Don’t play games with a vampire unless you’re prepared to lose.

Playing pranks on his three-hundred-year-old vampire sire wasn’t Charley’s brightest idea. Now Dalziel has set him a task.
Charley is stuck with a night’s worth of brain-twisting clues and his own company until he solves them all. Not even Luc can help!
Charley wants to win, but can he ever really lose? His mate is waiting for him regardless, ready to rock his world.

An Evergreen Council novella, pitting a preoccupied father against his chaotic son, with smiles, curses, and insights into both men’s lives when the biggest adventure is living well.

While not in the blurb, the author thankfully included CW at the front of the book. I'm stopping and marking DNF so I won't go back later and try to read since I've loved this series.

Charley and his mouth or in this case words!

I love this book
And the only reason it's only a 4.5 not a full 5 stars is because I wish it were just a bit longer.
I know it's only a novella but I love the characters so much I just want more of them.
That being said its fun and funny to see "daddy dearest" senior vampire of the UK showing his playful childlike side.
Loved it.
Can't wait for more

WOW!

This was my first adventure into this author, and I will definitely revisit! I don’t know any of these characters, but now I want to! The writing is well done and brought me into the story so that I was there with the MC’s. Usually not into paranormal, but my curiosity now has to be satisfied. Well done!

In Teas’d, we meet again with Charley and the crew from Fang’d. Charley is learning to control his newfound skills, still madly in love with Luc, and ready to take the next step in adulthood: adopt a pet. He appeals to his father, Senior Vampire Dalziel Millar, head of the Evergreen Council and in charge of the council headquarters where they live, for permission to adopt a kitten.

Dalziel isn’t quite convinced a tiny, live, ball of fur is a wise idea for the household, but it sparks an idea nonetheless. Paternal fondness motivates him to lay out a treasure hunt across the estate, and he sends Charley on a mission: solve the riddles — with no help from others — and earn a prize. After a night criss-crossing the house and grounds, a triumphant Charley returns to the castle, where Dalziel and Luc are waiting to reward Charley’s cleverness.

In addition to the main story, the reader learns a bit more about Dalziel and Pavel’s relationship. There are also some other relationship foreshadowings among other characters - I’m looking forward to further Evergreen Council books and the romantic in me hopes to see some of them turn to HEAs!

As always, Vin George brings creativity and impeccable editing together to deliver a clever story with five-pepper heat, multi-dimensional characters, and all the emotions. I also love that this doesn’t FEEL like a short story. The pacing is not rushed, nor does the plot feel like it’s been pared down to fit in a shorter length format. Teas’d is a lovely visit with some old friends.

what a joyful, and emotional journey full of characters we love

Rating: 5🌈

If you’re a fan of author Vin George’s Evergreen Council series, then this novella is the thing for you. Teas’d is a warm-hearted glimpse into the daily lives of Charley, the half vampire/half fae adorable being from Fang’d (Evergreen Council Book 1) and his vampire father, Dalziel. Naturally, this sees Luc, Charlie ‘s bond-mate werewolf, as an important part of his life and household as well.

This novella is a perfect illustration of how to bring a sense of loving family and deep understanding of each other’s differences to life in a meaningful but short narrative. Especially when its characters and universe are all from prior books.

The reader doesn’t have to have read those stories in order to understand these characters, their unique personalities, their histories, and the warmth and loving synergy between them all. George’s dialogue and fantastic storytelling has done an excellent job, laid all the groundwork, and now let’s the reader enjoy and become involved in the story itself.

And what a joyful, and emotional journey it becomes. A father/son moment, a learning experience full of humor and poignancy, quixotic and sweet.

This is a group of characters and a universe I can’t get enough of . It’s also one I highly recommend.

Check them all out today.

I loved this novella... it was short, but very sweet. I loved that we were able to "drop in" on some of my favourite characters from books one and two. Told from the points of view of Charley and his dad, Dalziel, I think this novella was just perfect. Teas'd provided the perfect look into how the relationship is developing between father and son, as well giving some hints about their personal romantic relationships with their significant others. While I wished it had been longer simply because I can't seem to get enough, it was the perfect length for what it was... a glimpse into their daily lives. I'm looking forward to the next full-length book in the series, and I'm kind of hoping it will focus on Dalziel, but even if it doesn't, I'm sure I'll love it! The author has created an amazing world filled with interesting and oftentimes lovable characters.

Teas’d - Meow🐾🐈

Teas’d - Meow🐾🐈

‘The bond hums with his pleasure, filling me up with what feels like golden light inside. It’s been weird adjusting to someone else’s presence in my…my consciousness, I suppose you’d say, but now I’m used to it, I’d feel bereft without knowing I can always sense Luc with me.’

Who wouldn’t love Vin George’s Charley and Luc? And now Charley is itching for them to be kitten parents! Papa and Daddy certainly have a lovely ring, don’t they?

This adorable little bit of sweetness is just what you need to make you smile, as Luc finds a very special way to tease his lover!

A preciously steamy quick read! purrrrrrrrrr

Teas'd was a tasty appetizer while we await the next Evergreen Council book. I loved spending more time with Dalziel, Charley, and Luc in this charming tale. Will a future real Blake join their lives? Only time will tell!
