After volume one, I thought it was fun but there didn’t seem a lot to it… I’ve completely flipped on that. It’s great. I’m invested. This volume was fun, and funny, and far more interesting than I was expecting. I’m sold.
The plot picks up! There're some weird things going on with the main character's new and improved(?) physical makeup. Lotta whiplash between humor, horror, tragedy... this is shaping up to be quite the ride. The art is very easy on the eyes. I want to take a moment to appreciate the cover for this volume, with the hand holding the sword hilt seeming to extend toward the viewer? That's a fun perspective trick.
