📚 “Craft a life worthy of you”
✍️ Christina Wallace, a Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School and serial entrepreneur, first caught my attention during her appearance on the "10% Happier" podcast last March, which led me to pick up her latest book, “The Portfolio Life”
📕 The book starts with advice similar to the Japanese concept of Ikigai, but Christina quickly deepens it with more practical insights and exercises. She guides readers to think of themselves as the CEO of their own lives, offering a clear framework to combine personal and professional goals.
📖 While I enjoyed much of the book, it didn’t quite live up to the “game-changing” expectations I had. The advice is solid and helpful, but some of the ideas felt a bit too familiar rather than groundbreaking.

This book encourages you to look at your interests and passions and determine how you can combine them to create your future, not only professionally but also personally.
This book is not meant to be only read. It is a workbook that takes you though a number of exercises to identify your skills, interests and passions. I recently launched my portfolio career and the exercises in this book helped me to think about what roles I want to take on and which I should pass on.
It is a book that should be revisited on a regular basis to refresh my thinking about how I should be spending my 'one wild and precious life'.
