Maar er is één probleem...
Ik val voor haar. Diep. Hard. Snel.
Ook al ben ik een schurk. De man die haar opgesloten houdt.
Ik zal alles doen om te zorgen dat ze bij mij blijft.
Eén ding is zeker... Haar hart zal van mij zijn.

I've read a few books from Clarissa Wild before this one and they all went very well for me. Unfortunately Chased did not go so well and I just couldn't get into the story. I felt like I was dropped in the middle of a story surrounding the girls being sold so I was confused about that for most of the beginning. The book isn't part of a series so I didn't realize that there were books that should have been read first if I wanted a clearer picture about the human trafficking aspect of the story.

Honestly I felt lost the majority of this book and even when I got past the beginning where I wasn't sure what was going on with the girls being auctioned off there were still things that confused me. Syrena's past was only slightly mentioned which made me want more than just being told she had found a job at a strip club waitressing and that apparently her boss wasn't a great man. I just felt like it was a half-assed attempt to give her character some background information. Chase's character was just the same, we got some past from him and his friend Brandon, but those parts, again, just had me wanting more and feeling like I was missing something.

Also for Syrena's character there were times it was like I wasn't reading about a blind character. And I don't mean that in a good way. I'm not saying a blind person can't live her own life and do the same things that people with sight can, but I found it hard to believe some of the things Syrena did. Like being a waitress in a crowded bar, or being in a place she's never been before and then just leaving on her own and apparently making her way home without any help. I just couldn't wrap my head around that.

There was a lot I didn't enjoy about this story but I can definitely say I did enjoy the heat level of it. There were only a few smexy scenes but they were done really well and that's what bumped my rating up. And I would still recommend this book to anyone that wants to delve into a dark story. Maybe read the previous books, Locked and Caged first though.

description~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
Well...well...well. Although I quite enjoyed the first book(s) in the series I really did not like book two so I admit I went into this one with a bit of trepidation. Turns out I didn't have anything to worry about because this one turned out to be BY FAR my favorite book of the series. It was very well written. The pace was perfect. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. There was a nice twist that I didn't see coming. In fact, I actually thought the author was going in the direction of one of my most HATED plot devices. I was getting myself prepared to be grossed out and pissed off. Thankfully, she didn't go there, so all was good. Last, it was all wrapped up in an OK ending. Personally, I would have liked to have seen a further into the future look at this couple. But maybe more books will be coming?

~HERO~
CHASE...I LOVED him. I *think* he was around 40. Didn't seem to be a manwhore. He was alpha. He was sexy. He was batshit crazy. He was a killer with a conscience. He was smitten with Syrena right from the beginning. I loved his friendship with Brandon. Basically, he was just a really great albeit twisted hero.

~HEROINE~
SYRENA...I loved her character just as much. She was blind. I *think* she was around 20. Not a virgin. She was feisty. She was a fighter. I loved how much she cared about Cage and Ella. That said, she did annoy me just a TINY bit near the end. But I also understood her hurt and anger. Just as a side note in regard to her blindness I DID find it a bit hard to swallow that she was waitressing and cleaning a bar. That just seemed to be a bit far-fetched to me. But it didn't bother me enough for it to take away from my enjoyment of the story.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There is really only one secondary character worth mentioning in this one and that is Brandon. He intrigued me A LOT. And I loved his and Chase's fucked up friendship. I have my fingers crossed that MAYBE the author has plans to give him his own HEA.

~HEAT LEVEL~
High. This one was smokin' hot. Lots of kinky nasty sex. Collars. Spanking. Anal. Bitting. Blood licking <--- considering Syrena's background this seemed like a BAD idea disease wise...but whatevs (lol). This couple had excellent on page chemistry as well.

~ANGST LEVEL~
Low. I didn't find this one angsty in the least. There also was no OW or OM drama. In fact, there really was no mention of either main characters sexual past apart from maybe a couple generic mentions. I wouldn't say this was insta-lust but it was pretty damn close as there wasn't much push or pull.

~IN THE END~
As I said I LOVED this one. It was far and away the best book in the series (IMO). Great writing. A great plot. Likable and intriguing characters and lots of hot sex. What more can you ask for? Yours truly gives this one two solid thumbs up.description

From the moment I picked this up, I was invested.
Chased is basically Syrena and Chase's story and tells events after Chase purchases Syrena from an illegal sale.
I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet.
So I do love me a twisted deviant hero and with Chase, we have this in spades.
Chase may be all sorts of wrong but he is also all sorts of right for Syrena.
I wasn't quite sure initially exactly what he was hoping to accomplish with Syrena but as things progressed further along it quickly became apparent.
Chase lives by his own agenda of rules and because of these, he was swiftly falling into a black hole.
Syrena for him was a test to see how far down this rabbit hole he had fallen.
Syrena herself was much harder to get a handle on, but I believe she was just the right side of feisty.
Too much and maybe there would have been more of a power struggle between these two.
I think the balance was just right here.
And with Chase ultimately looking for innocent and vulnerable, well whats more so than a blind girl.
I also think Chase was initially surprised at how independent Syrena actually was, she wasn't quite the shrinking violet he was ultimately expecting.
I also loved how there was a deeper story running underneath, a river flowing that we gradually became more aware of as events unfolded.
This for me delivered one hundred percent.
My only slight gripe would be that I was not completely convinced about syrena being blind and able to hold down a waitressing and cleaning job.
It doesn't seem likely in my opinion.
But that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
So Chased delivered on all fronts for me and I found it to be an engrossing actioned packed read that I enjoyed immensely.
And I have no problem recommending this to others.
I hope you give Chased a go and enjoy it as much as me.
one final thing, From other reviews I've gathered this is part of an ongoing series.
I read this as a standalone and had no issues at all following along.
I was provided with an ARC of "Chased" By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Mmmmm I really like this story but didn't love love it.

For a serial killer I wish we saw more of him doing that deed we hardly saw him in action and when he did it was because he had to get away from Syrena his new captive. He bought her because he had to see if he can kill a innocent did those ugly thoughts would make him.. he tried but he couldn't so now he has a blind woman who gives him feelings. Their relationship is rocky at first for many reasons her not trusting him and him trying to get her to stop asking questions that piss him off and leaving to kill ppls.

What made me go not great seems Chase knew Syrena.. and thats when there relationship sorta blew up and her not trusting him. Seems Syrena mother was once going to be Chases he bought her from the same man that had Syrena.. the mother was prego already with Syrena so when she gave birth she left her with him.. and him being a killer didn't need no daughter so he left her at a orphanage. Yeah mmm I was meh about that whole thing.

Low angst, No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, No virgins

OMG!!! I loved this book so much i was not expecting to at all i just found it on my kindle and started to read and couldn’t stop until i finished it. Both characters were both amazing they are far from perfect and they both have there flaws and it was just so amazing. I also loved how the main character was blind ( don’t worry it’s not a spoiler you find that out in the first couple pages) i thought that was a very interesting concept for the book. I totally would recommend this book to any one who loved emotional new adult books with amazing characters. 💕😌❤️📚

Excerpt:

“Do you even know what you’re doing?” he murmurs into my ear.
I nod.
I can feel him smile. “I’m a monster … remember? I don’t play nice.”
“I’m not asking you to,” I reply.
“Good. Because I’m not about to listen,” he says, his voice gruff and demanding as he takes my earlobe into his mouth and sucks. Then bites.
Hard enough for it to hurt, but soft enough for it not to break my skin.
“Think you can handle me?” he muses. “That you can taunt me like that and get away with it?”
I shake my head, but he pulls my hair harshly, forcing my head back and exposing my neck.
His lips make a trail down toward the base of my neck, where he plants a hot kiss filled with desire … and something else. A hunger for bad things.
He wraps his free arm around my waist and pulls me close while his tongue dips out to lick my skin.
My legs quake. I feel something between my thighs … excitement … something I haven’t felt in a very long time.
“I’m not gentle. I’m not nice,” he whispers, sinking his teeth into my skin.
I hiss but still don’t reply.
“You’ve pushed me too far now, Syrena,” he groans. “I’m going to take what belongs to me now. Inch by inch, your body will be mine.”

whoa!
Tbh i got confused and thought this was some other author but even after getting that out of my way i had to go and check if this was debut novel!

No, not because of the grammatical mistakes but how the chracters and dialogues were coming off!
Like totally stupid and immature!!

While i read the blurb i was expecting this beautiful and steamy book with a strong heroine and dark hero but what i got was utter disappointment!!!

Damn! I was so shocked how those chracters were talking and behaving...

Each book I’ve read by this author I feel as if it’s her best book to date and this book is no different. After meeting Syrena in Caged (I highly recommend you read this) I was really looking forward to her story. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved it.

Chase is a killer but he’s not heartless. He buys Syrena and finds himself smitten with her. Not what he expected. Syrena is a strong likeable character who doesn’t let being blind hold her back. She craves her freedom.

I read this pretty quickly as I loved every word of it. The twists and turns had my head in a spin.
I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.

***5 ‘What the…???’ Stars***

I knew going in that Chased was going to be all kinds of twisty turny dark kinky goodness, but when you’re barely two chapters in and the running commentary in your head is

“What the fuck?...Wait...Huh? But…”

You know you’re in for one hell of a ride and lemme tell you that commentary kept going, with a few other creative and odd additions here and there, throughout the entire book and even now, after devouring it a few hours and even with all the cray crazy going on, it was utterly satisfying in the end.

I really liked Syrena upon first meeting her in Caged. Her strength came through despite the situation she was in, especially considering she was at a huge disadvantage, but now I adore her. Intelligent, determined and stubborn are only a few words that describe what an amazing woman she is. Chase is all kinds are dark and kinky and yet he has a very unique code of honor and rules he follows that made him utterly fascinating and as time went on I started to adore the very complex man that he was.

As for their journey to their HEA. I’m honestly finding it hard to put into words what their journey was, because there are really no words to accurately describe it. This is a relationship you NEED to simply experience first hand. It’s dark, kinky and those twists in it...hell I didn’t see them coming. But there was a connection between them that made it all work out in the end.

So, if it wasn’t glaringly obvious already, I’m a huge fangirl of the author’s. I love the words that her mind spits out, and Chased solidified my reasons for being a fangirl. The words hooked me from the start and the rest is history. There weren’t all that many secondary characters in this one, but there is one standout that I’m crossing my toes will get a book in the future because I really want to know his backstory.

If you haven’t read Caged or Locked, I highly recommend that you do before diving into Chased. If reading both isn’t something that can happen right away, then I say read Caged at the very least to get a good grasp of the overall situation.

In this third book in the series, we find out what happened to Syrena, who we met in the first book. While Chased can be read as a standalone, there are some references to the events from the first book, as well as a brief mention of the hero in the second instalment. It’s probably best to read these in order.
This book is so good! It’s dark, but with hopeful undertones. Chase is an interesting hero, and I don’t want to spoil too much, since his twist is one of the best parts of the book. Needless to say, he’s not a nice guy (the series title kind of gives that away), but he’s far from the evil monster he believes himself to be.
Syrena is a strong heroine, and she doesn’t let being blind keep her from being feisty and tough.
We’re introduced to the hero for the fourth book in this series in this one, though he’s a bit of an enigma. He almost serves as Chase’s conscience in this book. I’m curious to find out just how Brandon will live up to the “Savage men” series title.

This review contains spoilers.

Chased kept me reading and had elements of a dark romance however it was a stretch for me to get to the end. To be honest, I struggled with the first half of the book. The story took place in their heads. There was a limited dialogue between the characters. Questions or responses were meet with one word answers.

The book also bounced between the past and the present. There was a lot of internal reflection, how they became who and what they are.
This internal reflection is were we learn about Chase and his demons. He didn't have a conventional childhood and upbringing. Apparently him being in and out of the foster care system caused him to become a monster, a secret serial killer.

I had a hard time understanding Syrena. She's been on her own her entire life. She worked cleaning a strip club, stripping and more. I couldn't wrap my head around her cleaning due to her blindness. She's then kidnapped, bought and sold. Chase forced her to stay with him by keeping her locked up and frightened.

Her timid personality changes and she seduces Chase. They two fall madly in love after a few short weeks. The oddest part of this story to me was that Chase bought her mother years ago. He was tired of living on his own and was looking for someone to love. During her mother's stay with Chase she's pregnant with Syrena. She be gives birth, leaves the baby, Syrena, with Chase and runs back to her old life only to die in the hands of her lover and Syrena's father. This part of the was just too weird for me.

After a brief separation, the pair work through their odd differences and find love.

Dark. Twisted. Mind Numbing!

The good ol’ saying goes… third time's a charm! I have enjoyed this series, but Chased has topped the other two by far! New York Times & USA Today Bestselling author Clarissa Wild has outdone herself with the third installment in this saga and I am immensely happy. I couldn’t put this book down for a second.

I have been waiting for Syrena’s story since reading Caged and I am thrilled that it’s finally here. I was intrigued on how Clarissa was going to spin her story, but never fret, she wrote it electrifying, daunting and riveting! She always impresses me with her characters, plots, taking me down paths in ways I “think” they will end, however, twisting them to make my mind sputter out of control.

Chase is 100% alpha male, killer but with an endearing heart. Holding Syrena captive has brightened his outlook but he puts her through the ringer. I really enjoyed her in Caged, which I highly recommend you read to fully know where she comes from, but to see her feistiness and strong personality erupt while in her blind element was captivating. Clarissa always develops well rounded characters that you can fully encompass. By the time the book ends, you know them in and out.

I was blown away, no, shattered more like it with what Clarissa’s mind can spit out. This author is amazing and talented beyond anything and Chased proves my point! This is a MUST read.

Chased by Clarissa Wild is the story of Chase and Syrena. The is book three in a series of books on the dark side by Ms. Wild, the other books Caged and Locked. Caged does have Syrena in it but this book Chased can easily be read on it own I thought.
This is also Dark Romance so be aware of that it that isn't your 'cup of tea'.
Chasee is rich but he also has a very dark side due to a very harsh back ground. Chase buys Syrena looking to prove something to himself but ends up finding something more than he bargained for. Syrena is blind and hasn't had a easily life but she is smart and a fighter...but there is something about Chase that draws her to him.
This was a really exciting dark romance...couldn't put it down!

5 Stars!

Explosive. Intense. Unexpected. Twisted.

Clarissa Wild never fails to deliver... a jaw dropping, edge of your seat, heart pounding, twists you'll never see coming... romance that is sure to shatter you to pieces before slowly piecing you back together. This author quickly became a go to for be a couple of years ago and like an addict I keep coming back for more with every new release.

Chased was such a sexy, dark book with one twisted tale... words really can't describe adequately the experience this was. Chase and Syrena exploded into my kindle and had one mind-fuck of a story to give. Once I started it, I could not put this book down until I had devoured every single word. And truth? Clarissa didn't disappoint at all.

Y'all seriously I'm not even a reader of dark romance like at all and Clarissa is constantly pushing my boundaries (in an epically good way) but so so worth it guys... each and every moment.

And her alphas? Perfectly damaged in all the right ways.

I highly recommend this book.

Chased by Clarissa Wild is the story of Chase and Syrena. This is book 3 in a series of books on the dark side by Ms. Wild. The others in this series are Caged and Locked. Chased is Syrena and Chase's story and tells events after Chase purchases Syrena from an illegal sale. This is a dark romance and oh my, how I love dark romances and the twisted, dark, naughty heroes which is what we have with Chase- completely totally 100 %. He may be all sorts of bad and wrong but he is all sort of good and right when it comes to the heroine Syrena. Chase lives by his own agenda of rules and because of these, he was swiftly falling into a black hole. What Chase was looking for, needing in Syrena was innocent and vulnerable, well whats more so than a blind girl. Yet what he got was something so much more. Intelligent, determined and stubborn is just the first three words I could think of to describe Syrena. She is a scrapper; her strength shined thru first in Caged. Now we get her story and see what she is really made of and there are layers over layers that are being peeled back in her story which show us who and what is Syrena. Chase is all kinds of kinkery , dark and sexy yet he has his own code of honor that he abides by and takes very seriously. He is very complex and unique and that made me fall for him. He was different and that difference to him made this story even hotter.
Syrena was independent even though she was blind. I had mad respect for her and loved that she still kept her independence in the face of her blindness although I did wonder how she was able to. I wish that had been touched on a bit more. She was not the shy type, she was sassy and strong. So not the retiring type. I loved that about her and how she faced adversity head on. She was the right woman for Chase. There are twists within twists and turns in this story. Chase has secrets that he hides from Syrena. I loved that Ms. Wild kept me guessing in this story and the final huge twist was a doozy but what a great one!! There are some really sizzling and smoking hot love scenes in this read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes their books dark, rich and sweet!!

Chased is a consuming dark romance that will make you question your morals and test your heart. For me, that is a estimate to the author. I like when boundaries are pushed. I like the dark romances that you know you shouldn't be OK with what is going on but in fact you are very much OK with it.

"To me, she is everything. Her existence will be my downfall or my only salvation"

Syrena and Chase's story starts off with a chase. Literally. It's that chase that changes both of their lives moving forward. As a captive, Syrena has to fight her own emotions she feels towards Chase and mentally battle herself for what she should and shouldn't want.

I did not know that this was the third book in a series so I can honestly say that it can be read as a standalone. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything at all. Even towards the end when I realized that there was other books related to Cage, it didn't change my mind. It only made me want to go read the others just because I liked the book.

One of my favorite things about Chased is how tough, independent and feisty Syrena is. She doesn't let being blind hinder her. She owns it, owns who she is and uses it to her advantage. She's smart and has a big heart despite everything that has happened to her in the past. It makes her that much more compelling and it's easy to feel for her and want to see her happy, just like Chase.

If you are looking for a consuming dark romance that will make you mind battle with your heart, then Chased is the book for you!

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read and I can’t wait to go back and read the others. This has dark subject matter, dark erotic sex scenes, and a couple that need eachother. I loved bed Chase and Syrena together. They were dirty, raw, crazy, yet perfect.

There’s really not a lot that I can say with out spoilers. It’s one of those that makes it hard for a reviewer to really express them selves. I liked the edge of my seat suspense that the author intertwined into the dark/erotic plotline.

With so much going great with this book, I do feel like the story was a little rushed. I would have loved to have seen them slow down when the love started to form. Im not saying that that made it bad, but I just wanted to be able to savor the feelings.

I can’t wait to go back and read the other books. I think it would help me understand a little more of what is really going on when it comes to the start of the book. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

Not my first book by Clarissa Wild and probably, most likely, certainly not my last by her. She has this uncanny ability to make you think that you're reading something dark, but truthfully, you're reading something more. Chased, while not part of a series, has some characters that you've met in past books, so in a way, it's a loose series. It's dark - yes. It's also suspenseful. It's also so very captivating. I know more than once i wondered who in the world is Chase and why is he doing what he does?
It's probably one of the underlying questions i had while i read this book - why? Why Syrena? Why does he do what he does? What makes him both a villain and the good guy? And what brings him back to this little blind girl? Let's face it - rarely do i find characters that have such handicaps (although if you're about to tell Syrena that, she'd probably scratch your eyes out because she is far from handicap), and yet this woman is one of the strongest i've found so far. She's feisty, she's sassy and most of all, even through her fear, she still finds a way to go head to head with Chase, a man that secretly i'd be afraid to meet on my own in the middle of the night.
Clarissa Wild has managed to develop a story that is captivating and makes you think all through her book. There's not one second that you can look away because you risk missing something important to the development and those kinds of books are the kind that sticks with you longer than you can imagine. I know that's what happened with me and now i find myself more than a little curious to Cage's story, one of the three that was with Syrena and Ella in the cage at Graham's...

Chased Review

First off, to truly understand Chased, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading Caged and Locked first. As this book is Syrena's story and one that can be told as a standalone-- you first meet Syrena in Caged and it gives a background into before she was sold and a depth to what she dealt with previously. And man, what a story it is.

Chased is dark and gritty. It's fast- paced and steamy. It's powerful and unforgettable. It's emotional and will have you on the craziest roller coaster of your life.

Syrena was sold. As in book 1, Caged, we discover the depth of turmoil she underwent prior to being sold. I kept in the back of my mind through reading the first two-- what happened to her? And would I ever get to find out? She was one of those characters that stole a piece of your heart-- one that touched you and you can never forget-- to be able to finally get her story --- just WOW! To be able to have been dealt the hand life dealt her and to come out the way she did-- Syrena is one to admire.

Chase--- what a delicious man-- but what a complex individual. But even through his dark complexities -- you will discover quickly Chase has a heart of gold-- truly a remarkable man, even though he too, has been dealt a hard hand--
You can't help but love him-- to be able to read Clarissa's words-- to be able to get into his head, to be able to witness and understand his complexities was an honor.

Reading in DUAL POV is always my favorite. You are able to get into both their heads and understand from both points of view of what they are going through. Chase and Syrena'a story will have you on a roller coaster like never before-- have you gripping your edge of seat so hard -- you won't be able to put the book down. Prepare yourself-- but prepare yourself because the twists and turns in this book you never will see coming-- prepare yourself for that even more.
Clarissa at her absolute BEST!!

This book is dark. Like really dark. Please take that into account before picking it up.

Okay, caveat over. Personally, I think Clarissa Wild is an AMAZING writer, and where some dark romance authors seem to be twisted just for the sake of being controversial, Clarissa is always about the story.

Having read the other books dealing with these characters, I was happy to return to Syrena's story. The last time we saw her, she was being taken away from Cage & Ella, presumably for nefarious purposes. Chased picks up right there, and continues at a run. Literally.

Chase needs to find out something vital about his personality, and he needs Syrena to do it. At least, once he sees her at Gabriel's he knows she's perfect. Syrena shows him the truth about himself, and then he can't let her go.

Unfortunately, that's the one thing she needs. Freedom. She hasn't had it in years, and Syrena can almost feel it. Getting away, being on her own. But Chase can't allow it. Not when she knows what she knows. Not when he still needs her. Wants her. Has her.

At the heart, this is a tale about a woman who makes a man into a better person. Awakens the heart within. And there's a simple beauty about that.

I give Chased 4.5 teardrop shaped birthmark stars.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Chase is filthy rich and ruthless. He lives for the hunt. The chase. His desires aren't exactly normal. But neither is Syrena...the girl I bought. She is innocent and blind. Perfect for all his wicked needs. Perfect to prove just how far I am will to go. But there is just one problem....He is falling for her, deep fast and hard. Even though he is the bad guy. The man who keeps her locked away. He will do anything to make sure she stay. One thing is for sure...she will be his.

I really enjoyed this book. It is actually quiet the amazingly beautiful love story. Chase is a bad man. He has this habit of seeking pleasure at the expense of others. However those others are not exactly good people. They are criminals who somehow got away with their crimes and were never punished However, it is time for Chase to see just how evil and how far gone he is. This leads him to buying Syrena. Syrena who has been locked away in a cage for God knows how long. I really loved both of these character's. Chase who I just knew was not as evil as he thinks he and and Syrena who just wants to be free. However there are huge secrets. Secrets that Chase is going to find out but tends to not reveal to Syrena. This book is dark and twisted and will keep you guessing till the very end.

If you, like me, where instantly intrigued by Syrena in Caged and were anxious to get her story, you will be extremely happy with Chased. Chased is Syrena and Chase's story and it is my favorite of the series so far. As with the other two books, you can technically read it as a stand alone, but I recommend at least reading Caged so you can get Syrena's backstory.

Chase is the perfect mix of killer and heart and the kind of dark hero I love the best. After buying Syrena, Chase has a brief crisis of conscious though it doesn't last long and once that's over, he decides he needs to keep her. He doesn't make it easy for Syrena, but she has the perfect amount of fight to take him on and make everything worth his effort. These two are perfect together and though a few scenes may make for uncomfortable moments, it becomes clear to all involved Syrena belongs with no one but Chase.

Clarissa Wild has manages to give us another dark romance that has compelling and well fleshed out characters you will be intrigued by and invested in. I wasn't really sure at first were she would take Syrena's story after Caged, but I'm so pleased with how everything played out in Chased. Another well done dark read I can highly recommend.

I'm speechless over this book in the best way possible! I have an addiction to all things twisted and dark and devoured Clarissa Wild’s first two books in this series, but Chased exceeded all my expectations and had me staring at my kindle, begging the ride not to be over. Chase and Syrena are the darkest of the dark, will rip you apart and devour your heart and soul, leaving you breathless and spent. Is Chase the end of a nightmare or the beginning of one more depraved than Syrena could ever fathom?

Clarissa Wild is a born storyteller who can grip a reader by the throat from page one and not let go until the very last word. She writes the type of anti-hero I love…the one you can’t decide if you love or hate, and Chase was no exception. I refuse to give spoilers, but in the end, he won my heart, and Syrena’s spirit is one that not many heroines can match. Together, they are combustible, on fire, and to put it bluntly, hotter than smoldering sin.

One click the whole series. You won’t regret it.

We finally have Syrena's story and it just blew me away!!

Chase has purchased Syrena. She has gone from living in a cage to now being held against her will by another man. All she wants is her freedom but that seems unlikely again. Chase bought her to prove something to himself but he couldn't go through with his plans. Now this blind girl with the most beautiful eyes has stole his heart but can a monster ever be loved?

Any of us that read CW knows that she can write dark romance like no other. This one is dark but not quite as depraved as some of her other works. I loved this book so much and the characters were so compelling. The storyline just throws you for so many loops and keeps you guessing.

I loved the ending so much. Everything really comes full circle. So happy for Syrena and Chase!!

I'm probably going to sound like a broken record but this may be the best Clarissa Wild book yet!! At least until the next one comes out LOL

I do recommend reading Locked & Caged first, I've been so excited to finally read Syrena's story. Chased is emotional, raw, dark and gritty.....took me on a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. I truly loved both Chase and Syrena.....he's not your typical killing monster and when we purchases her at an auction it really gives you a look deep into his soul. I was onthe edge of my seat for most of the book, I was excited to find out what happened but at the same time I didn't want the story to end.

This book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily

This book is one whiplash of emotions. Chase buys Syrena to help him. Syrena doesn’t have a clue to what’s going on but one thing she wants his her freedom. I loved Syrena’s story wow what a strong woman that had me wanting to be her friend. Chase has his demons but the man made me cry and feel all the emotions and darkness that is in his head. Dark, gritty, gasping, turn the page not wanting to be end type book that I hated for it to end. You should read Caged & Locke’s story first so Syrena’s will fill in the gasps and make totally sense! 5/5 stars Can’t help who fate makes you love. *** I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book ***

I adore Clarissa Wild's books! Everything she writes is magic! Chased is an excellent example of the awesomeness that is Clarissa's work!

Syrena has been sold, but to whom?
Chase is ruthless with a capital R.
How far would you go to keep someone safe while trying not to, and failing, to fall for them?

Chased was amazeballs! Clarissa weaves a dark and gritty tale that will keep you flipping the pages.

I have so much love for Cage, Lock and Syrena. Each story grabbed my heartstrings. I really enjoyed how Syrena's story turned out.
