This book covers all the most common pediatric diseases in an easy-to-read style for parents. It begins with an overview of Chinese medical theory regarding pediatric disease and then discusses 38 of the most common pediatric complaints in chronological order based on when children typically develop them. Included are everything from colic and croup to whooping cough & hyperactivity. Under each disease, the reader will find a brief discussion of the different types of patterns one typically encounters, what acupuncture and Chinese medicine have to offer, and tips on diet and home remedies.

I am a practitioner of oriental medicine with a focus on pediatrics. This is something I would give a parent to read but first I'm going to reread it myself.
I loved this book. I thought it was a bit in depth for the lay parent though, but it's very informative.
Interesting but some of the advice is not clear. It told me to rub my child's abdomen in the opposite direction of the large circles. What does that mean? It has a good description of the way Chinese medicine practitioners diagnose and treat children.
