Bernard Notlieb, well into mid-life crisis, decides to hire an assistant so he'll have someone to talk to. He likes the idea so much, he hires two guys. Then things go horribly wrong when Notlieb is accused of murder and he accidentally gets his assistants involved, which is not exactly what they signed up for. Now, they refuse to speak to him.
