Surprisingly, I like Aja Foxx's books. That's because I don't like books that portray wealth in an exaggerated way, which borders on the ridiculous, or rude "alpha" characters who act like they own the world and a little more. Here it kind of works, since the author doesn't focus on it so much. That said, let's get to the book and the series in general.
Most importantly, MAKE EDITING IN THESE BOOKS. It amounts to a lack of respect for readers and fans. I know that many authors publish their own works and everything else, but you need to invest a little more and do this review.
All the books in the series have problems with changing character names. All.
Gearhead and Percy, I don't know where some authors get their characters' names and codenames, and I'm afraid to know, but they should read certain scenes or paragraphs out loud in front of some random person and see if the reaction is positive or negative. But I can tell you, it will be negative. Just imagine during sex, in the middle of the most intense climax of your life, where you get to see stars and galaxies, you scream GEARHEADDDDDD! I would be flaccid instantly, if I had a penis of course.
I found the beginning of the book, at least 30%, boring. But then it hooked me. It seems that the author is creating a universe and with each book he adds new information, a new characteristic for the characters. That's good, if he intends to develop this universe, but if it's just to release one more book and that's it, he wouldn't even need to bother. There are a lot of things that would need a lot of development and information, which if not presented correctly will make the books look like a big synopsis.
Solving problems bothers me. In 23 chapters, 80% is a poorly disguised suspense, the same mistakes as in the previous books, and in the last chapters, BOOM, resolved. Speaks seriously.
In the previous book, security cameras were mentioned in the club, I don't understand why they weren't there before (and they think they're very intelligent and badass), in this they say they didn't put them in the outside area. Swallow. In addition to having placed it in the hospital and not checking the footage when the club was bugged. Swallow again.
Percy, sweet, beautiful and virginal, quotes "No one has ever touched me like Gearhead. Made my body feel the things he does. No one has ever cared about my desires." But wasn't he a virgin? With agorophobia, that he never had a relationship with anyone in any way? How can he have a parameter for comparison?
The author needs to learn how to use pronouns. I'm tempted to reread the book, just to count how many times each character's name is mentioned in the entire book. In just one paragraph, a simple speech or thought, Percy, sweet, beautiful and virginal, mentions Gearhead's name 5 times.
From the criticism you would think that I don't like the series or this book, but the opposite applies. I really like it and it has a lot of potential. But the author needs to calibrate things.
Looking forward to books for all MC members, besides Tank. The pregnancy of the omegas, especially Bug and Henry. Fewer contradictions and errors.
If the character wasn't named Gearhead, I'd give it 5 stars and forget all transgressions. But unfortunately shouts Joseph, at the time of the climax it doesn't make the author's mind.

It's not a bad story and I was super excited to have another in this series (even though what I really want is a novella of Henry and his Butler) but there are so many mistakes. So many inconsistencies. I noticed them but I can't remember them all, so let this be an example of what I mean: Earlier in the book, Bear AND Bug were gonna be assigned to see who put the bomb out. Well, when push came to shove, only Bear was in the field. Which doesn't even make sense, since Bug is the street smart one AND the only it sounded like was the MVP for this, but only Bear went. He must be alone, bc Bug was in the clubhouse for the sugars or whatever their name is, to accost Percy. And right after, Butch said to check in with Bug and his tummy--now, that *could* be over a phone, sure, except the next chapter had "Bear hadn't reported back yet" so, despite it being established both Bear and Bug were gonna check things out, only Bear went. The other examples are like this: inconsistencies. Not just writing choices that don't make sense, but a worse sin---ones that don't add up with what was stated before. This was at least the third. I'm not even half way through.

I love this series. I was so excited to see another book!
Gearhead, the mechanic for the mc, finds/kidnaps his mate Percy.
This keeps the storyline going. We get more details about the two fox shifters from book 3, we get more Bug 💕💕💕 love Bug, and we get more shifter shenanigans while Butch TRIES to rangle the shifter mc members.
Percy has a great backstory, I liked his character a lot.
I just wish this story was a bit longer.
I loved the bonus short story with Bug.
I also wish we could find out more about this omega situation.

just meh
Story line was okay…bear shifter in a motorcycle club finds his mate and takes him home or “kidnaps” him.
They immediately mate and claim. Issues with the mates old skulk come out and and the bear shifters retaliate.
Editing was sub par. Consistency in the story in some spots with names etc. running a bath but then they’re taking a shower…
Steam was sub par too.
Just not that good. I was disappointed in it…

I really love Aja. I love this series, these characters, the plot, the heat. I do think a proofer or beta is needed. There were a couple of errors throughout either grammatical or plot related - when fixed would really enhance the story. But otherwise, such a fun, light-hearted read.

pretty good
A solid 4.5 stars. I just wished that we got more time with gearhead and Percy. The whole book literally was in a span of 5 weeks. I wanted it to be longer so I can finally see when gearhead finally gets that tattoo on his finger and maybe Percy get some ink on himself as well.

This story wasn’t bad. It was super insta everything. It was fated mates so I expected the insta stuff but they didn’t even kiss their first time being intimate. Gearhead just went in hard like Percy wasn’t a virgin! Also I wish Percy would have called Gearhead by his real name, him yelling “Gearhead” while they had sex was super cringe.

Great read
Loved the book and would read again. Story is entertaining and if fast enough that you don't want to lose focus. Just wish that this wasn't the last book in this series of books.

I'm so happy to have another book to this series! It's been awhile since it's been updated and Aja Foxx did not disappoint. I hope she continues with this series. Gearhead made me laugh and I wanted to cover Percy up in a blanket.

I'd give anything for Percy to not use the name Gearhead all the time. At the very least in private but nope. So awkward. Why even give him a real name if I'm going to be subjected to that? Bug's birthday is why I finished I love that little guy. Doby is now Dobby.

Really was expecting a fifth book or more books that cover the rest of the MC. Maybe the new fox prospects mating to one of the bears also. Rooster, Peanut, and Ink need a story also Tex, maybe even Tank(ehh).

Book Four in the Soldiers of Fortune series is another wonderful read. The MCs are wonderful, and if anything, I wanted more.
