With the kids out of school for the summer, Detective Jude Byrne takes everyone on vacation to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon and his grandfather, Running Eagle. The trip will be a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy some fun in the sun without a cold case to work or ghosts to hunt. Little does Jude know he’s dead wrong on both counts.

While driving through Navajo Nation on the way to a family reunion, psychic Copeland Forbes has a terrifying vision. Several women scream in agony while another begs for help. It turns out four Navajo women have disappeared without a trace over the last six months, the last being college student, Prairie Moon. With no clues to their whereabouts, the cases have all gone cold.

Wanting to help, Jude offers the services of the Salem Cold Case team to the Navajo tribal police force, which happens to be manned by three of Jude’s childhood bullies. Not sure who he can trust, Jude turns to Cope and Tennyson in hopes they can contact the missing women’s spirits for some clue to the killer’s identity.

A killer who’s closer than anyone realizes.

Can Jude and Cope rescue Prairie Moon from the monster’s clutches or will her grave be another stop on the ghost tour?

The Boys Are Back!

The boys are back! Jude finally makes peace with his past as he and his husband Cope decide to take their young son Wolf on a vacation to Navajo Nation to see his granpa Running Eagle, the man who gave Jude a home after his father was murdered, so Wolf could learn all about his heritage.

They decide to make it a family vacation with Ronan and Ten and Fitz and Jace and all the kids so this time Jude has his chosen family to watch his back as he faces the bullies that made his teenage years a misery.

As they cross the Navajo Nation border Cope gets a blinding vision so intense that he blacks out. He struggles to make sense of it as the vision seemed to be on fast forward but as Everly takes his hand she can she the three women screaming in pain and wanting vengeance.

This is a bittersweet story and so relevant with present events where young Native American women and girls are disappearing and being murdered. Cope and the rest of the family make up their minds to solve this case and find the fourth woman who has just disappeared. With the psychic abilities of Cope and Ten and the amazing abilities of young Everly whose powers are stronger than her father’s and Cope’s, they have an advantage, which they try to keep under wraps on the reservation.

As the kids get older they inject more humour into the stories, such as when they were discussing chores the kids had to do and 6 year old Aurora tells her father “being this fabulous is a chore”.

It’s like visiting old friends and I hope Pandora never gets tired of writing their stories.

Naturally the trip to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and visit Jude's grandfather turns into murder and kidnapping mystery. I was so glad that Jude was able to see the men who had bullied him while he was on the reservation and two of them apologized to what they had done. Trevor is so consumed with rage that I don't think that he will ever apologize. I loved how Wolf was being educated by his grandfather about his heritage but could have done without the visit to the rattlesnake museum but loved the trick played on Jude later. It was interesting about the visit to Sedona and how it was n energy vortex that let Cope and Ten and Everly rest from the ghosts and spirits seeking them out. Everly is an amazing little girl and her help was invaluable to find the murderer. I had wondered about one person and was not surprised that he was the guilty one but it was still sad. I always get goosebumps when they are able to help the victims go into the light. It was wonderful that the trip did help Jude heal from his trauma and find peace. Looking forward to more stories.

So good!

I feel like I've been waiting for this story since Jude burst into the Salemverse. We've seen him struggle over the Haunted Souls series with his experience in his formative years, and even a return to Navajo Nation when Wolf came into his and Cope's lives and subsequent 'family reunions' didn't quite lay the ghosts of the past to rest, figuratively speaking. This story, though, where Jude's found family take a trip to Arizona with him to introduce Wolf to their heritage and the gang end up literally laying some ghosts to rest...this is where he eventually finds the kind of peace he needed. Still love this band of brothers - can't wait to see what's lurking around the corner for the guys next!!

The whole gang are in Arizona visiting with Jude's grandfather when they come across ghosts of murdered women and they jump in to help solve the case.
Everly plays a big part in this with helping to solve the crime. Its cute but I am not sure how I feel about it. Ten seems to have been relegated.
I did think the author had forgotten about Kaye. No mention of her on the plane or when choosing the bedrooms but suddenly she pops up.
Also more importantly, no Greeley. not even a mention of him. Its like he has just disappeared into the ether.

Ghost Tour

I really enjoyed this one. Loved the dynamic between the friends and the family time. Loved that Jude was finally able to make peace with his past. He'd been working on it for a while. Finding the bodies of those missing Navajo women and crossing them over. Cope, Ten, and Everly are a force to be reckoned with. I also like that Everly thinks herself as part of the Navajo nation with her native name.

I never regret spending time with Ten, Ronan, Jude, Cope, and The Gang and this was no exception. There was more adventure than mystery, and it was nice to let Jude rediscover his roots through the eyes of the children. My *only* gripe was that I figured out the murderer from the get-go. I also detested Trevor (and with good reason) I hope he is able to let go of his stupid prejudices and become a more tolerant person.

amazing as always

I have been a fan since the first book!, it seems these books get better and better. I love seeing Everly’s evolution and wonder if Ezra is going to show his gifts. This was a great story of healing Jude from the past and showcasing how Native women are being treated! Thanks for this moving tale! Keep them coming Pandora

This was an excellent story. it was not just about the gang solving a mystery, but of Jude finding peace with his history. Everly's gifts are becoming stronger, and it is both frightening and for someone 6 years old to do the things she can do but she is also a bright star for those she helps. Can't wait for the next book. Recommend reading.

A few questions about Jude's past are answered and Everly is coming into her own with her psychic abilities, but I worry... grrr

Were there grammatical errors, you ask? Why? Why did you bother to ask? Of course there were... but, I really have given up on caring and just let myself enjoy the stories! 🥰

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Wow, Pandora has done it again. I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. Jude, Cope, Wolfie, Lisbet & the rest of their found family all go to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon and also Jude’s Grandfather, Running Eagle. Wolf also gets to learn more about his heritage and meet family that he hasn’t met in person. While heading through Navajo Nation, Cope gets a terrifying vision of women screaming and another asking for help. It turns out that over the last six months four Navajo women have disappeared without a trace. It’s all hands on deck to help find out what happened to these women and bring them home. The last being Prairie Moon and with no leads on their whereabouts their cases have gone cold. The Reservation Tribal Police don’t like help from outsiders but agree for Jude, Fitz and Ronan to assist with their investigation. I love the feeling of family that all of these books have. I’m looking forward to reading more books from Pandora’s Haunted Souls Series, as well as other books from the West Side Magick Universe in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
