Good for basic information on the baby's growth, changes in the mother's body and guide to labour and birth. However, despite it being a 2016 edition, it still felt very dated and unprogressive - eg talks about pink/blue colours for nursery, that Dad's only job is to fix the car seat and that the only 'nesting' he'll want to do is building a shed... I think I can fix a car seat and the least of my concerns is painting things pink or blue.

I really like the idea of turning a page each day as you go through your pregnancy. There are interesting facts and figures to be found on each page and the book tells you what your baby is up to and what you should be doing as you progress along in the pregnancy. The information seems sensible and impartial and deals with both the good and bad. Particular mention must be made of the stunning images throughout the book of real life inside the womb – it is detail one wouldn't normally get to see and it really is amazing.

Although this book does occasionally give over multiple pages to important stages such as the first- and 20-week scans, the format is generally a daily page with a little bit of information at a time. This approach is good in that it doesn't overwhelm the reader, but sometimes I have found it a bit annoying when I wanted to look at a particular issue in detail (e.g. diet, travel etc) that there isn't one go-to section, it is spread out over several entries in the book so you have to scan back and try to remember where you read something.

I have been reading this book in conjunction with a more conventional pregnancy guide that is split into topics. I have found this to be a good approach as I can just dip into the day-by-day book or can spend longer on the other guide if I have more time/want to focus a bit more on a particular issue.

It was okay, but quite a fun book to see the development of the baby day by day. Contains quite useful information towards the end - about birth, baby, and problems associated with post-birth and the health of the baby.

Lovely to have something to read every day. I made it to 37 weeks before my baby was born early, so I don't know what those last pages hold but the rest was great.
Lots of information for people having twins, and a variety of voices represented.

Some useful information. Just know the authors are based in the UK and refer to benefits available for UK residents.

Very useful and complete, even if you don't live in the UK (some sections refer to the UK maternity leave system, for example).

We read a page from this book every day. It is nice to get an update on the developing baby every 24 hours, particularly during the first trimester when you barely feel pregnant.

The only pregnancy book I used in the end. provided good, varied information throughout the whole thing, but in smaller snippets so it was easy to fit it in to the day. This is the only pregnancy book I would recommend.
