Scorned Fate #4

Scorned Obsession

Rate this book
It's when her obsession for him vanishes that he becomes desperate to have it back.

Bianca De Lucci has always been obsessed with Sandro Rossi. He was the hero of her girlish dreams and the dream man of her adolescence. But no matter how much she showed him she wanted more, he always treated her like a younger sister.

In one tragic night, she pushes her obsession too far, and someone dear to her pays the price. Sandro becomes the enemy, and she wishes for him to burn in hell like the rest of his family.

Sandro Rossi has too much blood on his hands. Hands undeserving to touch Bianca's goodness and light. But when he shatters her heart, instead of freeing her from her obsession, he extinguishes her light. A light that he realizes has become his addiction.

Now, he will lie, cheat, steal, and, yes, fight like hell to win it back.

The h’s inner dialogue makes her seem like a strong, confident woman. Unfortunately, she’s the complete opposite in her real life. Door mat heroines are a 👎🏽 for me.

This book had so much potential. I love mafia romance and I enjoyed the angsty premise, but then the book just kind of fell flat. I skimmed a lot. There was very little grovel. The book ended with everything being tied neatly in a bow.

Surprisingly, I quite enjoyed this one. Usually I stayed away from the trope where the woman was the obsessed one but then where Bianca might be obsessed with Sandro but she didn’t stay celibate or frozen for him. She still enjoyed her life didn’t exactly pine over him pathetically. It’s also a good thing we didn’t have that many flashbacks so that helped lol.

I also did appreciate how Sandro stayed consistent with his “I don’t like you because you’re too young for me” narrative and didn’t switch to “I have always loved you (romantically)” and that also helped a lot with my understanding between his refusal to get together with Bianca in the beginning.

Safety deets:
Non virgins
Celibate hero for four years
Celibate heroine for one year (if I’m not wrong)
Owd (from the H ex fiancee)
Omd (h ex boyfriends) well not exactly dramas but they were mentioned quite a lot in the book
No cheating

I've enjoyed this series a lot but for some reason this book didn't work as well as the others did for me. It wasn't bad and I can't even really point out what exactly it was that I didn't like, but overall it just didn't keep my interest. But I'm still excited to read more from the characters.

Bianca grew up mafia adjacent and she's had a crush on Alessandro Rossi ever since she was 5. He was 9 years older than her, and he never saw her as more than a little sister.

If you've read the previous three books, you know that Bianca is depicted as the youngest child of an influent family. She's never wanted for anything, so she's always been looking for wha she really wanted and who she really was. In this book we finally see the other side to Bianca, that Nico always teased about. She is the woman who is also brave enough to step up and doing something she has never wanted to be, being a mafia wife. Also, being married to her obsession, and especially under the circumstances that led to the wedding, is not what she dreamt it would be.

What can we say about Alessandro? I mean, he was always in the back, brooding, protecting Bianca from the distance, never hoping to be near her, and especially not marrying her. When this becomes the only way to save her he doesn't blink an eye, even if it means becoming a made man, something he had never planned to do.

These two are so powerful and incredibòe together. An explosion of angst, regrets, love and obsession, that rivals the best love stories. If you haven't picked up this series, just dive into it right now. You won't regret it.

🖤Mafia Romance
💞Childhood Friends to Enemies to Lovers
😱Suspense
🫂Forced Proximity
🫦Age Gap (9 yr)
💍Arranged Marriage

⚡️Review:
I totally got sucked into this Mafia world and the fairly complex dueling families. There's a good amount of side characters and history that definitely helps if.you read the previous books. This can be a standalone but I did find it a bit bumpy for me to get everyone straight in my mind for the first quarter or so.

But around 35% in, I felt in alignment and the drama really clicked with overall Mafia dealings that are acting as a pressing threat to our star crossed duo.

I really liked when the flashbacks came in! It helped to add that layer of history to Sandro and Bianca. It ends up becoming more complex which I loved! Diving into how her past intermingled with his during penultimate moments of her youth, was essential in their bonding. I don't see this as grooming in any way, BTW.

Sandro is a made man and marries Bianca (whom he's tried to bury his deep want for) in order to save her. Her still harboring anger towards him for his past actions feels justified and I truly loved how sweetly protective Sandro was of her. He has ugly secrets to his past he's tried to spare her from and I just loved him all the more. He has angst and I love me a big handsome Mafia man with angst. Also we see him do some violent things and I like that it wasn't shyed away from. This can be a brutal world.

How these two come to terms with their complicated past and the dangerous world they live in is a joy to watch. There is currently a power struggle as Sandro has unexpectedly taken the mantle and it's quite exciting stuff when that makes him a target!

Highly reccomend this Mafia romance. It serves the character depth I love, a slow burn romance with plenty of sparks leading up to an inferno, and an exciting family war drama!

To say I read a lot of mafia romance would be a massive understatement, but this one was a standout by far.

FMC Bianca is independent and feisty without being bratty and annoying. MMC Sandro was hard for me to picture at first, but when he finally became clear, he was swoon worthy. There was the perfect amount of pining and angst, suspense but not too much. I like suspense, but I typically find there to be way too much in this trope and that wasn't the case here.

There was no third-act breakup which I want to scream from the rooftops how happy that makes me, I really hate that. In fact, if anything, they just seemed to grow closer to one another in the last third of the book.

I was a little surprised at the character ARCs for Gian and Griselda, but it made sense that the author went that direction to keep the story believable.

When I requested to read an early copy of this, I hadn't noticed it was the fourth installment of a series, but it's truly a standalone. While I intend to go back and read previous books in this series to add context, it's not necessary.

Spice was a 3 out of five.

I received an advanced copy to read and review. I absolutely loved this book. If you have never read one of Victoria Paige’s books I highly recommend this series and her rogue protector series. Some of her characters pop up between both series. The way she writes her characters has you screaming at the book asking what (usually the lead male characters)the heck they are thinking and thinking to yourself boy that was a stupid move on your behalf. There is lots of drama, love, angst and a surprise twist I didn’t foresee in this book. A fantastic read. I didn’t want to spoil things so just take my word for it read the book. Do yourself a favor and start reading the beginning of the series and even read the book about the parents.

"There has never been a version of our story in which I let you go."

I really liked this mafia romance between Bianca and her childhood crush turned love of her life, Sandro. There was action, suspense, some mystery who-dunnit and a cute and sexy romance with a lot of angst and emotional chaos to keep things lively.

The angst in the beginning, of guessing what Sandro was thinking/planning was excruciating! I didn't know what he would do and just like Bianca, I was heartbroken, on pins and needles and still - against all odds - holding out hope that he would do the right thing and let Bianca love him ❣️

Of course he fumbles and things are a lot more bumpy for them than I was hoping for but through it all, you could sense that there was real love between these two and actions definitely spoke louder than words here.

The villains and the closer than expected enemies had me guessing until the end. Overall a super well written and engaging mafia/darkish romance. Bianca was a forgiving soul and I loved that she got her HEA and Sandro leaves no doubt that he is down bad for her and no one else but I needed a little more grovel from him. That's just me . . . I'm a vengeful little brat at heart 🙈

Disappointing

It’s annoying when the angst of the synopsis doesn’t match the rest of the book, because how is it that the summary is more intense and interesting than the actual story? Bianca was an exhausting brat and Sandro is a daft martyr. It would have been forgivable if the plot was exciting but I did find myself bored and skim reading because of the repetitive nature of the story progression. An overall unsatisfying letdown.

The blurb was amazing, This is one of my favorite tropes, when a woman says enough and moves on, unfortunately this one’s not for me. Everything happens in the two first chapters and then there’s nothing. I didn’t enjoy the romance or the plot… mafia books aren’t my thing so this is all my fault

***4 "Sunlight!!!" stars***

"Desperate people did desperate things.
And I was about to prove it."

This was my first time reading Victoria Paige, but after seeing this beautiful cover and read the blurb, I knew that I had to dive into this story!!!
Yes, this was the fourth book in the series, but it is a completely stand alone, so it was easy to follow, its only flaw being the 4th book was that now, I want to go back and read the other three books too!!! LOL!!!
"Scorned Obsession" was everything that I am searching in a book!!! I loved the mutual pining between our main characters, I loved the forced marriage and proximity and I loved the mafia aspect...
Sandro and Bianca were incredible together, even though they had too many obstacles to overcome in order to find each other!!!!

"I married the man of my adolescent dreams.
Our reality is different from my fantasies..."

Bianca was obsessed, as most of the members of her family!!!
Her obsession is Alessandro Rossi, a man nine years older than her, whom was always in the background taking care of her and protecting her!!! Unfortunately, Sandro is refusing seeing Bianca as someone other than a little sister and that is something that is hurting Bianca deeply!!!
And then, one fateful night, Bianca's obsession is taking things too far and someone dear to her is getting hurt...
Now, she is forced to become a Rossi and she hates Sandro for that fact!!!

"I refused to drown in my obsession with him again."

Sandro Rossi is an assassin for the family!!! He never wanted to become a made men!!!
He is satisfied as the things are!!!
He was always obsessed with Bianca De Lucci, but he never wanted to taint her with his dark side...
Unfortunately, now he is being cornered and he has to do the two things he avoided at all costs...
Bianca has to become his wife and he has to become a made men!!!

"She had years of patience waiting for me to react to her as a woman, and when I was finally coming around to the idea of it, she was icing me out. The irony."

I loved Sandro and Bianca!!!
They were forced to deal with things they didn't want to, but they proved to us and to themselves that they could do it!!!
Bianca was in love with Sandro all of her life, but when her childish dream became a reality, it was too late!!! She was now a mafia wife to a man that she always wanted as hers, but things weren't like her fantasy and that was very disappointing...
Sandro never wanted to steal Bianca's light, but he had no other way to save her from an ugly fate...
Now, he needs to find a way to make this marriage work and to make Bianca accept him as her husband!!!

"You know how they say there's a thin line between love and hate?"
"Fair enough. So that means there's a chance you'll fall in love with me again."

I loved this story!!!
I liked the couple and their adventure very much!!! I liked everything that was happening in the background!!!
In here, we learned that reality is not always combatible with our fantasies, but when there are true feelings, every obstacle can be overcome!!!
And now, I can not wait for Dom's story, but as I will be waiting, I need to start from the beginning....

"There has never been a version of our story in which I let you go."

This is the fourth book in the series and focuses on Bianca and Sandro. There’s an age gap between them (around nine years, I think), and to be honest, I had put this one off for ages. I’d seen mixed reviews saying Sandro hooked up with loads of girls and it just didn’t appeal at the time. I didn’t finish Book 1, but I actually enjoyed Books 2 and 3, so after seeing a TikTok review, I finally decided to give this one a chance — and I’m glad I did.

Bianca has always had a crush on Sandro, but he only ever saw her as his best friend’s little sister. He was protective of her, but never let it become more, and carried on living like a typical 20-something man — hookups, a long-term girlfriend, and at one point even an engagement.

There are two major turning points for them. The first is when Bianca is 17 and loses her virginity in a situation that felt forced. Sandro’s girlfriend knew about it, and once he found out, he cut off contact and ended the relationship. Nothing happened between him and Bianca then, but it shifted something in him.

The second turning point is when Bianca, at 19 and drunk in a fraternity house, calls him. He picks her up, they kiss in the car, and then he pushes her away. She’s crushed and decides she’s done. They stop speaking for four years — she lives her life, dates around, grows up — while he quietly waits for her.

In the present timeline, Sandro is “engaged” to his ex. The engagement isn’t romantic; she’s pregnant (not by him) and it’s purely about reputation and protecting her. Bianca doesn’t know the full story, so when she ends up helping with the engagement party, things explode — literally among the families, since they’re from opposing mafia clans. A mafia war breaks out, her brother gets shot, and to save him she agrees to a marriage arrangement (originally with Sandro’s uncle). Behind the scenes Sandro takes the uncle’s place and she marries Sandro instead.

From there it becomes forced proximity + forced marriage + slow emotional rebuild. Sandro never pursued Bianca before because, beyond the age gap and seeing her as off-limits, he didn’t want her exposed to his world. Now married, he has to earn her trust, show who he really is, and prove his devotion. She pushes back, stands up for herself, and they finally get to start their relationship properly while all the mafia drama unfolds in the background.

What won me over was how much he loves her. After that kiss when she was 19, he never touched anyone else. Meanwhile, she dated and lived her life — and he waited, knowing he’d already hurt her enough. The found family elements, his quiet devotion, and how everything tied together worked so well for me. It’s not my favourite in the series, and this author can be hit or miss, but I really enjoyed this one and I’m glad I finally gave it a shot.

I’m looking forward to Dom and Sloane’s book next. I think Bianca’s family’s arc is wrapped up now, but I’d love a book for Tommy — I’m curious about his story.

The reason for the three stars is that while the romantic storyline was genuinely great and I loved their dynamic, the side mafia plots bored me at times and felt dragged out, especially toward the end. I actually struggled to keep going for the last section of the book, which held the rating back.

✨E-ARC Review✨

This was my first book by Victoria Paige and while this may be the fourth book in the series they can most certainly be read as standalones.

This book follows Bianca, who is a part of the De Lucci family. One thing you should note her that Bianca’s family lives a mafia adjacent life, this was of course done at the request of their father but the family are no strangers to the Crime Family that Bianca’s cousin is the head of. Bianca was not raised as a Mafia wife (thank heavens), she was going to marry for love.. or so she thought.

Bianca has always been obsessed Sandro Rossi ever since she was young. But her obsession soon becomes to hate when an incident occurs in the Rossi household that put her brothers life at risk. Bianca is now faced with a choice to marry into the Rossi family to save her brothers life.

In mafia romances, we sometimes get a meek FMC but this is most certainly not that case with Bianca. She challenges Sandro and yes she’s reluctant at first but she eventually embraces her new life by his side and shows the Queen that she is. Sandro is your possessive MMC who never fails to drop a “my wife”. Honestly I don’t know what it is with the “my wife” trope but it gets me every single time.

Now a disclaimer I want to put here is that Bianca and Sandro have been friends since they were kids there’s an age gap here but Sandro never looked at Bianca other more than a friend until she was 18 and even at then he was cautious and didn’t act on his feelings. Another thing I want to mention that there is slight OM/OW drama but this is resolved quite quickly and there is absolutely no cheating whatsoever. For me with the OW I wanted to put her in her place, but karma did the job for her. I find OM drama quite entertaining as it brings out the possessive side of the MMC.

Now I love Bianca’s closeness with her family. Yes they are overprotective of her but they just want the best for her and they absolutely lost their minds when she married Sandro as she was basically in enemy territory and they would stop at nothing till she was back safely. I also enjoyed the found family that Bianca found amongst the Rossi’s, she created a strong friendship with Sloane and Divina.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. Bianca and Sandro’s relationship is complicated and they work for their HEA, this book has its many ups and downs and plenty of action that had me in suspense. Thank you so much to the author and the author agency who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

Scorned Obsession was 🔥🖤

I literally inhaled this book and finished it in one sitting!!!
Victoria Paige continues to outdo herself because Bianca and Sandro alone were so amazing but together like oh my dayssss!!! It’s really hard to top Matsera for me but it’s literally because of them that sparked the Sando factor and to get inside his brain was truly the hottest thing!! It was such a up down up down ride because the humor to lighten up things after some hectic shit was soooo great and also filled with precious moments!! I really feel there was a PERFECT balance with the slow burn, angst but humor and fun too 🥹🥹🥹🩷🩷

This was also definitely more mafia heavy which I personally loved because it just added to Sando being so UNHINGED 🔥❤️‍🔥

Huge thank you to Good Girls PR and Victoria Page for the opportunity to read Scorned Obsession! I was really looking forward to this one because, let’s be real, mafia romance is my not-so-secret obsession at this point. And with an age gap on top of that? Say less, I already knew I was gonna like it.

This is a standalone, but it’s part of the Scorned series. I’ve never read Victoria Page before, and I didn’t read the other books in the series beforehand. While you can technically read it as a standalone, I did feel like I was missing a little context. I’ve read standalones from other series before, like Meghan Quinn’s Cane Brothers or Vancouver Agitators series, and usually, it’s totally fine. With Scorned Obsession, though, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books first. So take that with a grain of salt!

Overall, I’d rate the story 3/5. It was good, not great, but also not bad. If you love mafia romance like I do, this is definitely one to consider adding to your TBR. Spice-wise, I’d say it’s about 2/5 on the pepper scale. There are a couple of steamy scenes, but if you’re looking for a mafia romance with a lot of spice, I’d recommend Sadie Kincaid instead. The Dante, Joey, and Lorenzo books are top-tier for that.

What I did love? The hero is obsessed with her (yes, please), and she holds her ground instead of playing the helpless damsel. I always appreciate when the heroine stands her ground. On the flip side, Griselda? Hated her. Wanted to smack her. But that just shows that Victoria Page did a great job making me feel something about the characters.

All in all, a solid mafia romance that I probably would have liked better if I had read the series first. Again, huge thanks to Good Girls PR and Victoria Page for the ARC!

Nailed it!

The characters have real depth, the slow-burn romance sizzles before it explodes, and the family war drama keeps things intense. Sandro’s sudden rise to power makes him a target, adding even more suspense. Best of all, the pacing is perfect, no dragging, no rushing, just a story that leaves you completely satisfied. Nailed it!

My first Mafia Romance and boy it will not be my last lol!!
If you’re looking for “my wife” and “mine” and “jealous MMC” vibes …girl this is the book for you!!

Bianca has been in love with Sandro since she was 5 years old. She worshipped him when she was younger, and became borderline obsessed with him as she grew older. But years of him sending mixed signals, and having to watch as he paraded around girl after girl right in front of her has worn Bianca down. Hearing that he’s engaged, again, Bianca feels something snap, and the repercussions of her actions, changes everything, for everyone.

Sandro can’t help himself. He stalks her, comes in between any man who gets near her, and he can’t, stop. He doesn’t want to stop. Bianca is light to his dark. He knows that she will never be his, he doesn’t want her to be his, he doesn’t deserve her, not with the things he’s done, but he can’t stop the desire to protect her, to possess her.

Forced into marriage, Sandro and Bianca are now in a completely different place. One neither of them ever thought they would be. They’re in the middle of a chaotic nightmare. Both of their families are at war. Bianca can’t stand the sight of Sandro and Sandro, can’t seem to let her go. He won’t let her go.

I knew right from the start that I was going to like this book! Why is it that a morally grey man stalking a girl he feels undeserving of is sooooo good?? I love a jealous/possessive MMC, and Sandro delivers!!!! Absolute “touch her and die vibes”. I loved the mystery that was also happening in the story with both familiars, and the Mafia business dealings. It added an extra layer of tension to the story.

The ending!!!! Hold on, that’s all I’ll say! Twist. Major twists!

There are a lot of characters to manage. This is book 4 in the series, so there is a lot that happened beforehand. It took me a minute to get everyone straight.

Loved the added chapter about Bianca’s mom and dad. 🥰

Need another book asap!!

Sad to say, Sandro and Bianca did not live up to the hype I expected from them. They had so much potential and chemistry when we got to see them in the other books. However, in their own, it wasn't as magical. I am someone that reads the synopsis before reading the book and in this one the story did not correlate for me. The synopsis says that Sandro extinguished her light, so I was expecting an indifferent, unfeeling, uncaring Bianca. I was expecting Sandro to try like hell to get her back to her spitfire self. However, that was not what happened. Bianca was Bianca the whole time except a few moments when she's supposed dimmer than her "past self". I honestly enjoyed seeing the old characters more than Sandro and Bianca's story. That being said, the last quarter of the book had my heart. All the moments between Bianca and her family, especially her dad, had my heart. And omg, Sandro and Ava - ugly tears!! Just a boy wanting some motherly love and care.

Why is this so wholesome? In all seriousness, I've got so many things to yap about this book so bear with me. First of all, Victoria Paige. Ma'am, this is my first impression of your work but why are you so good in writing mafia romance? The scheme and political play is written so good and the detailed attributes be it places, nature, etc is intriguing. There's a lot of "huh, interesting" moments & that's enough to describe the thorough effort you've put into the story.

Or maybe you just have a secret identity, I don't know. Don't hold me hostage.

Second of all, ALESSANDRO ROSSI!? Man, you've set the standards way too high with how you behave. I feel like he's going to be the type that readers will fall for instantly if they're looking for scarred hero who's misunderstood by his actions, who constantly locks himself out even from the person whom he loves the most (and loves him all along). We're getting a glimpse on how he's trying to be worthy to Bianca and that's a point among many that steals my heart. The things he says, stuffs he does, oh God. Grumpy and rough but soft and considerate only for her? Am I not praying enough for one for my own!?

And the 'b' in Bianca stands for 'baddie' because this girl stands to her ground from page one. A guy won't fight for her? Instant break-up. Sandro constantly pushes her away? Move on (but boy, he stalks the life out of her). She demands women to be conversed with more respect? Straight 'got it' from the boss himself. She's the sun to Sandro's abyss and I love how she has that girth to also be worthy of him despite their conditions. She's quick to put herself as the wife of Alessandro Rossi and act as such in the family.

But the starting of chapter 34 is.. sticky. And sweet. Not complaining but the tension in this book is very delicious. Ahem.. but anyways, can we appreciate Cesar's chapter though? Because oh my God, that's so incredibly beautiful. There's nothing more heartwarming than a father's acceptance to his little daughter's love.

I received an advanced copy to read and review. I absolutely loved this book. If you have never read one of Victoria Paige's books I highly recommend, this was my first from this author and I loved every page and while this may be the fourth book in the series they can most certainly be read as standalones.

This one however, holy cow. The FMC is strong badass, knows what she wants and there no back and forth a million times. The MMC is amazing and has you falling in love with the morally gray person he is. Their mutual stalking is everything .
I have not read the whole series so as a reader just picking up this book #4 in this series, I wasn't lost at all!! The depth of the characters, the depth of the surrounding characters and businesses were perfect for a book to read as standalone.
This was a great read, super easy, slow burn and when it got there, it freaking got there. If you love mafia romance with hea, you need to read this.

If you've read the whole series, you are aware that Bianca De Lucci the baby of the family has had a special relationship with Sandro Rossi since she was 5 years old. But you don't have to be addicted to the series like me or even read any of the other books to enjoy this one. Sure, it helps to have some of the back story, but oh what a wild ride. The book starts off with crazy action and WTF moments and ends the same way. Throw in the Mafia, and the De Lucci Alpha males that are super protective of their baby sister and there's a recipe for more fireworks.

Cesar De Lucci's family lives Mafia adjacent, meaning he and his multimillion-dollar businesses are legal and he has raised all of his children that way. BUT there is a De Lucci crime family which his nephew runs. Bianca is no stranger to the mafia life, but she wasn't raised to be a mafia wife. Except in the blink of an eye that is exactly what she is. Never did she think she'd hate being married to the man of her obsession, (the well documented De Lucci Obsession that all of them fall prey to) Sandro. He did it to save her, but did he? He feels he's not worthy of her, and he has his reasons, all valid to him.

I really liked how Ms. Paige incorporated how Bianca's family was reacting to this forced marriage. Her father promised her she could be divorced immediately, but that wasn't what she wanted. She was going to stand by her husband and be the wife he expected even if the morally grey world she already lived in was getting shades darker.

Together they need to figure out who is behind the attacks on her family's business as well as Sandro's club. It's all set up to look like a war is coming between the De Luccis and Rossis, who btw their crime family is struggling, and Sandro needs to fix that too. In reality the threat came from left field at least I never saw it coming.

I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Bianca has always been obsessed with Sandro, since she was too young for it to even be appropriate. He's been keeping his distance, but having his eye on her safety for as long as he can, until their paths cross in a way that has them being unable to avoid being tied together. Now they're stuck between distance and obsession, and trying to bridge the gap to keep enemies off of their backs.

This was my first book from this author, despite it being the fourth book in the series. It absolutely is correct in that it can be read without reading the previous books, unlike some standalones that feel lost without reading the novels beforehand.

I absolutely loved Bianca and how she was a little unhinged, while also being stubborn, strong-willed and mouthy. She grew up mafia-adjacent, but she wasn't a meek or cowering lead when she got thrust into the life, and she didn't take attitude from anyone. It was delightful to see her have own standards and to hand people their asses for crossing her.

Sandro was entertaining in how he tried to fight against his clear attraction, and in how crazy having Bianca in his life made him. Him taking the helm and coming to terms with the large changes in his life were solid, and the spice was great. The mutual stalking at the start of their relationship had me cackling, and I loved the flashbacks into them growing up together, to really show how strong their bond is, and how well they knew each other.

Some parts closer to the end of the book did have the pacing dragging a bit, but the twist towards the end was perfect to pull it back on track. Overall this was a fantastic read, and I'm going to devour the rest of the series. I'm also hoping the next book features Sloane and Dom because they had me side-eyeing them the whole time and hoping we saw some nods to sparks flying.

ɴᴀɪʟᴇᴅ ɪᴛ!

I'm not sure I'll be able to do this book justice or explain just how much I enjoyed it and recommend it, but here goes…

It is intense, action-packed, captivating and emotional. The author absolutely nailed it! The very first sentence grabbed my attention and holy heck, those first 4 - 5 chapters left me breathless and totally invested.

I'd describe the hero, 𝕊𝔸ℕ𝔻ℝ𝕆, as 𝓼𝓮𝔁𝔂, 𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓯𝓾𝓵 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓼𝓪𝓿𝓪𝓰𝓮, all in a good way. The heroine, 𝔹𝕀𝔸ℕℂ𝔸, is 𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰, 𝓼𝔀𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝓪𝓷𝓭 (𝓼𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓵𝔂) 𝓹𝓼𝔂𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓽𝓲𝓬. They are perfectly matched and the chemistry between them is off the charts.

Now, let me just state that although there is 𝓝𝓞 𝓬𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰, there is OW as well as OM drama. And whereas the OW drama had me gnashing my teeth, wanting to smack a b!tch upside the head, the OM drama made for some very entertaining reading - Sandro is the epitome of a jealous-possessive hero. 😏

Being a mafia romance, you'll probably expect a level of darkness to the story and yes, there are slightly darker elements but it is very well written - just enough to evoke emotion without pushing the reader over the edge.

One of my favorite things about this story is that it left me feeling satisfied, content if you will. The pacing is flawless with no scenes dragging on or rushed and by the end, nothing was left unanswered. *🅷🅰🅿🅿🆈 🆂🅸🅶🅷* 😍

I highly recommend 𝕊𝕔𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕖𝕕 𝕆𝕓𝕤𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 to anyone who enjoys reading mafia romance and/or jealous-possessive-obesessive romance.

𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕤:
🌻 Mafia Romance
🌻 Action-Packed (with slightly darker elements)
🌻 Friends to Enemies to Lovers
🌻 Dual POV (also has a “bonus pov” from a different character)
🌻 JP Hero
🌻 Touch her and ☠️
🌻 OW & OM Drama (𝙉𝙊 cheating)
🌻 Standalone with HEA

This series continues to hit hard. Sandro has been a bit of a mystery for a while, and I promise that when I say you have no clue just what he’s kept secret, I mean it! He may not think that he’s enough for Bianca, but he also knows that no one else has been so far, either. And he ought to know because he’s the thing that goes bump in the dark to test the guys she’s been around. But when his desire to give her a good life backfires, Sandro sees his chance. So he takes it.

Bianca is tired of her obsession. She’s not going to give Sandro any more of her mind, her time, or her heart. But then he has to go and save her from certain misery. The only problem is that the misery is still there. And its name is Griselda. This woman has been at the root of just about every problem and she isn’t giving up, even now. Sandro puts her in her place in spectacular fashion, though. He also makes it crystal clear that any slight against his wife is one against him and that SHE is number one in his world. It’s a bold proclamation, but it’s also exactly what this floundering family needs.

I promise, there’s a ton of heat. A huge buildup to the fireworks and then a stunning revelation. The danger seems easily sorted out, but it really isn’t. Things are shocking, amusing, saddening, and yet exactly what Sandro and Bianca need to move forward as the true King and Queen of this family.

Now I wait for what comes next. As patiently as possible.
