The stunning final book in the *now complete* Savage Wilds series!

Scorn their gods. Save the world.

Val is alone. After taking the throne of Those Below, her alliance—and any relationship she might have had with Rune, High King of the Wilds—was shattered. Now, as enemies close in on all sides and her magic slowly kills her, Val isn’t sure how long she can survive.

But with an awakening god threatening to rip apart their worlds, Rune at last proposes one final alliance between them to protect all they hold dear.

As Val becomes ensnared in more bloody conflicts, and more involved with Rune than she ever dreamed possible, it becomes clear that winning may require the ultimate sacrifice.

And Val will have to choose, once and for all, where her heart and soul truly lie.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book from the author. I am volunteering to leave this review. This book was the final book in a series that I wish hadn't ended yet. The final book was a awesome ending to a awesome series. I love how Sean ended it with plenty of action and suspense to end a awesome series.

This was such an epic conclusion to the Savage Wilds series. I will admit I am still wiping away tears. I mean if it didn't make you cry, was it even worth reading?!! And let me tell you, I definitely ugly cried. This book was such a fast-paced keep you on the edge of your seat with all the twists and turns type of book. I love how this concluded. I only wanted to scream at Val a few times. I was really starting to question if she would make it or not and if she would make it back to Rune. Cue the ugly crying. You'll have to read it to find out what happens. I love how these characters grew and changed. They learned from one another and came face to face with some hard truths. Rune is about the snarkiest hottest bad boy book boyfriend out there. Seriously, we love the ones that drive us crazy and Rune does just that. He is now more cinnamon roll than when we started this journey but I love that. I won't give spoilers but this series is one of my favorites and it's going to live in my brain rent free for a while.

I was in equal parts devastated and thrilled to enter the Wilds one last time in Sean Fletcher's final installment of the Savage Wilds series. I was thrilled, naturally, because this series is phenomenal, and any time I have spent within the world this author created has been well spent; unfortunately, reading the final installment of a trilogy also means completing a series (and when it's this engaging, enduring the inevitable book slump that comes with it).

In Savage Wild Gods, we enter the Wilds once again to see what has become of Val, as the newly crowned Empress of Glass, and Rune, our High King of the Wilds. Events at the conclusion of Savage Wild Souls left unresolved tensions between factions and between our dynamic leading characters, and Savage Wild Gods reenters that climate with little preamble. All at once, we are thrust into Val's perspective as she adjusts to her new role, still shellshocked from the previous turn of events and feeling very much alone as Rune has refused to communicate with her. She must navigate tensions within her new kingdom as well as the threats between the factions that occupy the Wilds and the Undersea, all the while navigating her own feelings about Rune and herself.

The result is a gripping page-turner that was impossible for me to put down; I completed this read in less than 24 hours. As always, Fletcher's descriptions of the world that he created are illustrative enough that they felt real, and his depiction of the chess game that is the politics within the story had me on the edge of my seat.

I won't give spoilers in this review, but I was particularly fond of the turn of events that came into fruition beginning in Chapter 17, and the climactic ending of this novel was incredible. I once again applaud this author for his realistic characters, his vivid worldbuilding, and his sense of pacing that had me glued to the page from start to finish.

I read an advanced reader copy of this novel and have created this review from my personal opinions following my reading. I have continued to recommend this series within my reading circles and to all I come across who enjoy YA Fantasy with an edge.

Yeah so this pretty much sums up my feelings atm, I can’t believe the series is over. In the few short days I read this I got so attached that I feel like a part of me is now missing. I will miss Val, Rune, Xander and Marian. They got the HEA they deserved and I don’t feel like there are any loose ends, it still sucks that it’s over though.
This last book took me through so many feelings, happiness, anger, rage and sadness. I am not ashamed to admit I did cry at the end. This series will stay in my mind for a long time to come, and if you read it I think you will feel the same. As always here are some quotes. (I have 15 highlighted but you won’t get them all)

So Val took over from Empress Sotera who she killed, and she is now the Empress of Glass and the below, and Rune is not happy at all, as he feels she has stolen his power. However he is still the High King of the Wilds and the King of Thorns, and with Father Dumas and the worshipers of the Mother Tree threatening to release the God of Destruction, Gristlehaut they need to work together and form an alliance. The freed god is not the only threat looming on their horizon, King Bendeti, the King of the Undersea, is also aiding Dumas to free the God by flooding all of the below thus posing a great threat to her people. Apart from the many Lords of the wild who want to take over the throne from Rune. It is only together that they might stand strong enough to wield their magical powers however can they trust one another? This final book in the amazing trilogy about the savage wilds, is very dark at times, exciting and heart stopping, full of backstabbing and betrayal so that one never knows who to trust, however we finally get the ending we all waited for. Well done Sean Fletcher for this very intriguing trilogy.

I can’t think of a better way to end this series and honestly… I just feel so pleased and content with how it ended! Of all the series I’ve read, I think this is my favourite final book. Sean concludes the story so well and it really doesn’t lack anything! I don’t give 5 stars easily, by any means. Im giving this one 5 because I really cannot think of anything to make the book better.

The character development was paced so well, the conflict and misunderstandings, the rivalries etc. were all just right. I never felt like there was something missing, or had moved too fast etc like I’ve seen in some books that have romantic relationships as a part of the story.

What I found particularly unique about this series is that it doesn’t entirely stick to just one genre. There’s aspects of dystopian lit in it, certainly fantasy, and a few chapters near the end of this book reminded me a lot of George MacDonald’s way of doing fairytales.

Truly, a wonderful ending to a great series. I really hope this starts getting more widely read because it’s just that great.

Thanks to BookSirens for giving me this free copy in exchange for a review.

Savage Wild Gods is the third book in The Savage Wild series by Sean Fletcher.
I loved this book, the building relationship between Val, Rune and the other wildlings. The family she was part of in the human world with Peyton and Joshua. In the blink of an eye everything changes, Rune is angry with Val for taking the throne of Those Below from him. Her human family is being used as pawns and is out of her reach. Val’s allies are gone, and she is surrounded by Those Below and some of them want her dead. The King of the Undersea and some of the Lords want to be in control so they are plotting Val and Rune’s death. To make matters worse Father Dunas and the worshippers of the Mother Tree are trying to destroy everything by releasing the God of Destruction. Danger around every corner and very few people Val can depend on to have her back. Val needs to rebuild the alliance with Rune the High King of the Wilds. This is an amazing story with lots of twists and turns, danger, loss, sacrifice, and loyalty. I can’t wait to reread this whole series again.

How do you make the choice to save the world and everybody in it when all the choices seem to lead to failure? When each of them is destined to rip your heart out, and the only one with any chance of success is choosing between the one you love most and everybody else?

Becoming the Empress of Glass to save Rune from himself leaves Val raw and hurting, and so very alone, struggling to prove that she is more than Sotera and everybody before her ever was. She risks herself every day for the chance to prove that she is more human than rock, that she would go to incredible lengths for those in her care.
And in this process, she discovers that she is not alone, either in her quest or in her heart - but ultimately it is her goodness which saves the world.

Excellent plot building, great story-telling and a lot of heart - be it savage or tame - makes this an epic ending to a wonderful story, and Sean Flecher one of my favorite authors.

An absolutely epic conclusion to the Savage Wilds trilogy.
The action is high paced, the dangeres are absolutely everywhere and the characters have to grow in order to survive.
Val is struggling hard as the new Empress of Glass. Her subjects are more likely to st4b her in the back than they are to help her.
Ever so slowly, she convince the people around her (both those below and the wildlings), that she means change. And that her savage ways are out of necessity and not because she enjoyes it.
Rune, ever the WILD ruler, has interesting new ideas - but where will it all lead? And will they learn to trust and confide in each other? Or will they continue their solo runs?

The twist at the end was epick. I simply loved this series from first page to the last.
This is a recomendable must-read for lovers of epic fantasy with romantic undertones.
The only real complaint I have about this series? They aren't long enough - I never want books this good to end.

Sean Fletcher has provided a thrilling and entertaining finale to his "Savage Wilds" series. Val and Rune face seeming insurmountable odds as they battle numerous enemies to prevent the awakening of Grislehaut, the God of Destruction. Despite some advances, ultimate victory continues to elude them, until Val uncovers a secret about herself that changes everything. It necessitates a choice that will cost more than she can bear.
In the Savage Wilds series, the characters continue to grow and fight for a better life for themselves and their people in a manner that is believable and draws a reader along. Right up to the fantastic climax of this incredible tale. A great story. Highly recommend for all fans of dystopian fantasy.

I was a bit torn when I finished the book. While reading it, it left me feeling like shaking Val to open her eyes and stop being so darn insecure about her own as well as Rune‘s feelings. Glad she finally stopped standing in her own way. As before, it’s a fast paced story with very likable grey characters and interesting world building.

Though I admit- the last few chapters left me wondering with too many questions -not only on how the outside changes happened so fast while Val was “recuperating“. Mother Mal, her son, Olette, … so many open ends I would have liked cleared up with much more detail. However, it did end in a fitting way. For anyone into magic, strange creatures and strong main characters, it’s a great read!

The first thought that comes to mind about this stunning conclusion to The Savage Wilds saga is WOW! Any book that requires me to set it aside until I can handle the tears is five star read. And WILD SAVAGE GODS had me so invested in the characters, both primary and secondary, that I was in tears several times. I felt every loss and every victory. My husband must have thought I was insane with the random cheering and sniffles. And now, I am sad that the series is complete.

I very highly recommend WILD SAVAGE GODS to any readers who enjoy a dark urban fantasy with random sex scenes. While you can read it as a stand alone, I highly advise starting from the beginning to really get to know the characters. Be warned that there is a lot of violence but then, they are at war.

Wow. I honestly thought this series as one on the top I’ve read all year - and I’ve read a lot!

These books were so different from any of the other fantasy books I’ve read thus far and it was such a beautifully written world with complex, emotional, raw characters. I was attached to all of them and Rune and Val were just achingly perfect. The slow burn romance whilst maintaining a genuinely interesting and well thought out plot isn’t done so well with some of the books I’ve read but this has the exact amount of romance to action which made reading these books easy and pleasurable the whole way through.

This is also the first time I’ve read a romance written by a man and the fact it’s from Val’s point of view makes it even more impressive. Will definitely be checking out some more of this authors books!

I finished this book yesterday but have been waiting for the words to accurately describe how much I loved this trilogy.

The world described in this is so beautifully done and even though I don't fully picture things in my head as I'm reading, I can clearly see the ruined structures overgrown by the Wilds. Did anyone else watch The Shannara Chronicles? This is the best way I can think of to describe the scenery that I picture.

I love Val and Rune's growth from their start in book 1, and so many of the side characters really grew on me too. I'm always disappointed when I finish one of Sean's series because I have to say goodbye to such fantastically written characters, so I hope that someday we get a chance to return to the Wilds to see what everyone is up to.

Firstly, thank you to BookSirens for sending me this advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I devoured the first two books in this series and could not wait to start this one.

What more can I say that it did not disappoint? All three books were equally as addictive which is unusual in trilogies, but there wasn’t a single one I’d rate lower than the others.

Consistently brilliant reads, absolutely loved this series. I am devastated it is over but will certainly be looking out for more by this author.

Would highly recommend to anyone who likes enemies-to-lovers, high fantasy worlds and creatures, fae/paranormal romances, comradery and found family.

Received as an ARC, I am leaving my honest review. I wish I could give this series a million stars, because it is truly incredible. Beautifully written, the journey of Rune and Val continues. Action packed from the first chapter, you will be gripped by the turmoil between the High King of the Wilds Rune, and the newly crowned Empress of Glass , Val. Can they put their anger aside to join in saving their realm from an awakening God? You betcha. The twists and turns are many, the suspense is high, and the unexpected answers are revealed, when it is time! Hold onto your heart though as the plot goes wild when feelings arise once again. Only then, can Val and Rune save their future and the world. The ending is an epic conclusion that will leave you breathless!

What a fantastic ending.

I was offered an arc of book 1 from the NERD fam, which Immediatly led me to download book 2 from KU, I was not disappointed

Fantasy is super hard to get into but Sean made this series captivating. I quickly finished book 2 and asked if he was accepting arc readers for this book and here we are.

This is the ending of Val and Runes story and it’s a good one, let’s just say I did not see that coming and it just makes SO much sense

The detail Sean has put into all three books do not go unnoticed. Fantastic job

If you’re here it’s because you read book 1 and 2 as these are no standalones, you’re in for a treat ! Grab book 3 and see for yourself

This final book is incredible! From the get go I found myself plummeting back into this amazing world as we follow Val and Rune to the end of this incredible journey. It’s been one hell of a ride that has pulled us in so many directions, it’s been exciting and thrilling and totally captivating and it’s been emotional and we have felt the fear, the love, the anger, the loss and the betrayals. Twists and turns, danger , drama, the author once again weaves their magic and pulls everything together to give us an epic ending worthy of this incredible series and although I am sad to say goodbye to these extraordinary characters, it was so worth the adventure!

Having read Fletcher’s work before I knew I was in for a treat with this trilogy and he did not disappoint. From the idea of the Wilds, to Those Below and everything in between, this was an explosive trilogy from start to finish. I adored Val, Rune and many of the others and this thrilling and epic conclusion just made me love them even more. Watching the threads of plot from book one start to be pulled together by this final one just had me in awe of Fletcher’s skills. He is an author who knows how to tell a good story and this was an excellent trilogy with unique characters, plot, and everything else. Very much recommended!

Savage Wild Gods -a review by Rosemary Kenny.

In Savage Wild Gods, the final book of the Savage Wilds trilogy by Sean Fletcher, half-human Empress Val of Those Below and Rune, High King of the Wilds, have overcome their differences and formed a powerful alliance against all outside and homegrown enemies, while trying to save all the kingdoms from the ultimate betrayal...the release of one eponymous God and an army of others.

This author did not disappoint!! And this book will most likely live rent free in my head and dreams for some time to come. The conclusion to this series was excellent, the characters on point And, can I just say I would love more in the world?

Thanks for the opportunity to read this book

Incredible finale to the trilogy!

I had so many questions leaving book 2 and they were all answered. A lot of which were in ways that caught me off guard. As an avid fantasy reader, I don’t experience that too often and love when I do.

I loved how the ending brought everything full circle. Sean Fletcher, if you’re listening, I’d love to venture back in to the wilds if you’ll lead us! It sounds like there’s still plenty of stories to be explored.

The world is in chaos. Old enemies are joined by new threats that cannot be ignored. The world may soon be destroyed and time is running out. This book has a lot of politics, relationships and alliances in addition to adventure. Everything gets complicated.
One star down because I miss the mononoke vibe, the quiet intimate places in the story that you won't forget even after years of the book sitting on the shelf of library.

Savage Wild Gods was an incredible and somewhat heartbreaking ending to a beautiful trilogy! There is so much unpacked in this last book but it was done thoughtfully and I couldn’t be more pleased. Val and Runes character development was phenomenal. This series is filled with a morally grey MMC, a strong, lovable and relatable FMC, and a posse of other characters you will grow to love as well.

Thank you BookSirens and Sean Fletcher for giving me the opportunity to indulge in this magical world & the free ARC of Savage Wild Gods!

This whole series was unexpected but wonderful. This last book kept me on tenderhooks the whole way. Val and Rune wanted so much and I felt and hoped right along with them. I was stunned when I realized where this was leading and it was agonizing to feel along with Val. The ending was so tender and hopeful. You could feel the joy and beauty growing right along with her.

An amazing series that kept me reading every spare moment. This final installment does not disappoint. The build up is phenomenal with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Will our two heroes finally find peace and harmony and gain control of their worlds? Or will fate choose a different path? A climatic end to a very intense series. I highly recommend this series

I really wanted to love this. The series started so strong! What happened with the rising waters that started and did not end with the death of the sea king? Is the Below salavagable? All we get is a head nod from the sea queen? The FMC didn't trust him up until the end to tell him what she thought.....I feel like they were just fighting amongst themselves until the end. I'm just so conflicted.

I enjoyed this story. I had not read book 1 or 2 when getting the ARC for book 3 but enjoyed reading all 3 books.

The world building and plot were fantastic!

The choice to save the world and everyone in it when everything seems to be falling apart. To have to choice between the one you love and everyone else… heart breaking.

The end is here and it was a wild trip that kept me reading to the end to watch it all play out. Lots of intrigue, drama, danger, and so much more. I had to see how it would end and what Val must face and overcome. So much happens and made me laugh and groan and wonder how Val and everyone else would survive to the end. but made for a great entertaining read.

Savage Wild Gods by Sean Fletcher is a breathtaking conclusion to the Savage Wilds trilogy and has become my favorite of the series. Fletcher's writing has captivated me from start to finish, making me smile until my cheeks ached and cry until my eyes were swollen. The book delivers a perfect blend of adventure, twists, and excitement, wrapping up the story beautifully. The ending ties everything together in a way that left me thoroughly satisfied with the journey.
