Lays out design principles for various shallow and deep foundations in a clear, straightforward manner with interesting case studies of real-life foundation engineering failures, challenges and solutions, practice problems (only partial solutions are provided), and fascinating quotes at the start of each chapter. 4/5 because for some reason my copy has 9s and 0s instead of brackets in the equations.

It is very helpful to me as a Final Year Student pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. After having it in the office for a while I noticed that I was borrowing it more often than not so I decided to buy it.
