was also neat how it was animals instead of kids because children love stuffed animals and may be able to relate more. It is very light hearted and has a positive message at the end.
Recommend because: Children can see through these animals how to encourage and help one another. They may be able to relate to Harry and need some support from others. Teachers can ask students if they have ever been scared of trying something new.
