I wanted to like this book, I really did.

I just couldn't get past how juvenile the heroine acted. The whole premise of the misunderstanding between the H/h was kind of lame. He stood her up for a date when she was 15 and he was 16. She never heard from him again (he had to leave town due to reasons out of his control) Yes, he could have called her to let her know what happened, but again he was a 16 year old kid. Apparently the heroine could not get past this slight, and 10 years later when he is back in town, acts like a frigging bratty child and gets back at him by standing him up and playing his message on a "look at the loser that got stood up" radio segment.

We spend the majority of the book with him chasing her, and her acting like a bitch. Having sex with him and then throwing him out when he is still naked. Same thing, over and over and over again. Why this guy kept going back for more was beyond me? I hated Becca, she didn't deserve Jax AT ALL.

She continually harped on how awful a person he was with gems like this...

"something she had a hard time associating with the kid who’d left her high and dry. Maybe he really had changed."

Let me just repeat, he STOOD HER UP FOR A FIRST DATE at the age of 16. He didn't cheat on her, he didn't hit her, he didn't try to murder her! This poor dude just could not win.

"She’d long ago accepted that happily ever after wasn’t for her. It was easier than opening herself up to heartache and despair again"

Yes, DESPAIR because she got stood up at the age of 15. Melodramatic much. Of course, just as things start to work out Jax pulls a douche move, and we are right back where we started. Luckily the book ended soon after so we didn't have to suffer through page after page of poor Saint Becca and her devastation.

So wow. I really didn't like this book at all...here's some "Gandy Candy" to make up for my less than positive outlook.

Dangerously sexy and seductive. I adored this book from the first word to the last. I love it when a book ticks every box and this one delivered in spades:

*Sublime writing
*Consistent fast pace
*Well developed characters
*Witty, sexy banter
*Plenty of scorching hot love scenes
*A man in uniform
*A fiesty female lead
*Nicely progressed plot

This flowed really smoothly and there were no superfluous scenes and no tendency to skim.

Jax/Jackson was a perfect leading man. He could come across as a tad bit arrogant at times, but it was all in good humor, and he wasn't afraid to poke fun at himself. Becca was a wee bit mean at the start, but it was hysterical to read. I actually had my hand over my eyes during the radio bit in the fire station. I cringed with Jax. I loved that he knew what he wanted (her) and how he wasn't afraid to go for it, even though she was quite callous and she kept throwing him out. His confidence was very endearing.

I loved that Becca was no pushover, and how she tried to deny her feelings, but that man was way too hard to resist.

They are perfect together, and I loved reading their story.

In summary, this was a superb read and one I highly recommend.

Thanks to the publisher for providing a review copy of this book, via Netgalley, in exchange for my honest opinion.

In general, I'm a fan of these Entangled Brazen books, and I especially love that they are fun, quick reads. This one was no exception. My first, but definitely not my last, Jennifer Bonds read.

Seducing the Fireman was a good read.

The storyline held my interest from the first page and I kept me turning the pages until the end. In saying that I did find some of the actions by both characters a little annoying at times. This didn't take away from my overall enjoyment just distracted me a little.
I chemistry between Jackson and Becca was smoking and I enjoyed watching them banter and tease each other. Seriously these two were HOT!

A quick fast paced romance with a sexy firefighter!!!! Ummm, yes please. And toss in the element of a firefighter trying to ignite a fiery romance with the girl that got away… SOLD. While this book had all the steamy elements of banter, love, and passion, Ms. Bond was still able to weave a layer to the story of the lives of the men and women, who put their lives on the line to help rescue people those in needs. So if you are looking for a light, fiery hot second chance romance, then I would give this book a try as the hero and heroine has one burning sexual chemistry.

Jax and Becca have a history...of him standing her up. So, she sees him again and decides to do the same, although to take it further with a little humiliation and some throwing him out of her apartment naked mixed in. The problem? He keeps coming back, and somewhere along the way manages to show her that he is a nice guy. That he is serious and that he wants her.

I liked their chemistry, I liked their story, I liked that they each knew one another and liked one another for who they were as people. I also liked that the one who had the doubts wasn't Becca...once she was in, she was in. Jax had the doubts, understandable ones, but still coming from him.

The writing was solid, the characters were good...at the beginning, I was not sure how i felt about the way Becca treated Jax, but it worked and was no longer bothering me by the end.

Seducing the Fireman by Jennifer Bonds
Book Three of the Risky Business series

***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers***

Summary (from Goodreads):

Firefighter Jackson Hart is back in Brooklyn and on the hunt for the girl who’s kept him burning for ten long years. The girl he left, in a total prick move, without saying goodbye. Now he’s determined to make it right, to hell with her three-date rule.

But Becca’s not ready to forgive and forget. In fact, she seems determined to stoke his fire every chance she gets. She wants to avoid sexy distractions like him? Fine. Because what she doesn’t know—yet—is that Jax isn’t the kind of man to give up when he wants something. And he always gets what he wants.

What I Liked:

I absolutely love romance novels involving a man in uniform, and a firefighter is especially appealing. I loved book two of this series, Once Upon a Power Play, and I knew that I would enjoy this book. Jennifer Bonds has not disappointed me!

Jackson Hart stood up Becca Mancini ten years ago, leaving her waiting for him to go on their first date. He didn't mean to leave without saying good-bye, but Becca never heard why, and she assumed that he just wasn't interested. Ten years later, Jax is back in Brooklyn, one of New York's Bravest, a firefighter of the FDNY. And he's determined to have a second chance with Becca, to go on three dates with her. Becca hasn't forgotten that he abandoned her ten years ago, but she's finding out that just can't say no when it comes to him.

Jax is such a lovable hero! He's just a little arrogant, not enough to seem like a jerk, but he's really sweet and not a manwhore like many heroes in romance novels. He's confident and kind and totally selfless. He takes his job extremely seriously, driven by a tragic past. I liked seeing Jax's vulnerable side, as well as his charming and sexy side. And boy is he charming and sexy. It comes with the territory - firefighters make great romance heroes for many good reasons. *fans self*

It took me a little bit to warm up to Becca, because at first it seemed like she was going to be a jerk to Jax the whole time. If course, she was stood up by him, so I understand her anger. But Jax begins to wear down her resistance, and she forgives him (and then some). Becca is feisty and not easily pushed around, but she's also a little awkward and (when she wants to be) kind.

If there is one thing that Bonds does really well in her books, it is cook up some seriously hot chemistry, and steamy scenes too. The chemistry and foreplay aspects of her books are so sizzly! As are the steamy adult scenes. I've only read two of Bonds' books but I can tell that she'll be a go-to author for hot romances with likable characters.

On that note, I'd like to mention the depth that Bonds gives to all of her characters. In Once Upon a Power Play, Bonds went deep into the head of a (sexy) hockey player, revealing fears and insecurities that come with the profession and fame. In this book, Bonds does the same, but for the fireman profession. Jax is not just a sexy man with lots of muscles and a glamorous job. I love how we get to see turmoil and effects from his job.

Hot chemistry, steamy scenes, great romance, wonderful characters - what more could you ask for, in a romance novel? The ending is really sweet, and is actually low on the drama at the climax of the book. I appreciated that! This book was lovely, overall.

What I Did Not Like:

One small thing - like I said above, it took some time for me to like Becca. I know that Jax hurt her ten years ago, but in the very beginning, I thought Becca was being unreasonable. As the book went on though, she became more amicable. I liked her overall!

Would I Recommend It:

If you enjoy romance novels, or specifically Brazen romance novels, I really recommend this one (or Once Upon a Power Play!). I know I'm officially hooked on Bonds' books! I hope she has more with Brazen to be published in the future.

Rating:

4.5 stars -> 4 stars (I'm being picky). I really enjoyed this story! I can't wait to read more from the author. She's definitely on my auto-read list!

I laughed, I griped and I thoroughly enjoyed Seducing The Fireman. Jennifer Bonds gave us a totally different firefighter story. It was centered around love with the firehouse on the side. She made the “job” fun, serious and interesting while letting us really get to know both Jax and Becca.

Jax was really remorseful about the way he left things with Frankie. But, he was sure that she would understand when she heard the whole story. What he didn’t expect was the cold shoulder, being stood up, the radio show or totally falling head over heels in love with the girl he knew as Frankie who’s grown into the beautiful woman, Becca. There was so much that he didn’t know about her since leaving 10 years ago. He’s amazed at the woman she has become and all that she has going on in her life. Luckily, even though she keeps blowing him off, fighting the attraction between them and finding every excuse in the book to not be with him, he knows that he could break through her barriers and get her to break her three-date rule. All it will take is a little bit of ingenuity on his part, being just a little bit pushy and embedding himself into the Mancini family again.

There is no possible way that Becca will ever put her faith in Jax again. Having her heart broken once is enough for her and she can’t let the man that did it back into her life. Well, she could agree to some sex but that’s all it’s going to be. She knows that something horrendous would happen on the third date that would end it all so she knows she won’t break her rules so he could break her heart. But, seeing the man that he has become, seeing the job that he does with utter humility, has her rethinking her feelings for him. Getting her start in the photography business has to come before anything in her life and Jax even though he is more supportive that she thought he would be, just keeps distracting her.

One fire … one night of Becca sitting by his side, has Jax rethinking everything that he wanted. Yes, he knows he could build a life with Becca but, there is no way he will have her sitting around waiting for “the call” and worrying about him. She deserves more and better from a man,
Jennifer Bonds really has a way with words, with bringing her characters to life. The story was fresh and fun, had it’s serious moments and did depict the life of a firefighter and what goes through the minds of everyone around them. But, I really think that Becca’s playboy brother, Chris needs to find out just what it is that has both Becca and Jax tied in knots … love.

What a sweet story!

Jax was swoony, even with his epic screw up (was it in the past, present or both? Read and find out LOL). He was sweet, romantic and just totally swoony. I loved Becca's sass. She wasn't going to let anyone get to her and she wasn't taking crap from anyone, Jax included. Thankfully, Becca was forgiving. She taught Jax that when you love someone, you're all in....good and bad.

This was my first by Jennifer Bond, but definitely won't be my last. Her writing is clean and crisp and she writes characters that you can relate to.

Becca and Jackson grew up together and eventually came to like each other more than friends; until Jackson disappeared, breaking her heart. Ten years later Jackson is back in town and wants a second chance but Becca isn't ready to forgive him.

I started out really liking this one....but the last 20% of this book killed it for me. This review is going to contain spoilers so I apologize for that but I didn't feel as if I could say what bothered me so bad about this book without including details. One of the problems I had with this one was that Jackson spends the entire book trying to win Becca back BUT when he finally wins her over he treats her awful and breaks things off because he is a firefighter and doesn't want to cause her grief if something happens to him in a fire. My problem with this is, he already knew that he felt that way about his job and relationships so what the heck was the point of even starting something with Becca again?? Another big problem I had was: Becca finally gets what she has been working for forever in her career and he completely ruins the entire experience for her. Now every time she looks back at what was supposed to be her proudest moment, she will instead remember him being an ass. How is that fair?! And she takes him back after a simple apology and him disappearing on her twice now? I don't buy it. That makes for a very one sided relationship...bummer. I really wanted to like this one. I rounded up to 3 stars because I did enjoy the beginning of the book.

Becca has never really gotten over getting her heart broken at 15. In fact, she's held on to a grudge for a long time, so when she comes face to face with the boy who stood her up, she decides to get even with him. Even after standing him up and making it public on purpose, she then throws him out of her apartment naked. Becca is realizing that the boy became a man, and won't stop chasing her no matter what she does. Jackson Hart is back in Brooklyn to find the girl he left behind. He never got over her, so now he's determined to make it right. But Becca is making it extremely hard, but Jax is the kind of man who won't give up. Will he be able to get her to forgive him?

I enjoyed this story quite a bit. The character development is good, with a great cast of secondaries. I did find myself yelling at Becca more than once for her immature actions, but I was laughing as well. A fast paced, entertaining, and well written storyline flows smoothly. Simmering chemistry led to SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness, and the well placed humor had me laughing hard. Jennifer Bonds does a great job with her talented writing style, reeling me in from the beginning, and made it near impossible to put the story down until I finished the last word. I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed, but all in all, I LOVED this story, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I enjoyed this one because it's one of my favorite troupes brother's best friend/brother's little sister. Jackson has one moment that he regrets every day never explaining things to Becca. Now he is back in Brooklyn wants to try to make amends, but Becca has other plans for him. Jackson thwarts her attempts to keep him at an arms length. Can he wear her down and show her she's always been the one for him. There is heat and humor that makes one great combination for this book. Jackson is great hero material. He's that hunky fireman with the cocky attitude, but he has the heart that makes him so likeable. Another winner for me is you can feel the connection and chemistry between the characters.

While the relationship was very sweet and this was overall a nice read, I felt like there was so much more potential than what we got — their first relationship, the hero's family struggles, etc. Loved how involved their jobs were in the story, though!

Who can say no to a smoking hot firefighter?

Becca lost her heart to Jackson when she was a teenager, and he totally destroyed her when he left without a word.

Jackson is back and working as one of Brooklyn's finest, a sexy as sin firefighter.

Becca doesn't want him back in her life, but she can't fight that attraction to him. As hard as it is, she tries the love him and leave him thing, but it's just too hard (that's what she said :P ) There's a fine line between love and hate, and Becca is toeing that line.

Jackson is just - ugh, he's just all that. Sure, he came across as an arrogant SOB at times, but really it is all in good fun, and he can poke fun at himself just as good as the next guy.

And let me tell you - when these two get together is is 5 alarm hot!

I loved that he wasn't all sexy smirks and hot banter with him. We saw the darker side of his profession and how it affected him.
This is the first book that I have read by Ms Bond, but I know I will be keeping an eye out for more in the future.

The story was fast paced, the story flowed seamlessly, her characters are charming and witty, the heroine wasn't one of those "why does he like me" whiney girls and she didn't just jump right back into our hero's arms.

I enjoyed Seducing The Fireman and look forward to seeing what Ms Bond brings us next.

Seducing the Fireman is the third book in the risky business series by Jennifer Bonds. I have not read any of the previous books in the series yet, but it is my understanding that they are really standalones and I don't think that any of the characters overlap. Either way, I had no problem following the story or characters in Seducing the Fireman. It was a nicely wrapped up contemporary romance. I had a great time reading Seducing the Fireman. It made me want to read the other books in the Risky Business series.

Seducing the Fireman is told in dual narrative between Becca (AKA Frankie) and Jax. I really liked Jax. I think the book name is a bit misleading because it sure seemed to me that Jax was the one trying to win Becca over the whole time. She is a stubborn little thing. A bit too stubborn in my opinion. I liked her, but honestly she dealt out her fair share of abuse to Jax- from standing him up, to kicking him out of her house, to constantly leading him on, I felt bad for the poor guy. But he was never once deterred, and Becca is a good person, she is just a little confusing when it comes to her love life.

I loved the chemistry between Jax and Becca. I loved that they knew each other growing up and that Jax remembers so much about her. It was really cute. They were very wrapped up in their little world though. I kind of wish that we incorporated more of some secondary characters and that so much of the book wasn't just between the two of them. I am all for some alone scenes, and romance time but they felt a bit isolated all the time. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a thought that I was left with after reading. I also have to say that I don't love the cover for the book. This is not something directed at this book in particular, but rather at the Brazen line as a whole. I feel like all of their covers look the same, and while I love a guys chest as much as the next lady, I wish that they didn't just have a chest in a different color for all of their books because, to me, it sends the message that all of the books are the same, and I don't think they are at all. I love the stories in this line, and I think the covers are doing them a disservice.

Bottom line: Seducing the Fireman is a fun and flirty read. I completely fell in love with Jax (and in like with Becca). If you like your romances in quick, down and dirty reads, this is the perfect book for you. Even if you are new to the series, check this one out. I really enjoyed it.

Seducing the Fireman was a very entertaining albeit sometimes annoying book but with a clear lesson that Jackson Hart learned just fine: don't mess with a Brooklyn girl because she's got a long memory and will get her revenge when you least expect it.

Honestly though, I'm not a fan of juvenile and immature actions and was over Becca within the first third of the book because of the way she treated Jackson. I'm a straight shooter and prefer to deal with issues head-on, so the vengeful way of getting back at people for wrongs or perceived wrongs is quite strange to me and I think there is just a limit to how far you should go.

Poor Jax never stood a chance. He came back for Frankie, his friend's sweet and shy younger sister and he got Becca the fiery woman with a grudge, but he doesn't mind because he's in it to win it and he'll take anything she dishes out, just as long as he gets the girl in the end.

Becca learned her lesson when Jax broke her heart ten years ago and she's determined to keep him at an arm's length, but the man he has become is even more attractive than the teenage boy who stole her heart and resisting him is almost impossible, especially because he's everything she ever wanted: he's dedicated to his job, he supports and encourages her dreams and he rocks her world in the very best ways.

I enjoy reading Ms. Bonds' writing because she combines serious themes with fun dialogue and humor in a way that entertains but does not minimize the impact of her message, which in this case is the dangerous job of a fireman, the toll it can take and the challenge that comes with loving one.

3.5/5
Jackson (Jax) has returned to the one place that felt like home after his abrupt departure a number of years earlier. Ripping him away from the only people he has ever thought of as family, the Mancini's, and along with it his fledgling relationship with Frankie (Francesca). With his dysfunctional family background, Jax never felt worthy of the compassionate Frankie so he cut ties completely, with no contact for the past few years, Jax is determined to make amends on his return. Driven by his need to protect and serve, Jax is one of New York's finest, enjoying the closeness and camaraderie the fire service provides as well as feeding his desire to prevent such tragedy as he himself underwent. Filling a hole within Jax due to his lack of family relationships.

Frankie is no longer the girl Jax remembers, having her heart crushed by her first love (you can guess who that was) Frankie re-invented herself as the beautiful, intelligent woman, Becca. Although never fully recovered from the devastation Jax left behind, Becca is determined to enact revenge in order to achieve closure on her feelings for Jax. You know the saying 'revenge is a dish best served cold' well that certainly fits the situation we encounter here. The revenge itself is comical and well thought out. However, Becca is too nice a person to avoid the feelings of guilt threatening to overwhelm her.

Thrown together in unexpected ways, with Becca's pursuit of her photojournalist career, they are unable to avoid the attraction between them. I adored the banter and sizzling chemistry between Jax and Becca. Unfortunately, the emotional damage of various previous incidents on both sides creates conflicting emotions whereby past hurt clouds their future happiness, their own fears hold them back from truly embracing the relationship they could have.

Seducing the Fireman provides insight into life and relationships with someone whose job it is to risk their own lives to protect others. Happiness and especially love needs to be grasped with both hands when the opportunity arises.

Sigh. I love a second chance love story. Add a dash of childhood sweetheart, a hot fireman and it is freaking catnip for me. Which is exactly what Jennifer Bonds has given us with Jax and Becca’s story in Seducing the Fireman, the third book in Jennifer Bonds’ Risk Business series.

I adored this book – it was funny, sweet and sooooo sexy. But even more than that, this book is infused with a sense of family, one that you create rather than being born into. This is the story of two people who knew-each-other-when and were pulled apart by circumstances and then pride. But as they reconnect, it is pure joy to be a fly on the wall as Jax and Becca learn the people they have each become.

Becca Mancini is wicked in all the best possible ways. She has never forgotten her first and probably only love – the one who set the standard and broke her heart. But in the years since he left, Becca has grown into a force of nature – a woman who knows her mind and very talented photographer on the cusp of making it. There is no way not to fall in love with this woman, she is all kinds of sassy and strong. She is the friend that you want at the table for a GNO and at your side passing you tissues after a bad day. At every turn we see why she never left Jax’ heart.

Jax Hart is the fireman in question and damn. Just damn. Jax is returning to Brooklyn, the place he considered home, reconnecting with the people who were as close to family as he ever had in his life. He is a good man, who on the outside is the picture of calm, but on the inside he is the boy the whose family was not perfect or stable – he lives within those shadows looking for the light – Becca is that light.

Becca and Jax together are magic personified. They have a banter that will keep your head on a swivel – it is witty and funny, but with a sexual charge that will have you reaching for your handy dandy cold beverage.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Risky Business series and am sad to see it end. If you have not checked out the other titles, do it – because they are such good stories!

I'm always the first to say that I don't read many novels featuring firefighters. After working with them for so long, it's hard to switch off that little voice and get into a story. But when this one hit my inbox, I had to give it a shot.

I wasn't disappointed.

I loved Jackson and Becca as characters. They were well rounded with their own faults and foibles. Becca can be a little bitchy, and Jackson a little too accommodating. That's not necessarily a bad thing. To me, those traits humanized both characters. At times they both spent a little too much time in their heads, but I didn't mind that so much. As a couple, the two are hot, hot, hot. Ms. Bonds is great at writing steamy sex scenes. She's also great at humor, which I loved!

I also really appreciate how much work Ms. Bonds put into the details. A lot of authors who write about firefighters do the bare minimum and call it a day. That wasn't the case here. Ms. Bonds offered a not-always-rosy look at what it's like to be a First Responder. It's long, exhausting hours of grueling work. You lose people. You get hurt. It eats at you. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the details and how those details helped define and shape the relationship between Becca and Jackson.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with Seducing the Fireman. I'll definitely be recommending this one. 4/5 Stars.

I just love second chance love stories and this one is a winner. Jackson "Jax" Hart is back in town with one goal in mind, to track down Frankie his childhood sweetheart and explain why he disappeared all those years ago. Becca "Frankie" Mancini has never been able to get over being stood up by Jax and that has been the driving away force behind every relationship she has ever had.

When she spots him in a bar in Manhattan, the opportunity to have her revenge is ripe, so she approaches him and it's just her luck that he doesn't recognize the woman she's grown into.

The rest is fictional history as Becca realises that revenge is not as sweet as she thought it would be and Jax is willing to do anything so that she can become the woman he dreams of holding in his arms forever. As is the norm with people who have major hangups they each do their damnedest to destroy their relationship but Jax's determination in the end wins.

Jax is quite the cocky man, “I like dessert as much as the next guy, but if you think ice cream can make you come,” he said, his words a smoky caress,“ then you’ve never had a real orgasm. I’d be happy to correct that for you any time. Just say the word.” Really Jax is not a bashful man, “I need to be inside you,” he said, stroking his ***k and pumping into his own hand. “I need it fast and hard and sweaty.” Becca sure does like to tempt her man, and that boy is always ready, “I’m making omelets,” she called over her shoulder. “They’re almost ready.” She turned around, her eyes going straight to his ***k. “And apparently so are you.” I really enjoyed this book I loved Jax.

When I was offered the chance to review this book, I jumped at the chance. While the author was new to me, stories of hot firemen were not, and it had been quite a while since I had gotten to read one.
Let me just say I definitely was not disappointed. Jackson and Becca's story is not only filled with some pretty hot scenes, but I love the way that the calls to the fires and accidents were described. I could picture them clearly. I really enjoyed this book and can't think of one reason why you wouldn't also. Give it a try!

Becca was 15 when she was going to go on her first date with Jackson (Jax). But he never showed up, never called. 10 years later, he's back in Brooklyn, working for FDNY - and he's determined to find Becca and get the second chance he doesn't know if he deserves.

He's also determined not to become a family man - he thinks his job is too dangerous to have a wife and family be afraid every time he gets called out. But he can't resist what his heart wants, and his heart wants Becca.

Becca is a freelance photographer, trying to get her own business started. When Jax first tries to get her to forgive him for standing her up when they were teenagers, she holds back. But not too hard, he doesn't seem to have any problem getting to her body, even if she's withholding her heart. Plus, she keeps kicking him out right after. But he keeps trying until he wins her love.

That old fear of happiness comes back to bite him in the butt - one thing I really liked about this story was that his best friend, Becca's brother - didn't pull that tired old "don't you touch my sister" bull. Becca's a grown woman, and all Christopher says is "Don't hurt her" and then also offers pretty wise advice when that's exactly what happens.

Happy Ever After ensues for the characters and for the readers.

I’ll give 3.5⭐️ for this read. Becca was hurt as a young teen and held onto that hurt into her young adulthood. I had to remember what it was like at those ages since it’s been some time for me. So I cut her some slack. Young wounds sometimes don’t heal well if at all and she just wouldn’t allow herself to move forward. That being said, she sure did make Jax work for it! Well not IT cause they did that a lot but he wanted more but she didn’t trust him. He clearly had changed and suffered childhood trauma that was wearing on him emotionally as well. It was so frustrating when he pulled the crap at her exhibition and I did feel for Becca. However, I think they way the author brought them back together was fitting. Overall a very cute spicy read.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one...I did. But the way Jax treated Becca at the end there? Not okay. I wasn't able to get past it and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The rest of the read was fun and frisky.

Jax comes back to Brooklyn to make amends with Becca, the girl he stood up when he was younger. She wants to pay him back, but it isn't long before their chemistry has them coming back to each other.

I'm not sure what it was about this one, but it wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other Brazen books. It might be because of that ending, but I'm not sure.

I wanted to like this one, but it just fell flat for me. It started with an interesting premise, but the FMC simply acted so childish for a large portion of that book it made it difficult to connect with her.

Nah. I was quite bored reading this book. The first book in the series was the best.
