My world has caved in, my mom is gone, and I’m living life on the run with the three men who have all hurt me at one point. Am I a fool for forgiving them? Maybe, but with the ever-present reminder that life is far too short, I’d rather hold them close than keep my heart guarded forever.
And seeing as how my death might be coming sooner than I think, I’m going to enjoy these guys as much as I can. Creed, my wild storm, willing to wreck havoc anywhere he goes just to keep me safe. Griffin, my giant teddy bear, always standing behind me with his endless support and comfort. And Asher… the man I hate to love, keeping on my toes at all times.
Each of them brings something new to my previously dull and painful life, and I’ll be damned if I let these feelings go now. But as much as I’d like to pretend everything is just fine and fall headfirst into learning how well these guys can share, The Celestials are still a huge danger to us, and they’re not happy we got away.
Fear becomes a close companion of mine as new threats emerge, more blood is spilled, and the clock ticks down all too quickly. I may not be ready for it, but a battle for the history books is about to unfold. And I won’t be leaving The Celestials or Blackwood University in one piece when I’m finished getting my vengeance.
Fatal Vengeance is the final book in the Blackwood University trilogy, and the books must be read in order. This series is a dark romance with one incredibly strong girl and three men who are all drawn to her, even if they started off as enemies. Intended for readers 18+.
Sybil Reese is a dark romance author who longs to bring all the depraved, terribly sinful thoughts from her mind onto the page. She writes under a pen name because her family (grandma, mom, and mother-in-law, included) are way too supportive and want to read and review every single one of her books... But these stories aren't for their eyes. Sorry, Mom.
When she's not writing, she's most likely reading filthy, dark stories and loving every second of it.
Third book in the Blackwood University series and it’s time for Prudence to get her revenge on the Celestials. Her journey along the way is nothing but consistent chaos. After finding out what this cult put her mother through, her through and everyone else she loves through Prudence is not backing down! And now she has Creed, Asher and Griffith beside her!
I enjoyed the series and this book didn’t disappoint in finalizing the story.
Once I started reading this trilogy I couldn’t stop! This book did not disappoint…the ending was a tad predictable but very cute. Her bullies turn into her biggest supporters which I love. Sybil Reese definitely didn’t let me down. She made you feel for every character you met throughout this series. I will 100% be checking out more of her work!
“If you’re a train wreck, then I’m the broken tracks that set you up for collision.”
Not a bad conclusion, but I think I was just expecting more action. For the majority of the book they were holed up in the cabin hiding out. One thing I was a little disappointed about was how quickly Prudence agreed to work on forgiving Asher. Her forgiveness towards him happened too quickly right in the beginning. I didn’t feel like there was any buildup to it and he definitely needed to do some groveling for everything he put her through. He did however manage to get me to like him and he really started opening himself up with Prudence and letting her see the real Asher. He wasn’t a complete dick and I appreciated that. Griffin really had me loving him again and I loved seeing him and Asher together! Things really spiced up in this book, especially with those two. And when all 4 of them were together- it was really hot! But man did I almost cry at the end when he telling Prudence to run and that Creed would find her and always protect her. Oh my god my eyes were tearing up at that moment. My heart was breaking for my boy Creed. It was gut wrenching to watch this strong and protective man fall apart and to see him cry. I just wanted to hold him. Creed is definitely my favorite guy from the group. From book 1 he was honest and protective of Prudence. He didn’t really do anything to humiliate her like Asher and Griffin did. Yeah what he did in book 1 at the party when he kissed his ex plaything wasn’t cool, but before that and immediately afterwards he was genuinely sorry. And from that moment on he proved himself and was honest with Prudence. He didn’t do anything to hurt her and he was willing to do anything to protect her- even go against Asher and Griffin. I loved that. All in all a good series, and poor Annie! I figured something was going to happen to her, but wow!!
🖤 Dark college bully romance 🖤 Enemies to lovers 🖤 Polyamory – MMFM – Bi awakening 🖤 Secret society
And now we finally have the last book in this trilogy and I could not wait I tell you!! It’s time for Prudence to finally get her revenge and it was oh so worth the wait. She is the best kind of FMC you could want in a book, strong, resilient and undeniable badass, I just love her. It was so nice to see the more in depth side of her relationship with each of the guys and collectively as a family.
To say their lives are a giant clusterf**k would be the understatement of the century but as a group Prudence, Creed, Asher and Griffith somehow manage to tackle everything that’s ever thrown at them. Whilst yes in reality this would be completely unbelievable it sure makes for one hell of a book! I devoured this trilogy in record time and now just wish I could read it all over again for the very first time. The plot was well thought out, characters were well developed and the smut was smutting, she be spicy…….3 cheers for a bi awakening, we all love to see it. This was the perfect way to end this series.
There were so many glaring holes in the story logic: if the bad guys killed Prudence’s mom at the group home and are trying to find Prudence, they’re organized enough that OF COURSE they’re going to camp out and wait for her to show up to deal with the ashes and funeral arrangements, and then follow to see where she is hiding. Come on. The MCs are not so naive that they wouldn’t have known that. Also, it makes no logical sense that Asher would spend money on outfitting the cabin with so much security when they are short on funds and it’s not like the cabin is going to be where they live long term. And how they just sit around for days when hiding out, doing no planning whatsoever when supposedly they are in survival mode, makes no sense. Sure, Prudence is grieving, but the guys could have been forming plans to take down the bad guys while waiting for her to feel better. Also, Prudence’s weepiness got boring after a while. Here’s an alternate plot idea that would have made the story more exciting and stopped more weepiness: instead of the head being Annie’s, it could have been the head of one of the bad guys that was left there by someone that was secretly on the side of the main characters. Then, they could’ve had an ally to help them fight against the bad guys. Another logic issue: Asher and Prudence show up at the university with the assassin’s truck but lament not having a gun when the assassin had a gun on him and they could have brought it. And they don’t even bring a kitchen knife??? That they could have used to cut the ropes on Griffin and Creed and gut some bad guys? What kind of fucked up rescue is this? Then the final fight scene is a huge writing mess. The author has potential to be really great if she spent more time on story development and logic as the writing has so much else going for it (good character development, chemistry between characters and steamy sex scenes).

“Fatal Vengeance” by Sybil Reese culminates the Blackwood University trilogy in a whirlwind of passion, danger, and redemption. Prudence’s journey takes a riveting turn as she grapples with forgiveness, love, and the looming threat of The Celestials. Reese has expertly woven intricate relationships throughout this trilogy, each characterized by intense emotion and profound growth. From Creed’s fierce protectiveness and willingness to shed blood to keep Prudence safe to Griffin’s unwavering support and Asher’s annoying yet irresistible charm, Prudence’s bond with her three men evolves amidst a backdrop of escalating danger. As the stakes rise and The Celestials close in, fear becomes an ever-present companion, propelling the narrative toward a climactic showdown. “Fatal Vengeance” delivers a satisfying conclusion to the Blackwood University trilogy, blending dark romance with adrenaline-fueled suspense to captivate readers and an unforgettable dose of spice that ignites the pages. Seeing the evolution of Prudence's relationship with Creed, Griffin, and Asher, along with the epic showdown with the Celestials was the exact ending I hoped to find for this trilogy and Sybil knocked it out of the park.
This is the last. You see alot happen and the best was watching the growth & change & a new former
I loved the series as a whole even tho were times I fumed lol. But the growth with Asher was amazing. I loved his relationship with Griffin too. And Creed the little crazy possessive protective guy. Gotta love it. I have to sat I wish there had been more between Asher and Prudence even tho it made sense he had to mend things. I guess even tho it said 4 years later I wish we would of saw more. Of like Asher supporting them like he said he would. Lol. Also these guys had wealthy families did they inherite their money. I know Asher took over his father's business for the good but did that get his money and did they others. I just wondered cause when they were on the run they didn't have much. This author wrote an amazing series and I'm so happy I found it. The writing was just great detail. You felt it all. You start with hate then hurt, confusion then mixed feelings the finally happiness. I dont mind Bully books but not a fan withing the Harem. But this book was so good tho.
"Fatal Vengeance" is the final book in a dark enemies to lovers trilogy. Prudence and her men are hunted by the secret society they try to flee from, but this time they at least have each other. I have to say, this final book might have been a little too lovey dovey for me. I love a good enemies to lovers romance, and I can enjoy a romantic declaration of love and devotion, but this final book was a little too focused on that for me.
That being said, this book wraps up the remaining storylines and the final was absolutely great. I was looking forward to the moment these characters would get their vengeance, but also quite curious to find out how four people without true power would be able to defeat a massive secret society. And the author managed to do it in a believable and satisfying way.
So while this final book wasn't my favorite in the series, I still enjoyed the series as a whole and I will definitely check out more work by this author in the future.
When your entire world is crumbling, will you find your anchor?
Prudence's life has been a whirlwind of chaos. From the devastating loss of her mother to narrowly escaping sacrifice and now fleeing for her life with three unexpected allies, she's faced more than most could bear. Yet, her resilience, and that of her allies, is truly inspiring. Despite the constant upheaval, they persist, always ready to adapt when their plans are thwarted.
Can they maintain their unity and connection to dismantle the Celestials? Can they be each other's pillars of strength in the midst of the crumbling world around them? Will they ever find a moment of peace to savor their newfound relationships, or will it all come crashing down?
The third installment of the Blackwood University series sees Prudence on a relentless quest for vengeance against the Celestials. Her journey is a merciless storm of chaos. After uncovering the atrocities this cult inflicted on her mother, herself, and her loved ones, Prudence's determination is unwavering. And now, with Creed, Asher, and Griffin at her side, she's unstoppable.
I was worried Asher was beyond saving, but Sybil did a great job showing his efforts to be better for Prudence. His relationship with Griffin was a nice touch, too. And Creed—he's the perfect mix of crazy and protective. I wish there had been more between Asher and Prudence, even though it made sense that he needed to fix things. Even with the four-year jump, a narrative leap that allowed for significant character growth, I wanted to see Asher being more supportive like he promised. Also, considering their wealthy families, did they inherit any money?
The book ties up the storylines nicely, and I was eager to see these characters get their vengeance and curious how they'd take down the Celestials, a massive secret society with far-reaching influence. The author made it fairly believable and satisfying.
While this final book wasn't my favorite in the series, I still enjoyed the trilogy.
This was my first book by Sybil and I did really enjoy it, so much that I'll be starting the series from book 1!
It was a really good dark romance book set in a college academic setting. I will say, I probably should have started from book 1 instead of the last book, so this review is solely on the last book in the trilogy. Sybil has a lot of great characters and writing their story came organically for her. It was interesting to see how so many characters storylines and friendships were entwined but didn't get caught up or felt like it was written in a sloppy way. Each person had a purpose to the storyline itself. I really related to Prudence and enjoyed seeing her relationship with the guys play out. Sybil did a great job with world-building with this storyline and I loved the spice in this was delicious. I easily would read another dark college romance by Sybil.
This book is the perfect finale to this series prudence is reeling from everything that happened in the last book and she is trying to mentally recover from the events of the last book and the cult has decided to continue with their goal of being the absolute worst humans that have ever humaned so that is fun this book has mentions of human sacrifice and also mentions one unaliving oneself so there is that and there is also blood play I will reread and I will recommend and I give this book 4⭐️ but for the spice even tho there is blood play I give it a 1🌶️ because something was promised but it was never on the page
This is a deeply emotional conclusion for the trilogy. The MCs are put through even more trauma and must find a way to trust and lean on each other to make it through.
The relationships go deeper, with pained but romantic declarations of love. Also some hott group scenes.
Overall feels are very raw. The plot moves quickly through rough emotional patches giving a frenzied, unsettled energy. I wanted more time for the characters to cope and heal, but they are in life-threatening peril so the pacing is believable even if a bit straining to the story.
For the mood readers: for a college bully rh trilogy that will get your blood pumping, this is it.
What a wild ride and a perfect ending to this trilogy. Prudence and her guys are in for the fight of a lifetime, secrets have been spilled and patience are tested. Griffin and asher got even closer and I love their relationship dynamics. Everything is coming together, but it's not without heartaches and hardships. I loved meeting Genevieve. The spice was spicing and that ending had me on the edge of my seat. My heart was torn out a million times, but by the end it was being put back together piece by brutal piece. Absolutely obsessed with this story and these characters. Especially Creed, that man is unhinged in the best way possible.
Fatal Vengeance is the final book in the Blackwood University Trilogy. While I haven’t read the other two books in the series, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I was able to pick up the threads of the story as I read and I didn’t feel lost at all. I will be going back to read the other two now that I have finished this one. Prudence and her Harem were a treat to read about and I fell in love with all of the characters. I now have a burning need to experience the trilogy from the beginning! Run, don’t walk, to pick up this trilogy. It is HOT!
I read this book as a stand-alone. I do recommend that if you choose to read it that you read the first two as it will give you a bit more understanding on the back story and the characters . I was able to follow along well with out reading the first two books. I really liked how the author managed to bring all the books together so you were wondering what was going on. I absolutely love Prudence and the relationships she builds with each of her guys. If you have triggers I definitely recommend you check out the trigger warnings.
Wow, where do I begin? This trilogy was one wild ride! The ups and downs. The truths uncovered had me thankful that maybe one day, justice could be served. Turns out I still can't pick my favorite main male character, but everyone already knew it was impossible. Book boyfriends are life, and they captured my heart just like they did Pru's. The plot in this entire trilogy is absolutely phenomenal. The author did an incredible job wrapping this up. I'm sad this was the end, but it was beautiful.
The perfect ending to this series. I laughed, i cried, i loved... It was perfect from start to finish. These characters are just made for eachother, ugh that kind of love, the amount of forgiveness, i'm a bit sad it's over now. But man oh man that was one perfect ending, even tho Sybil kept me on my toes, brought me nearly to tears a couple of times... PERFECT!
I don't think I've read a trilogy of books as fast as I've read this in a VERY long time.
I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this book and boy howdy, am I glad. I don't think I could have waited for the conclusion if I'd started the series.
I really, really enjoyed the conclusion to this trilogy.
I was afraid that our boy Asher was going to be unredeemable, but Sybil was able to show that he was putting in the effort to be better for Prudence.
Also. The smut was smutting. 🥵😎
I liked that we were able to dive more into each character and see their individual relationships with Prudence.
Our characters are definitely put through their emotional paces, and I think it would have been nice to see them have some recovery time from these scars.
Umm yes please!!! Could I please have more? At the start I hated Asher I wanted to throat punch him but after a while I started to like him. Is it bad I wish I had someone like Asher to call me pet? Like yes. I think I need help hahaha can I have more? Cause I think that could help me. I recommend everyone to read this book! But read the first two first! Gonna love it!

This was a much slower paced installment, very much focused on building the relationships and getting them to a healthy place. The plot almost seemed secondary which didn't take away from anything as it's a romance and I loved seeing the relationships blossom and grow. The ending was a little fast but ultimately satisfactory.
This was an amazing book to the trilogy! She did not disappoint and I am so happy I got to read it and it wrapped everything up. These characters made you love them and root for them. Prudence got the revenge she needed and I was here for it!!! Love this amazing author
Fatal Vengeance is the final book in this trilogy, and I can for sure say that justice is served. Revenge is best served cold, and this is exactly how Prudence gets her revenge! And now, she has Creed, Asher, and Griffith by her side to watch her do it. Incredible end to this story.
Enjoyed the trilogy and how each character brought something to the group that made them while. Would love a bonus scene with them years later, beyond the epilogue. Not overly smutty, but the several scenes in the last book are 🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is the third book of this series, and let me tell you I’ve loved every single part of this! Ahhhhh the amount of spice, tension, and drama!!!! Three male characters protecting the female character what more could you ask for? Ohhhh there’s a lot more to this story! The fmc is surrounded with testosterone who wouldn’t want to be in her position! She’s fighting for a noble cause, and the boys are there with her through it all! They go to battle with the ones that have been after the fmc! If you enjoy a good drama, battle, protective men, and love this is definitely one you need to add to your list!
This one got me annoyed with how much moping she was doing. Like we get it shit happened now get the fuck up and get vengeance. She forgave Asher way too quickly as well.
When your entire world is crumbling will you find your anchor?
Finding out her Mom is dead, nearly being sacrificed, and now running for her life with 3 men she never would have expected to mean so much to her.
How much death and destruction can one group survive? Every time they think things will settle down so they can make a plan something else comes crashing down on their lives.
Can they hold onto their little bit of peace and their connections to one another to overcome the Celestials? Can they rely on one another to be everything they need as everything around them is falling to pieces? Will they ever get a chance to safely explore and savor this new relationship dynamics or will everything come crashing down and end?
This was a fantastic way to end this series. I will however say that there was a scene that was teased several times and I was very sad that it did not end up in the book because it would have been so very hot. Guess I'll just have to imagine that one on my own.
