While preparing for pre PSAT test as a 10th grader, I realized more practice are needed for SAT reading section. I practice weekly at Beestar online which is not only effective, it also recommends this book as additional resource. These questions included in the book are similar to the ones found on the SAT, setting my expectation right for the test day. Each question includes a concise explanation that is easy to follow and has helped me to full understand the concepts. I feel my study more effectively to improving my best score. Weeks after I started with this book, my weekly rank in Beestar test increased dramatically, plus I truly understand what I am doing and feel the testing purpose of each questions. This book ranks #9 in overall workbook section, it is a great one to have.

I was generally okay with the book, with the types of passages as well as questions and solutions. But for many questions’ solutions, I thought they were inadequate, eg. many solutions didn’t give thorough explanation, and in most cases, the style/approach of explanation is varied/haphazard/random, eg. Some solutions explain only three out of five choices and say nothing about why the other two choices are incorrect; some don’t even explain other choices but only briefly state why the answer is what it is; and so on. The explanations were just unsatisfactory overall.
