I read the first edition of this book (published in 1997) shortly after Tiger Woods really burst onto the scene and into the awareness of the public as a true golf prodigy by clobbering the field to win the '97 Masters Invitational.
This book does a good job of what it was designed to do--satiate the craving that people had for more info about their sudden new hero. Any time that a sportscaster tosses off some piece of info about Tiger Woods that is designed to impress, the tidbit doesn't surprise me because I almost always know it already, and that is mostly thanks to this book. This biography, though only going up to about age twenty-one in Tiger Woods's life, is well written and satisfying. It actually made me more inclined to read other biographies.

Eldrick "Tiger" Woods was born to play golf. Even at the age of less than 1 year old, he knew how to pick up a golf club and tee off a golf ball. This book tells all about his amazing childhood of how he learned to play golf. It has some little sad parts about his life, but also funny of how he could do things at a very low age.

This is a biography of the life and career of Tiger Woods. There is a lot of golf and golf lingo in this book. If you love golf it's a winner, if you're not a golf lover it can be a bit tedious. Regardless of your feelings about golf, Tiger's story is something to read. A great way to get kids to read non-fiction.

Tiger Woods: An American Master was a pretty good book. The reason that it was only "pretty good" is because that at times it got kind of dull. It just kept droning on and on. But it was interesting learning how Tiger Woods became the very best of the best. The constant schedule of his is unbelievable.

Some of the things that I've learned from this book is its take hard work to become great and have greatness. As long as you stick with something and show ur dedcation to it for a long period of time it will show off on the long run.

I am currently finishing this book. This book is about the young Tiger Woods being a prodigy in the game of golf. In the beginning of the book, it shows how he started to learn to play and how he improved his game during the years.
