Concept of 2D Drawings Tools
Designing a Drawing Environment by setting Limits, Layers, Text Style, Text Height, Dimension Style, Arrows Units etc.
1. Click Auto CAD Software icon on window desktop.
2. The Auto CAD screen with start up windows, appears. This window provides you four options to start the Auto CAD Program.
i) Use a Wizard.
ii) Use a Template.
iii) Start from scratch.
3. Select any of the above four options says use a Wizard.
4. Select Advance Setup from selected a Wizard.
5. Click OK the Architectural units of measurement with precision of 1/4".
6. Click Next, next, next.
7. Select the width of area say width 100' and length 70', Click Finish.
8. Click View + Zoom + All.
9. Click format + Text Style (DB appears), select Times New Roman Font or any other drop down list and type 6", 9" or 12" in height in put box (or your requirements).
10. Click Apply and Close.
11. Click Format + Dimension Style (DB appears).
12. Click Modify and click lines and arrows tab dimension.
13. Select Dimension style and extension line supervision and select head style and arrow size and click close.
14. Click set current and click close.
15. Click later in object properties tool bar (Later Properties Manager DB appears).
16. Click new and type the name of layer and select layer color from color drop down list. Create as may layer as we like the click OK.
17. Click File + Save (Save drag as DB appears).
18. Type name in file name input box.
19. Click Save. The Drawing with all its above mentioned setting is saved.
20. Exit the Auto CAD drawing.
21. If we are interested to open this drawing again click File + Open and select the desired file from select file DB and click open. The selected file is open for working and modification.
