Loved Jace and Poppy! He’s the young hot fireman and she’s the wild and crazy. The banter is so good. Jace is able to break down her walls and how these two opposites get to finding love within each other is great.

Another amazing read by the Queen of small town romance!
I absolutely loved Jace & Poppy’s story! The flow of the story pulled me in from the get go && the characters are written perfectly!

Super fun, steamy, quick read with the fun and flirty Poppy who is always happy and has a song in her head and the serious Sully/Jace/Probie who does everything according to plan. How long can he fight his attraction to this amazing girl who is the opposite of everything he is? Love the reverse age gap.

Oh my, Carolina Jax, I knew Jace’s story would be good but I didn’t know it would be balling my eyes out in the end good! Merry With a Probie hit all the marks of a great short romantic novella with a feisty and fun loving MFC, lots of fun banter and spice in the bedroom! Recommend for a short, spicy holiday themed, Love Beach romance featuring a hot firefighter with a HEA!

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Jace and Poppy met when she comes to Love Beach to be with her cousin, Marigold Summer with a Fireman. Poppy is loud while Jace likes to keep quiet and in the background. Poppy likes to head to the fire station to hand out treats from her cousin's bakery then she'll flirt with the guys especially Jace. Poppy likes to help out at the bakery with her cousin. Poppy is going to move to Love Beach to be with her cousin, it's a change of scenery. Jace has another shift at the fire house, Maddox Summer with a Fireman is training him. When Poppy heads to the bar she walks in and finds Jace sitting alone so she sits with him. Jace and Poppy talk while they order food. A few days go by and Jace is back at the fire house, Poppy comes with treats for all of them. When the guys starts harassing Jace because Poopy flirts with him he takes it. Poppy and Marigold plan a girls night while Maddox is working. Poppy confesses something to Marigold about why she had to leave their hometown. Marigold suggests that her and Maddox double date with Jace and Poppy. When Jace is at the fire house he can't sleep so he goes to shine the trucks, soon he sees a figure walking towards him. Poppy comes and Jace asks her why she's out late. Poppy tells Jace she wanted to make sure he ate since Marigold told her he was at work. Jace starts to think he ruined the best thing that's happened to him. Poppy doesn't leave her house for three days thinking about what Jace said to her. When she finally heads to the bakery Marigold tells her she's been worried about her. When Poppy hears the bell jiggle on the door, she looks to see it's Vienna. Poppy is told she needs to come with Vienna right away and her cousin tells her to go. Poppy is taken to the beach where she sees a bon fire, and given a letter. Jace writes Poppy a letter that he's in love with her and he's sorry for what he said. Poppy tells Jace she wants him to tell her the words of the letter. So Jace explains to Poppy that he's young and wants to follow rules but with her he's different. Jace tells her he screw up really big and hope she can forgive him. Jace tells Poppy he loves her, Poppy tells Jace she love him too. Jace asks Poppy to come home with him, and she tells him she forgives him. Jace asks Poppy to help him put out the bon fire, and they grab buckets and head to the water. Then they head home.

"Her playful attitude compared to my "by the book" life felt like a breath of fresh air to my soul."
Poppy and Jace.....I LOVED them! With a nine year age gap I wasn't quite sure how it was going to go because in actuality they are both still on the younger side. Jace's maturity level though puts his at a much older age. He is not the average 21 year old at all and has a life plan that he takes seriously. Of course it must be altered when Poppy moves to town with that free spirit of hers.
The pull between these two can be felt as the reader. I couldn't wait for all their moments together on the page. Jace is such a gentleman whose mama raised him right until Poppy gets him behind closed doors....IYKYK! Poppy is just the woman Jace needs as a partner because she fully understands his commitment to his job. The planets definitely aligned for the two of them when she moved to Love Beach.
Carolina Jax builds a beautiful connection between these two characters immediately and fills the pages with sweet moments, a MMC that wants only to do right by Poppy and his job, a FMC that finds a place to plant her roots when she didn't even know that was what she really needed. They balance each other out with that fun loving side of hers and his no time for nonsense way of living.

Stop, I loved this cute wee novella from our favourite beach, Love Beach. Jace and Poppy we have met already, and these two have been circling each other, because there is that age gap thing (Poppy is older).
Jace is the old soul, level headed, cool calm and collected, and the probationary officer at the fire station. He is focussed on seeing out the first year to ditch the title of "Probie". He see's Poppy, but chooses to play it cool

Poppy is Marigold's cousin, and left to follow her after an incident involving Marigolds douchbag fiancé. She hums all the songs, is loud and engaging, and she sees Jace, and loves what she see's.
With some unsolicited advice from their family and friends, they go on a double date with Marigold and Maddox, and *cue undies up in flames, Jace brings his game, the Jace he keeps hidden from those he works with. But, does Poppy's reason for arriving in Love Beach to escape her past threaten to derail this relationship? Without a doubt, everything Carolina writes, and I read, I love, and this matches seamlessly with Alexandra Hale's books in the same series, with the character crossovers etc..... This is the perfect Xmas novella that will melt any scrooge and toast your marshmallows good and proper. LOVED THIS.

Jace Sullivan, this Fireman will make you Hot under the Collar I'm telling ya Ladies! He may be 21 but he is definitely all Man and not a Boy growing into a Man's body.
Poppy arrived into town tires blazing the day Maddox proposed to her Best Friend and Cousin Marigold and was loved by everyone straight away.
She is the complete opposite of everything Jace is but they say opposites attract and it definitely was the case for Jace and Poppy.
At the start he is kind of shy around her. Poppy has such a Big Personality that he finds it hard to even keep up with her and her outlandish ways in the beginning but our quiet Jace shocks Poppy with how he is behind closed doors and she loves every bit of it!
The Banter at the Firestation and at the Bakery is just brilliant and rolls on from Summer with a Fireman.
Trust me, you are going to really enjoy this read as I definitely did.

Opposites do attract as Jace and Poppy discover. Jace is a twenty one year old firefighter probie who is serious, rather strait laced and dedicated to his job. He isn’t interested in one night stands, hookups or flings. He likes to bide his time and plan things out. But Jace has another side, a dominant naughty side that he keeps under wrap, a side that craves Poppy. She is nine years older than Jace, a wild child with a sweet disposition and killer curves. Poppy can be loud, impulsive and doesn’t mind being the centre of attention. She has her eye on only one firefighter, Jace, but she has a secret that she believes will send him running in another direction. The sparks between soon ignite, but will the result be a burnout or an eternal flame?
There is quite a bit of teasing, flirting and heat in this book as well as a touch of angst. It makes for a rather delightful and entertaining read. I am happy to recommend this book.

Oh oh oh oh baby! Once more, this woman does not disappoint with her love interests and the crazy they bring on. And let me tell you something, I need a Poppy in my life to hang out with like now, stat…Carolina…get your butt here!
That being said, let’s talk Jace and Poppy. I mean, come on, have you come across a more cuter pair? Because I haven’t! And Carolina gives me a lot of book boyfriends, but there’s something about a gentleman that will dote on me outside the bedroom and then into a…lion while in the bedroom. Huh…I need to find me one of those too. And then, truly, there’s Poppy. A loud, wild, sweetheart of a leading lady that you want to be friends with. These two had me swooning.
Now, with all that said, in the epic trilogy that Carolina, and Alexandra, bring us, I can’t wait for the next one. Hmm…I know she’s going to ask me to pick a fave and I just can’t. Because…they are all so awesome. So, what are you waiting for? Read!

Carolina Jax is an amazing author, I absolutely her writing style and when her characters appear in other books. Jace "Sully" Sullivan and Poppy don't have the typical whirlwind romance that you read about.
Poppy is the older of the two, she is Marigolds' cousin who came to town to help rebuild Cakeology, but she ended up staying and is now turning heads every time she enters the fire stations. Well the heads of all the men except for the one she really wants the attention of. Sully is the newest of the fire fighters, he isn't looking for just fling, he is looking for a more serious relationship , not to jump into bed with just anyone.
I absolutely love this romance between these two characters, they are fun, and the relatable. Everyone needs to read this and all the stories in this series.

It’s Love Beach! So it’s awesome and oh my goodness ! Fiery and a dream read!
Jace ‘Sully’ Sullivan is all man . Yeah he’s young and sweet but he sure knows how to step into the heat! 🥵 This fireman’s packing and he’s out to prove he’s no probie . He’s a special guy who’ll make her panties sigh …Oh my 💋 Poppy is vociferous and carnivorous for his meat! She’s anything but shy but she compliments this guy. She’s unsure if she likes him and double dates but soon finds out she wants to be more than mates . ..She just wants to loved and that’s one thing he can be sure of , it’s Poppy who he loves. And what’s more? He ain’t a probie no more ! Cos with his Poppy he found his roar! Awesome !!!! OMG! This is such a fantastic holiday read to get you in the mood for Christmas. Jace is the probie at the local fire department in Love Beach, he always lives his life on the straight and narrow. Until he meets his match, Poppy comes into town has the wild loud mouth over the top cousin of Marigold. ( Find Marigold’s story in Summer with a Fireman). The two main characters of this story has the back and forth banter at the fire department when she drops off the sweet treats, but behind close doors she finally sees a different side to Jace that makes her want to tell him about her past. Their spicy moments will make you melt in all the right places. Im so excited for Chiefs story next! The epilogue was an amazin preview for the next book in the spring time.

We get to revisit Love Beach and see what happens with Poppy, now that she's in town. She is a loyal and fun individual. I enjoyed her character, but also felt her pain and her need to run away. Sully is a bit of a stick in the mud. He is a rule follower and overreacts when he sees others not following the rules.
These two had instant chemistry, but Sully was a bit hesitant to jump on his feelings, but Poppy has a way of making anyone feel comfortable and wanting to have a good time. I enjoyed seeing the two interact with each other and watching their relationship develop.

Poppy is a loud and boisterous spirit. She's a little older (9 years) and very close to being a distraction.
Poppy and Jace together are so much fun! She really brings life to him while also respecting his dedication to his job. Will a mistake in her past wreck it all? This is a novella, so you don't have to wait too long to find out.

Queen of Small town Romance for a reason!
Merry With A Probie follows Jace and Pobby. This is reverse age-gap which is definitely something you don’t see as often but this storyline was *chef’s kiss*. I love Poppy and her whole personality. She knows what she wants and is not afraid to show it. Jace is our sweet and shy firefighter newbie. He has his sights on Poppy for quite awhile but wasn’t sure if the feelings were mutual. These two are total opposites but sometimes that’s what each other needs to balance it out. BUT when a secret from the past comes to light, will they be able to see past it?

I couldn’t wait for Jace and Poppy’s story after ready Maddox and Marigold’s. I loved everything about these 2! Reverse age gap, she’s 30 and he’s 21, she’s daddy and feisty while he’s quiet and reserved and raised with manners. You could feel the tension between these two from the time she moved to Love Beach!! I loved how Maddox helped Jace realize things at the firehouse and how Marigold and Logan encouraged Poppy to go after what she wanted. The dates were perfect, that first kiss was hot and I need so much more of these two. But what happens when Jace finds out Poppy’s secret?! A must read if you like small town romances with spice. Can’t wait to read what Carolina has for us next!

So this is a super fun, steamy, quick read with all the cute fun and flirty moments. This novella had me hooked from page one. So we meet Poppy who is always happy and has a song in her head and then theirs the serious Probie who does everything according to plan. He never breaks away from a plan no matter what. But once he meets Poppy, how long can he fight his attraction to this wonderful girl who is the opposite of everything he is? I loved this age gap romance I am hooked and want more. Please add this to your TBR you won’t be disappointed.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again I love and eat up any story that comes from Love Beach!! The small town that makes you fall in love with the place to making you find your happy ever after in all the best ways! Jace was a favorite from back in Madox and Marigolds story and I love seeing him find his own love story with the ever fun loving Poppy! They’re so adorable together and their love is so pure it’s so comforting to read about. Another absolutely amazing book from the fantastic Carolina Jax!

I enjoyed this charming reverse age gap/opposites attract romance. Poppy has a big public personality but underneath she is just a girl looking for acceptance and love. Jace has the kind of personality that is “by the book" but he finds himself falling for the “breath of fresh air to my soul” he finds with Poppy. Can a secret that Poppy has ruin their future? Loved the humor, passion, friendship, firehouse fun, and the bit of angst as Poppy and Jace work toward their HEA. Great additions to this series.

Merry with a Probie is fun! It’s easy to read and makes me happy. It’s like a Hallmark Christmas movie but with way better closed door scenes.
Jace “sully” has the best manners and then behind closed doors (fans self) he’s quite delicious. He’s dominate, controlled, level headed and respectful. He’s exactly what you’d bring home to meet the parents.
Poppy is wild, carefree and so much fun. She seems like a girls girl and I love her for that. They make for a sweet couple.

If you like quick reads and small town romance your gonna love this quick paced small town romance.
It's got it all, laughs the banter and a little spice which is the cherry on the top. Jace is the probie the quite reserved type an old soul. Poppy the wild card, fiesty protective passionate soul who needs a new start, put together they are perfect for each other. I loved how their story unfolds and comes together. An easy read that will have you gripped from start to finish. Another exceptional read from one of my favourite authors.
