I enjoyed the story so much. I loved all the characters and will be immediately jumping to book 2! I also really liked the authors writing, and there there are some scenes that will live rent free in my mind forever! 😜

The writing was good, and even though the tension felt a little long, I couldn't put the book down. The MMC just stayed bad from beginning to end. I liked that he recognized she was his only weakness and he didn't give any F*s about that. 😆 He was locked in. The book realistically takes place over months and seeing the outcomes of the attraction helped the story feel mature.

Just found Author’s

I came across K.A. Wombolt when I picked up her book Bending the Rules. Seeing that it was related to The Men of Bolt Corp. I start with this book Bolted. It was a great read kept me interested and was a page turner. I binged it yesterday till I couldn’t hold my eyes open. Just finished and I am going to be reading more by these two authors. This Naughty Little Mice 🐭 is here to eat up all of K.A. Wombolt and N.J. Gammage books. 📚

After hearing KA Wombolt speak on the Love N Vegas panel I knew I had to read something by her… so I bought the SE of Bolted and jumped right in.

The toxicity, mystery, betrayal and alpha hole vibes kept me binge reading this entire book! Sebastian and Riley had chemistry that was off the charts and their magnetic push and pull story kept me wanting more.

The boss mentality that Sebastian had was exactly that… he’s the boss and all others (should literally) be on their knees for him. He was the ultimate f*ck boy who thought he would never need to settle down. Riley was the married, determined, new employee at Bolt Co. and had no clue what she was getting herself into. Her mundane world was flipped upside down by Sebastian and now she was questioning everything.

I will say that this book had a ton of tropes thrown in, almost like the authors wanted to dabble in everything and make sure we all had something to love while reading. For me, that was not a problem as this was my debut novel from them and I actually do thrive on reading messy toxicity!

Wow! Just wow! I devoured this book! I could not put it down & I was obsessed! What a ride! The plot of this story hit just right. I loved it! This book will have you turning the pages till the last page. It will keep you wanting more! It was so well written & loved all the characters! But I will say my heart was with Sebastian from start to finish!

The attraction, tension, heat, spice, obsession & weakness between Sebastian & Riley.. it was everything! Sebastian is a boss & a boss I would fall for in a heartbeat! Riley is sweet & innocent but oh so perfect for Sebastian. What Riley needed all this time, was a man like Sebastian. I loved watching their story unfold & I was rooting for them both! They are a perfect match!

70% of the book is the fmc being sa’d and the mmc screwing anything that even looks his way. Playboy aspect was overblown he basically fixates on fmc because she is one of the only women who literally don’t immediately drop to their knees and open their mouth (just the way he likes them). He brags repeatedly about what a great lover he is but from the interactions you do see with other women I find that highly questionable. One specifically whines hoping he finishes soon. When your partner is “dry as a desert” again his words you’re doing it wrong.

Bolted is a dark, intense, and gripping read that kept me hooked from start to finish. Riley’s journey is both heartbreaking and empowering, and her chemistry with Sebastian is filled with tension and emotional depth. The story tackles heavy themes but does so in a way that feels authentic and well-paced.

With strong character development, plenty of suspense, and a satisfying conclusion, this book is a must-read for fans of dark romance. While Riley and Sebastian’s story wraps up, there’s still intrigue leading into the next book, and I’m definitely continuing the series!

Must Read!!

I read this book in one sitting and did NOT put it down until I was done. It’s definitely a dark romance (so make sure you read through the trigger warnings) but it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and sent me through all the emotions. I can’t wait for the next book!

Goodness this book…. She starts as an intern at a law firm and becomes friends with the head of HR. What Riley doesn’t know is Sebastian wants her as his. She does a great job but she is married to Nate who is abusive towards Riley and does end up kidnapping her. Sebastian gets her back and the rest is history… or is it?

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I recommend it to all readers over 18 please heed trigger warning. I am going to read the next book in the series and see if it is as good. I enjoyed this one hoping next one is as good or better. Will let you know.

Fantastic debut!

This debut novel surprised me with its brilliance. The characters, plot, spice, everything was perfect! I loved having the Multi POVs allowing us to see different facets of the characters and plot. Definitely read the trigger warnings before diving in but if you’re like me then the more the merrier! 🤣🤣 I can’t wait to see where the rest of the series goes!

I wish I had never read this book…. I’m scared I’m not going to find another one as good as this one is!!!! I loved it. The ONLY thing I would change is for you to see more domestic things between the couple, but that’s just the romantic side of me coming through. You can definitely see the characters giving themselves in ways that they know how.

Riley is married to Nate. They were high school sweethearts. Riley gets out of law school and starts working as an intern at a law firm owned by Sebastian and friends. Sebastian is pretty much a man whore who sleeps with everyone, he has a secretary that regularly gives him favors. Riley is in a bad relationship with her husband who pretty much takes advantage of her every night, Its a very sad situation. One night Riley and Sebastian worked late together and there was crazy chemistry with each other. After that night Sebastian becomes pretty much obsessed with Riley. We find out that Nate is working for a bad guy named Lockhart who is the uncle of Sebastian’s Secretary. Nate ends up, kidnapping Riley and drugs her and rapes her in his cottage for days. Luckily, Sebastian finds her and gets her to safely and calls a doctor to get her checked out. Sebastian ends up, finding Nate and cuts his tongue out after Nate tells Sebastian that Lockhart wants Riley. Riley ends up moving in with Sebastian and he takes care of her. She now has to learn how to trust her body with him and learn that it’s OK to like the things she likes when it comes to relations with him. They both fall hard for each other.

If you like dark billionaire romance, dark mafia, boss/intern, and lots of tension, you will like this. This is dark romance, please read the trigger warnings, there is SA on the page of the FMC. While I want to remain honest and say there were elements I felt lacking here, I blew through this one. I felt that Sebastian's playboy attitude was a bit overplayed, which thats fine, gives us opportunity for growth within his character and I'm not really sure we saw a lot of that. We saw him being obsessed with sex with anyone he could get to being obsessed with sex with her. I also felt that Riley's growth was stunted as well. I don't feel she had the growth through her healing coming from an abusive relationship she didn't even realize was abusive until after it was painfully clear. I would have loved to have seen that fleshed out more and seen her flourish as her own individual self a little more before going from the house of her husband to the house of her new husband. Even with those things, I read this in a day and that ending oh my gosh. I immediately downloaded book 2. This book left me feeling things for sure. I needed to know what was going on with their (Riley and Nate's) parents and I hope to learn more about that backstory and the mafia ties. And also, Sasha.. near the end some of the guys were talking about how something didn't feel right when she was brought up and I don't know if its just that she was in on it with Nate or if she was genuinely scared of him, I don't know. Again, more that I hope will become clear further along in the series.

I really liked this one. While certain aspects were easily predictable, there were a lot of steps to get to those points that I definitely did not see coming.
 
I liked how Mr. billionaire boss helped Riley find truths about her soon-to-be-ex to help her stand for herself. His attitude towards women in general leaves a lot to be desired, but towards the end, he displays how soft he is for her... she's the only one who has made him work for his attention.

The smexy scene towards the end was as brutal as it was empowering; it left me seriously hoping Riley felt her well-deserved closure after that.

The next book is about a different character, so I believe this could be a standalone, but the epilogue of this one was a cliffhanger for book 2, so if you don't want the next one, skip the epilogue. I definitely want to continue the series!

This book needs WAY more attention!! After recently meeting the authors and hearing about this book/series, it sounded like something that I would like. And it did not disappoint! It was dark and steamy AF. Billionaire, “little mouse”, bosses assistant/intern, sex club. Just a few tropes to add to the list. But there was such a good mafia type story line that I wouldn’t even call romantic suspense it was like romantic smut (if that’s a thing?) but in the best way. The introduction of the other company owners was just the perfect mix to get me excited to keep going into their stories and I can’t wait to read more. Xavier and Corinne I know is going to be good, however the Kaz and the twins in book 3 … 🙈🙈🙈

This book was amazing. Finished it with a day and a half. I loved that the author jumped right into everything and didn't drag it out. Sebastian is a boss I think we all need, lol. Reily is a tough woman for what she had to deal with. I'm hoping Xaiver gets his book. Can't leave us with that cliffhanger

A pretty enjoyable book. The FMC is starting a new chapter of her life that becomes a new life. I appreciated that it called attention to things you think as a reader and addressed them. I really enjoyed how the story played out. The aspect of mystery kept it super engaging. Also set up for Book 2 extremely well. Excited to see the rest of the series.
