So, this was a book, I guess?

It was an epically boring book. To be honest, I skimmed about 30% of this. Anything to do with NASA and her work was just long and so so boring, filled with jargon and acronyms that I was too bored to learn. I get that Jackie was a genius but, my god, my eyes went cross trying to read through it so I just gave up. I felt a bit guilty about this because my biggest pet peeve is books that are unrealistic and badly researched, this one was too realistic and overly specific.
So with all this focus the author spent on the NASA mission and details on classic cars and 1950s architecture and design, not much room was left for interesting characters, plot, growth or development. But there was a heck of a lot of mentioning of how great and unique Jackie was at the expense of all of womankind. There was so much ‘not like the other girls’ subtext it made me feel like this author didn’t have much respect for women in general, or maybe this hero didn’t.
I think maybe the author was trying to create a nerderella scenario (Cinderella/ nerd) where the heroine was so perfectly wonderful and beautiful but didn’t even know it. She had men falling all over themselves when she was around and never even noticed, she was that sweet and wonderful, she didn’t even know she was beautiful. Omg can we be over this? Being oblivious isn’t a virtue.
Overlooking all of that tropey nonsense, there really wasn’t much of a story here to speak of. I got no chemistry from the couple, very little time was spent together, much of the book was just her avoiding him at first and then them broken up. So much of this story was her at NASA and her interacting with her new gal pals. It just bored me to tears. It seemed like a great concept, with a genius nasa engineer heroine and hot dish mechanic hero but the execution was terrible.

This is my first read by Miss Hudson. And I do enjoy it very much. The story of a nerd heroine, jackie and a sexy cowboy, Flynn is very cute. I especially love Jackie. She is nerdy and shy and yet she has inner tiger inside of her.

The story is simple without major twist/ plot. The characters development is sufficient to keep this book sweet as sugar. Nothing is OTT although the conversation can be edited to be more deeper and polished. I want to listen to other books in this series.

Overall this is a very cute sweet romance.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Tropes:: Enemies-to-lovers (slight), Groveling hero (slight)

The Story:
Jackie Darling Lee is a genius NASA Engineer. She’s an ace at her job but a failure when it comes to her social life. To rev up her social life, her co-worker and best friend threatened to tell a male colleague that Jackie has the hots for him if she doesn’t go out that night. She goes to a Texas saloon and ends up befriending a waitress and helping a drunk birthday girl home. The drunk girl’s brother happens to be auto mechanic Flynn West. Having been burned by an ex-fiancée, he didn’t have the best first impression of Jackie and the two ended up butting heads. Flynn soon realizes that Jackie is far from the shallow girl he first assumed her to be, and Jackie starts to open up not only to her new friends but also to a new love.

Likes:
👍 I love when the heroine is an intellect, and you can’t get more intellectual than Jackie. This is the first time I’ve encountered a heroine who works at NASA and I am here for it. She was so bad ass when she takes charge and fix a crisis. There is also a hidden side to her that loves cowboy romance books that I find so charming.
👍 Romance was great. They fall in love pretty quick but it feels realistic.
👍 Flynn is Jackie’s cowboy romance hero come to life which is totally adorable.
👍 Strong friendship between Jackie and her girl friends.
👍 Great family dynamics with Flynn’s family.
👍 Steam is okay.

Dislikes:
👎 Jackie’s ex-boyfriend is the epitome of a jackass. He’s so ridiculous that it almost feels like a caricature.
👎 Flynn’s ex also feels too much like a caricature.
👎 Flynn seems so immature to me. While he does eventually goes through a character development in the positive direction, his immaturity annoyed me.
👎 Slight misunderstanding towards the end that I feel could have been avoided.

Final Verdict:
I love the idea of a NASA genius heroine but overall this book was just okay for me. I may continue with the series if the mood strikes me.

rating 4.5 stars. This is not a perfect novel. It has some issues that make me blink three times because I could not believe it happened. Like for example, his older brother sleeping with his ex girlfriend to prove to him that she's not worth his time??? I also thought their insecurities were too strong and annoying at one point from our heroines pov but I get why she suffered so much From it. However!!! I thought this book was unique, a breath of fresh air, and super heart warming and cute when we saw our strong female heroine accomplish so much and have such a supportive partner by his side.

Thank you to the author for the eARC of Space Junk! Out now and on KU!

I couldn’t say no when Sara offered me an ARC of Space Junk, I mean just look at that cover! And who better to write a romance about a NASA employee than a long time NASA wife.

It’s no secret I LOVE a romance with a smart heroine, and Jackie grabbed me from the very first page. A super intelligent engineer with no social life, and a not so secret obsession with cowboys, has been blackmailed by her astronaut co-worker to go out and live a little. The project is dubbed “Operation Social Life” and Jackie finds herself walking into a Saloon themed bar (see obsession with cowboys).

I loved this first bar scene because you get to meet some of the characters who become her good friends and will all get their own love stories (see Sara’s website for more info on those books)! And the chemistry once Jackie meets Flynn is soooo good. This one has an open door level of steam, with a few pretty steamy scenes. Both characters are a little damaged from their pasts and they have to work through issues they both have. I really loved the way these two communicated with each other, it wasn’t perfect but it felt appropriate for their characters.

If you asked me what I loved most about Space Junk, I would be completely torn on if my answer would be Jackie, the strong friend group she develops in the book, or the relationship between Jackie and Flynn. Seriously, I loved this story as a whole SO MUCH! The epilogue in Space Junk is maybe one of my favorite epilogues ever, I had all the heart eyes after reading it and it was the perfect way to tie up Jackie and Flynn’s story. But I CANNOT WAIT for the next book, Soace Cowgirl to come out! I adored that Sara said which characters will be coupled up in the rest of the series, so I was on the lookout for characters meeting who would be their future love interest. The meeting between Astronaut Julie and Flynn’s brother Holt was especially satisfying. I have high hopes for the next book and the rest of the series!

If you’re looking for a fantastic contemporary romance with well-written characters and a unique storyline, I highly recommend Space Junk! This was a 4.5 star read for me and I just loved it so much!

Smart Funny Hot Romance

I highly recommend this incredibly smart, witty, well-written romance. It's so well researched regarding NASA 's programs and techniques and remains funny with great characters that you can really get behind. I loved Jackie and Flynn. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Well, this book was a surprise because I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. It was fun, sweet and sexy. A whip-smart woman meets a billionaire in disguise of a mechanic and sparks fly between them. Jackie was quirky and adorable while Flynn had been hurt before and didn't want to reveal his real identity at first. It gave off plenty of the "opposites attract" vibes because Jackie being described as a nerd was obviously so smart and knowledgeable while Flynn sometimes couldn't decipher what she rambled about but still listened to her and paid attention. Jackie & Flynn had great chemistry and this was overall a very cute and light read. The only complaint I have is that the conflict (OW drama) felt forced and came out of nowhere. Also the disaster that happened to Jackie's friend took almost two chapters to get resolved and I lost my interest after that part tbh. The epilogue was the saving grace though. I liked the side characters and the next book is going to be about Flynn's brother and Jackie's friend which I'm looking forward to.

If you enjoy a smart, sexy contemporary romance, pick up Space Junk by debut author Sara L. Hudson. Jackie works at NASA, in Mission Control. She's a nerd, a real genius, and it has made her miss the kind of social life a 29 year old should have enjoyed. Instead, she's way too focused on numbers and aeronautical engineering. Her best friend Julie is an astronaut who is determined to make her pal get out and mix and mingle. So Operation Social Life is born--even though Julie is currently orbiting the Earth in the International Space Station. There's a hot guy, a group of new friends who I hope will have their own romances in the near future, and some suspense when there's trouble in space. I loved the characters, especially brainiac Jackie. It didn't hurt that Flynn was my favorite type of alpha hero. Don't miss this fun read. I'm looking forward to book 2, Space Cowgirl, coming March 26.

Houston we have a problem: Five Stars just ain’t gonna cut it for this book!!! “Space Junk: Houston We Have A Hottie”, is a hilarious, sexy, feel good read.

Jackie Darling Lee is a genius and works for NASA. She is smart, beautiful, socially awkward and absolutely adorable. There are just too many things to love about her.

Flynn West is a sexy cowboy mechanic (yes, he’s a cowboy AND a mechanic *sigh*). Filthy rich and beautifully broken because of mistakes in his past. He’s not ready for the havoc one glasses wearing, shit box driving brainiac will wreak on his life.

Together these two are magic. Their attraction is hot and their resistance zilch. But miscommunication and misunderstandings arise that force them to make tough choices. No worries, when you love someone like these two love each other, only one thing can come from it - an incredibly sexy happily ever after written in the stars.

TBR this fantastic read and prepare yourself for a laugh out loud, panty melting read.

I liked this but there was something weird that I've been thinking about that really shouldn't have bothered me but well it did and it's my review and my experience so I can focus on what I like.

So I loved Jackie and Flynn, they were super cute and I loved all the side characters, and I loved how over the top everything was and how it all felt rather like a soap opera but a soap opera in NASA. It was fun.

But well, Fox News was mentioned like three times and in a non derisive way. And even though this is a silly reason to be annoyed with a book it's what we got. I personally don't think Fox News should be mentioned in any book unless you are trying to convey how truly sheep like and ignorant the person watching it is.

Harsh? Yes.

Accurate and how the majority of the world sees people who watch Fox News? Also, yes.

Houston We Have Pheromones ~ 3 stars.

FMC is an oblivious genius.

I’m being manhandled. I’ve never been manhandled.

She’s really quirky and cute. If you’ve ever had a really Einstein-level smart friend, then you know how they can talk about just about anything factual, but they have zero people, social, interpersonal awareness or skills. That’s the FMC here, and she was written perfectly.

MMC is a rich boy turned blue collar mechanic… err cowboy ;)

And that is when I know I have it bad, when I feel the need to broadcast the fact I’m on a date to a pubescent teenager with wisps for a mustache.

He’s ah’right. I think there’s too much time and energy wasted on his obsession with other people being obsessed with money while he’s still clearly obsessed with money lol - expensive cars and house. I mean hundreds of thousands for a car is the same point whether it’s an antique or new sports. Eyerolls. Actually, he does a few hypocritical things here. It’s not terrible… but, I didn’t swoon either.

The friendships…

This isn’t just a romance. The FMC also gathers a social circle to push her, support her, and love her. Very well written. Loved Rose…

“When I was in grad school, I was a T.A.” “Tits and ass?” Rose gasps. “You were a stripper!”

Cute epilogue five years into the future.

Clever cover that’s very befitting.

A few laughs here and there, but this isn’t fit-busting Rom-Com.

Complaints

A lot of NASA terminology that kinda bogs the reader down. The disaster took an entire chapter. Don’t get me wrong, I really loved the NASA. storyline, but it should’ve been condensed so that it didn’t feel like a series of speed bumps.

The OW and brother drama felt forced. Why’d the ex just show up at a NASA party the very same day that the MMC’s brother also just happened to tag along with the characters. < Forced drama.

OM drama was hinted at from two different directions, but the threads were just left dangling.

Gather ‘round and lean in close, book peeps, because I’m about to let you in on the best kept secret in romance today. That secret is this new astronaut trope series penned by a very talented rising star, Sara Hudson. Sure, there’s the anticipated heat and heart we all love in our romance reading, but the behind-the-scenes peek into the NASA space program is fascinating and in a class by itself, effortlessly elevating this book head and shoulders above the average romcom.

Let me tell you about Dr. Jackie Darling Lee. Ahhhhhh, Jackie!! Hands down, she's my new favorite heroine. I simultaneously wanted to wrap her up to keep her and her heart safe while blasting her on national television in a 24/7 loop to tell the world how amazing she is! As a NASA flight controller, she's incredibly brilliant, adorably awkward, and very inexperienced in social relationships outside of her work peers. And funny! This girl kept me in stitches throughout the book, but she also has a sweet innocence about her that makes it impossible not to love her.

Now Flynn, bless his heart. Since he's finally grown up from his party days, it’s apparent how big this hunky mechanic and classic car restorer’s heart is, but he's so afraid of repeating past mistakes that fear takes over and he measures Jackie against the stereotypical women from his past. But he also has redeeming qualities out the wazoo, so I can forgive his moment of caveman possession. Flynn is so perfect for Jackie, and together they’re too precious for words. He sees her beauty, both inside and out, and he loves her amazing brain best of all. And her glasses, too, because those are really hot and rev his engine.

Truly, I couldn’t get enough of these characters. I wish this were a box set and that all the characters' stories were already published so I could read them all straight through. Each of the characters are so well done, so lively, authentic and relatable, that I felt like I was experiencing every scene alongside them. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! First, I have a feeling it’s going to be epic, and second, I’m nowhere near ready to turn loose of all these phenomenal characters. Go ahead and hit the 1-Click, because you definitely don’t want to miss this heartfelt, steamy, hilarious, fantastic read!

This was like if The Big Bang Theory (the series) was actually funny and the main characters were likable (also if it was a romance). I loved it. The funniest and the most interesting contemporary I’ve read in a while.

***

Jackie Darling Lee not only has a cool name but also a cool job at NASA. There are still a couple things on her to-do list though, like, become an astronaut, get a social life, etc. Then, she’s blackmailed into going out and she unknowingly starts working on both of those items on her list.

Maybe I liked this book a lot because it doesn’t try so hard to have a gimmick. It just has great leads and a cute story and lets them do their magic. Jackie was a great fmc : smart, confident in her abilities and knowledge, if a bit socially awkward. Flynn was an unforgettable mmc because he wasn’t at all an alphahole even though he had the makings of one. I swooned when Flynn got Jackie to text him back by sending her annoyingly wrong informative texts like : the moon landing was a hoax.

I loved the friendship between the 3 (+1 absentee) women. Side characters were delightful. Especially Rose (I can’t wait to read her book -and honestly all the others). It means so much when Jackie was having problems with Flynn, Rose didn’t try to push them back together, giving them time to sort things out by themselves and being there for Jackie as her friend and not Flynn’s sister.

I think I’m half in love with the women of Sara L Hudson. Like I said, I’m already itching to read their novels and get inside their heads (especially Rose’s). The men are not too shabby either.

***

Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Certified geek Jackie is a genius when it comes to her position as an engineer at NASA but when it comes to men and flirting, she is pretty oblivious. She was hurt by a jerk back in college and has been blind to men ever since. She prefers her stacks of cowboy romance novels to real life men who can hurt her.

It takes blackmail by her astronaut pal Jules to get her to go out and meet someone.

Jackie starts Operation Social Life with a night at Big Texas Saloon where proceeds to sit on a barstool by herself all night. She spies a handsome man across the room but after being distracted by her waitress, she turns around and he is gone.

Don’t worry, they meet soon after and get caught in the same orbit. Flynn’s pursues Jackie and she finally catches on.

A badly timed visit from Flynn’s ex and a crisis at NASA threaten their budding relationship.

All ends with a HEA. Only a little bit of angst in getting there.

***

This is a fun little romantic comedy. I could totally envision it as a movie while I read it.

The POV alternates between Jackie and Flynn within the chapters. I typically prefer single POV but dual POV worked for this story. There isn’t overlap of events so it wasn’t annoying.

The one long sex scene spans about five pages. Another quickie is about one page long. Don’t read this book expecting a lot of steamy scenes.

I really enjoyed the NASA aspect of this story. It’s not every day that you get to read a romantic comedy written by an author whose husband works for NASA. I have no idea if the sciency details were accurate but they sure sounded legit.

I will definitely check out more books by Sara in the future!

NASA engineer Dr. Jackie Darling Lee is a genius about many things... the male species is not one of them (despite the many cowboy romances she reads).
Then a little friendly blackmail from a co-worker has Jackie walking into a Texas saloon ready to initiate Operation Social Life.
After making friends with her waitress and helping a drunk country beauty get home safely, she thinks she’s off to a good start.

Flynn West left his family’s rich ranching life behind after discovering his girlfriend’s gold digging ways. Now he specializes in vintage muscle car restorations in his own shop in Houston.
He’s taken women off his radar, until a wild-haired blonde drags his drunk little sister through his front door.
The moment he sees those thick, black-framed glasses on that slender nose, Flynn’s captivated. Ignitions ignite, and not just from Flynn’s skills at hot-wiring cars.

But in the midst of the International Space Station being threatened and old flames reappearing, can Jackie and Flynn let go of old hang-ups long enough to reach the end of their Happily Ever After countdown?

Or will it be a failure to launch?

Another unexpected gem. This was an author that I'd never heard of, and I was excited to read it based on the catchy cover/title as well as what sounded like a unique-ish plot. The book was very well written and I enjoyed the humor and intelligence of the characters. I listened to the audio book and was also pleased by the narration, done by two narrators I'd never heard of but would be happy to listen to again, they were great.

★★ 2 most clueless genius stars

The truth is, I could have loved this if this wasn't so freaking dumb. Despite the very adult and mature context of this, it still feels incredibly juvenile and dare I say amateur.

Everyone is dumb.

Jackie is a NASA engineer who lives in a dump and drives an equally dumpy car. Jackie is also a pushover and a doormat. She tried to be quirky and cute but she just annoyed me. How she manages to be little miss dum-dum despite being the brightest person in the room is not surprising to me in the very least. Really, how many times have we encounter fictional characters who lost their senses because they weren't getting laid enough? Many.

Or maybe she's just not that street smart, that happens too.

All that aside, I hope the author had put in as much effort into Jackie's character development as much as she did with explaining all things NASA to us mere mortal readers. But we get it ...

And just when I thought this couldn't get any dumber ...

... it only manages to get dumber and dumber by the chapter.

For all the wealth West Family has, they all sure lack functioning brain cells.

Flynn is a misogynistic caveman who has a personality of a motor oil. He left his close-to-wasted young sister at a bar on her birthday among with the company of people he doesn't trust, really, what's not clicking here?
“Hopefully that will be me someday,” Jackie whispers, throwing a shy smile my way.

I make myself nod, though I can’t help but hope it doesn’t happen.

Flynn really thought his cowboy dick is more important than Jackie's dreams. I mean the nerve of this prick. Small-dick energy much? Why do we keep finding these kind of men so appealing?

The West Family wealth never made much sense. Is that all the conflict to it? The money? People want their money? Oh no, how ever shall they live their perfectly normal rich lives?

And don't get me started on Holt I-slept-with-Beth-so-you-can-see-why-she's-no-good-for-you West.

Jules, Rose and Trish's role as the voice of reason is so dull. Are the main characters that dumb that they wouldn't move if these three didn't push them? What would this book be if not for those three? What now, huh? Ugh.

I had read the authors first book in this series Space Age and while I enjoyed it, I did feel there were some parts that could have been made a bit tighter for a better story. In Space Junk she has found her stride at least for me she did. This book was a great balance of sweet, loads of heat, loads of laugh out loud moments, not overdone angst, some sad moments, revenge from some douchie ex’s, family reunions, hints of danger, geek speak for those of us that enjoy that sort of thing, learning about some of the behind scenes of NASA, a lesson in hotwiring cars, to include the stimulating feel of a big car engine rumbling under you plus an out of this world HEA.

Jackie Darling Lee is a genius with her doctorates and her love of all things research works for NASA. So with a not so subtle push (blackmail) from a fellow co-worker Jules to get out and live a little Jackie initiates Operation Social Life. This may sound good in theory but implementation seems somewhat elusive until she finds herself taking care of a really drunk brand spanking new 21y/o Rose that has had too much to drink. Her waitperson Trish said she was the most interesting customer that night, and she likes the way Jackie speaks…making Operation Social Life a success as far as she is concerned. Last but not least a tall drink of water in the body of Flynn West that plays nicely into her cowboy fantasy. Too bad he seems to have a stick up his rear…which also happens to be very delectable.

With a case of mistaken identity by Flynn in regards to Jackie they don’t get off to a good start. Once he removes said stick he does a serious pursuit of this hard to get a handle on woman that confounds him, challenges him and keeps him in a perpetual state of arousal with her big nerdy glasses, her intellect, her unconscious sexiness, her loveable awkwardness that is so endearing and her genuine interest in him as a person and not as an ATM.

This book gives you the warm fuzzies as you experience these 3 very different women form this wonderful, caring and sometimes-crazy friendship. With Jackie’s sweetness and innocence that makes you want to wrap her in a cocoon to keep her safe from the ugly in the world. Flynn likes being in charge and Jackie throws him off balance with her subtle ways of getting the upper hand without meaning too. He steps in some cow patties along the way, heck they both do for that matter. Once these two stop letting the past dictate their future they find their happy geosynchronous orbit.

Thank you to Victory Editing, Sara L. Hudson and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC for Space Junk! 🚀
Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spicy level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

A fun, quirky, spicy read, with a smart badass main character and great supporting characters.
Some of the characters felt super cliche and over the top, (see: Flynn's ex-gf), and a lot of the spacey NASA explanations were a bit confusing and overwhelming at first, but were explained pretty well. I read this pretty quickly, it was fast-paced, funny and the NASA storyline was super interesting.

I will say one thing that the author uses the word 'midget' quite a lot to make fun of a character who is petite/small, I'm surprised this hasnt been changed or addressed? Since this was released previously in 2020 and the word is considered a derogatory slur 🤔

1 star, because nothing says sexy like a man actively rooting against you getting your dream job because “haha baby you’re too hot to blow up aha”.

This book was about NASA scientist Jackie who is SUCH a nerd she can’t POSSIBLY have FRIENDS??? But in an attempt to improve her social life she befriends Rose (who sucks so much oh my god), who’s brother is a big tall cowboy man named Flynn. Then romance and shenanigans ensue.

If you couldn’t tell by my synopsis absolutely dripping with sarcasm, I hated this book, but rage read it just to write this review. I didn’t mind our heroine, but as much as I always think I’m going to love nerdy heroines… they always end disappointing me. They’re always written about as if being smart or nerdy immediately means you never get male attention or that people immediately don’t find you attractive, and while I think this book was making an attempt to combat this narrative, it super missed the mark for me.

But our hero - whoo boy what an unlikeable man. Emotionally immature? Yup. Supposed to be a player but comes off kind of creepy? Uh-huh. Hung up on his past? Oh you bet. Forced his sister into therapy but went “nah I’m good”? Ding ding ding.

When Flynn and Jackie meet almost all of his inner monologue is “women dont like shop? Woman smart? Work at NASA!?” And I could not stand it. Women are multidimensional and there for more than just you yanking ur bean my guy. The way this story was written made it feel like it was a revelation that women could have multiple interests and passions. Instead we got “yeah, you’re a nerd, but you’re a HOT nerd so ur still sexy”. Not really the step up I wanted.

Overall I really wanted to love this one, but I HATED the story telling, the drama that was based on pretty much nothing, and characters with approximately zero substance. If you have better contemporary romance recs that don’t have D-bag hero’s hit me up.

I wish I could give this book ALL of the stars! I absolutely LOVED it! Probably one of my favorite reads ever!

The story line was so refreshing, different from what you normally see, and had me invested in the characters on page one!

Jackie was a hoot! The nerdy genius who works for NASA, unaware of her beauty and socially awkward. Operation Social Life gets underway, where she meets a drunken Rose and then her broody, hot, cowboy/mechanic brother, Flynn.

Jackie's downstairs comes alive and Flynn gets swept up in the gorgeous genius girl. Their romance was sweet, angsty, hot, and not without challenges, but I LOVED it all! There was depth, hurt, emotions, and plenty of steamy moments to make this the perfect romance!

And there was so much space jargon in the story that I found incredibly interesting, and didn't take away from the story at all.

I cannot say enough great things about this book! PLEASE read and fall in love with the hot astronaut and her mechanic man!

How bloody refreshing this book is, I absolutely loved reading it.

I mean it has alot of my favourite things, converse, science, intelligent female lead and cowboys..... well I made the cowboy bit up but I'm sure if I met one they would be cool.

I loved the dynamic between the friends, loved the main characters and bloody hell even mid century modern got a mention ❤

The whole NASA info was interesting and to me seemed well researched; The lack of bitchyness , extreme vanity the whole "romance " stereotypes were amazing, I just totally was in this book 100%.

There were a few lines that made me laugh, genius. Flynn's and Jackie's relationship was so awesome, and I am so glad it didn't end in such a predictable sugar sweet way.

This author is now on my most favourite list, write.more books stat please xx

Space Junk: Houston, We Have a Hottie is the best contemporary romance I’ve read in a long time. Jackie Darling Lee is a NASA nerd. She’s socially-challenged, and it’s only when her friend, astronaut Julie Starr blackmails her, that she launches Operation Social Life in an attempt to make new friends, particularly male friends. And once she meets Flynn West, all systems are go.

Hudson’s characters are three-dimensional and incredibly likeable, even the secondary ones. She’s able to balance steamy sexy times with humorous moments that had me laughing out loud. Any book that makes me smile as I’m reading it, and eager for the next one in the series when I finish it, is a winner. And Space Junk is a definite winner.

Ok, so first off Dr. Jackie Lee Darling works at NASA, freaking NASA as engineer. *inserts immediate girl crush*
Like I loved everything about her character, she was so refreshing!
Even though he had moments where I wanted to smack him, Flynn was one of the only people who truly saw her and that was everything.
One of all time favorite things about this story was the career associated word play Flynn and Jackie used to describe each other physically and their feelings. Hot, entertaining, and a swoony perfection for an ending, Space Junk is my first book by Sara L. Hudson, but she has found herself a new fan in me.
