My almost 12 boy and almost 14 yo girl have been listening to this each night on a Christian broadcast AM Station. They refuse to miss an episode, and have loved every minute of this story. They recap back to me everything that happens each night, and I just have to tell you as a mama of 6 who loves the Lord, this is so hard. It’s so hard to imagine watching my child suffered, knowing the strength it took to continue fighting for her. but parents do it every day, and with their faith in tact. Bless you!

Thank you for writing a book that is touching the lives of my children, (and me, through them), that could quite possibly change the course of their lives and how they perceive the world.

A deeply touching and intimate testimony that changed my perspective on life and the inevitability, and also the necessity, of suffering in our broken world. This is the kind of book that stays with you. I will certainly read it again. I urge anyone who yearns to find meaning amidst their pain to give this book a read.

This book was so hard for me to read. The child has the same condition my son has, so it was far too personal. But I read it when my son was one year old (he's now 14) and it gave me more hope for my son's future, than the doctors did. For anyone without personal ties, this is a great book to read because it gives you a day-to-day view of what it is like raising a severely disabled child. It is a very touching, moving and heart-breaking book.

Considering the subject matter (severely handicapped child who dies), it obviously wasn't an 'easy read', but it was an important one. We all face struggles in life, but this couple seemed to have more than their share to deal with. Their ability to not only survive, but thrive shows the power of God in our lives even when we think we are alone and forgotten. Inspirational and heartwarming.

What a heartwrenching story...for any parent to have to go through such pain for a child just should not have to be. And yet, at the same time, this is such a story of ultimate triumph.
