Basic plot: All the different factions of the supernatural realms barrel towards battle and Raegan and company have to find a way to resolve all of the conflicts.
A lot happened here, and it was a good ending to the whole series. There were a lot of loose ends to tie up, and Breene did a good job doing just that. There was action, there was emotion, it was satisfying.
This is the last book in the series, and I liked it. Just about every story arc is complete. We get to see full HEAs for Penny & Emery and Reagan & Darius, but I'm very sad that we didn't get any extra HEA for Charity & Devon (they were my favorite of the three couples). I appreciated the way Penny and Reagan evolved through the series and the final battle was pretty cool.
When the graphic audio of this book was released, I squealed like Reagan chasing shifters :P
The voice actors for Reagan and Darius were excellent, giving the characters new life and making you laugh in the most inappropriate moments (including the battle scenes, just ignore the sounds of blood splatters as the elves met their doom). The sounds of "Your Heinous" will be ringing in my ears for a while. Lucifer casually growing his hair back after Penny blasted him will hellfire was a moment I didn't realise I needed to hear in audio (until I burst out laughing- funny how the graphic audio versions give you different takes on simple moments you don't give full attention to in the original story).
Archeon has an interesting sense of humour for a dragon, sometimes I wonder what kind of mischief he would get up to when he isn't toasting things/ having an ego trip about being the top of the food chain.
Loved seeing Smoky, No Good Mikey and Mince again (though it was brief)- does anyone else think they would be fun in the Underworld?
Thank you K. F. Breene for bringing us another fabulous story in this series :)
This series is such fun!! There's lots of action, romance, fantastic magic and humor. The main character, Reagan, is a kick in the pants!! She's irreverent, badass, funny and flawed, but good. Darius is ruthless and devoted; and just plain HOT. Penny has a fun arc and I enjoyed her and Emery's love story. There are SO many colorful characters that are super fun and several imaginative adventures. I really enjoyed the folks in Regan's neighborhood, Callie & Dizzy, Lucifer, and even Tits McGee! I feel like the love story of Charity and Devon wasn't done nearly as well as the two primary couples, but it doesn't detract from the series; in fact, I did enjoy getting inside the fierce and loyal Shifter tribe for a while. I loved this series and will likely re-listen to it again in the future!!
This was an AMAZING series on graphic audio. All the character, both main and side, were a beautiful collection together. Their side stories and how they fit in with the MMC was awesome. Raegan’s character was both badass and had so much heart. I highly recommend this on graphic audio, it brings the books to life in the most amazing ways. I’m so freaking sad it’s over. This last one made be cry and I was surprised with the ending. Happily so. Read/listen to this, you won’t be disappointed!!!
I really enjoyed this final novel and think it was a fitting end to this series. I really liked where Reagan, Darius, and Lucifer ended up. I can't say that I enjoyed all the books in this novel, but I loved all the ones with Reagan.
This series is always good for laughs, action, and spice! I enjoyed this installment of the series. And as always, GraphicAudio knocked it out of the park with the dramatized adaptation.
