This is a very nice, thorough overview of Viking society, full of interesting facts and lovely illustrations to support the text. The layout flows very well and holds just the right amount of text on every page that should engage readers of different ages. There is a main body of information, short and to the point, surrounded by small blurbs of content that enhance the main idea. All in all, a very well-executed non-fiction offering on an interesting yet less-well known topic.
