The Minor Prophets (Hosea - Malachi) are some of the most neglected books in the Bible, yet they are part of "all scripture" and are as "profitable" as any other part of the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16). In this first volume, Dr. Ruckman covers the books of Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, and Nahum. Emphasis is placed on the main theme of the the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. The critical attacks on and changes to the text by the expositors and modern translations are also examined and refuted. The dispensational and prophetic material on the nation of Israel in the Church Age, the Tribulation, and the Millennium is presented as well.(Print 496 pages)
Peter Sturges Ruckman (November 19, 1921 – April 21, 2016) was an American Independent Baptist pastor and founder of Pensacola Bible Institute in Pensacola, Florida (not to be confused with Pensacola Christian College, also in Pensacola, Florida).
Ruckman was known for his position that the King James Version constituted "advanced revelation" and was the final, preserved word of God for English speakers.
Ruckman's exposit on the minor prophets is must reading. His defense of the AV 1611 is what draws me to his commentaries. There is no doubt that the devil has led many apostatize the KJV. Some consider his language disturbing, I do not. His love for the word of God and the most inconsiderate way it has been abused deserves harsh criticism. I have enjoyed all his books, as an adult, and I don't shy away from calling a spade a spade. The elite "status quo" need to be told they are EVIL.
