Is it possible to love Brie and Amon as much as Rhian and Gideon? Yes. Yes, it is. My girl Brie has daddy issues which, are causing issues in her relationship with Amon. It’s been two years since she and Rhian crashed Keyshon’s wedding and she, unexpectedly, met the love of her life. As far as Brie is concerned, things are perfect between her and Amon and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Amon’s view on their relationship is much different. Brie is it for him and he just wants to put a ring on it, change her last name to Black, and possibly, put a baby (or two) in her. But, Brie is runnin’ from marriage like a runaway slave. Her dad left her and Ms. Rashawnda when she was six and Bernard’s bytch azz never looked back. He remarried and started an entire new family and just moved on with life as if Brie never existed. His actions had a lasting effect on Brie and jaded her views on marriage. After watching the heartbreak her mama endured, she vowed never to get married. But, a surprising turn of events has Brie rethinking her decision. Those same surprising turn of events had me side eyeing Ms. Rashawnda. 😒😒😒 Now, Ms. Rashawnda what kind of ganja were you smokin’ that made you think that shyt you pulled was okay?!!! Brie’s mama was wildin’ and she pissed me off. 🤬🤬🤬 Rashawnda earned herself a temporary spot on my shyt list and I’m not sure if or when she’s coming off of it. I wasn’t expecting a book on these characters but, I’m oh so happy Charity gave us one. Brie and Amon were perfection. He was attentive, he was loving, he was patient, he was clingy AF, he was a protector, and he was a killer when he had to be. Please know, he did not play about his lady. It was my man, my man, my man all day long for Brie. Sis was a rider, and she rode hard for Amon with no questions asked. One Eighty Too was a phenomenal follow-up. Once again, the romance was romancing and the chemistry was equally intense. I loved the updates on Rhian, Gideon, Moon, and the rest of the Powers family. Everyone is happy, thriving, and still in love. I really hope this isn’t the last we see of these characters. I’m just gonna go ahead and put it out there in the universe and you do with it what you will. I wouldn’t mind a series on the Allen brothers. 🫣🫣🫣 I think we need more legal drama in Crescent Falls. IJS
We first met Amon and Brie in “One Eighty” and you couldn’t help but fall in love with these two! As Rhian’s cousin and Gee’s cousin/brother/right hand, these two were always around as the best support system these two could have. We saw their relationship blossom from the background so now that we were finally able to witness their love loud and at the forefront, it was a beautiful sight to see!
Everyone needs them an Amon because it didn’t take him a single second to realize Brie’s worth and want to do everything humanly possible to create the softest life for her. As independent as she was, he stepped up whenever he was needed and even when he wasn’t to ensure Brie’s comfort at all times.
He’s ready to lock Brie down as his forever but she’s fine with the way things are. When her Gram said “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” Brie took those words as solid gold and there was no changing her mind. After witnessing the demise of her parents the moment they said “I do” she knew that this was the last thing she wanted for her and Amon.
Amon was sooooo patient with Brie. In the midst of running a business, starting a new one, old drama becoming new drama, police corruption and everything in between, he still made sure Brie was his number one priority at all times. We stan a man that stands on business and Amon did just that. It’s clear that a man is doing something right when he’s the first person you run to at any sign of distress.
Their story had its fair share of drama and audacity *yes I’m side eyeing Brie’s mama heavily* but in the end it all worked out. I know this is the Amon and Brie show but I loved getting updates on Rhian and Gee! I was anticipating the arrival of Gianna just like everyone else and loved to see that Gee STILL don’t play about his wife. He is so obsessed with her and I loved every scene with them!
This was a nice follow up to the first book and I can’t wait to see what Charity has next for us!
One Eighty Too was such a great book and one that I didn’t know I needed. The love between Amon and Brie oozed from the pages. Brie said “There’s an unparalleled security in knowing that your man will kill for you” and I almost shouted, because YES! She deserved all the loving that Amon had to offer her. I feel like I say this often, but Charity can write a male character and Amon is definitely on my book bae list. He has a mysterious and dark persona but it works because he is down bad for Brie and I think that other side balances him out.
It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for these two but their conflicts were resolved by the end of the book. Amon craved every piece of Brie and while she was content with their setup, I’m glad she allowed herself to experience everything that he had to offer. In a sense, they had similar backgrounds in regard to love, especially surrounding their parents. Brie’s father did a number on her; it took a special man to undo the pain she suffered. I would have liked a more in depth discussion with her father and I understood why she was upset with her mother.
Overall - the book was easy to follow, the chemistry between the characters was believable, and there was a balance of romance and urban entities. I loved the updates on Gideon and Rhian; but I appreciated that the focus was solely on Brie and Amon. I absolutely love when Charity invokes legal jargon into her books, I always feel like I learn something. Good work on this one!
We get to experience Brie and Amon on their journey together. I liked their characters. Amon was a boss, his let me take care of you energy was sexy af especially with that dimple. He played no games in the bedroom or with haters on the street. Brie was beautiful and very secure about who she was. She had a successful career and loves hard. They were very much in love and Amon was ready to do life with her. They were sweet together.
The story line around them was distracting for me and I didn't really feel like it added much to their love story. I feel like editing some of the extra ish down would have allowed the reader to feel more of a connection from them. We had Brie mixing up oils, but why? We then had the random chick in Haiti but it was unclear as to why, I'm assuming she ran from the bd but it kind of just ended. Overall, the drama was anticlimactic.
I think focusing on the issues with their mothers and then tying that back to how they were doing their lives differently would have been enough.
I'm a sucker for BIG love and I didn't feel that from them, but they were cute together and I'm glad they got their HEA.
Do I want to start by dragging Rashawnda or how much I liked Brie and Amon 🤔 let’s get Miss out the way. At first I was like dang Brie needs to chill, her Mom deserves a life, especially after being alone for so long, but when we found out it was her trifling daddy, I was like nah, especially how she did the big reveal! Girl what were you thinking?! It’s a no for me all day, but be in love I guess. They had some strong ties because after the way he left them and then went on to have a whole other family and be present and never look back, would’ve been enough for all the love I had to leave. Again I digress.
Now Brie and Amon did it for me (no shade, but not more than Rhian and Gideon). He brought balance to all her flightiness. He wanted that forever with her but she was holding back because of her childhood trauma. While I get it, I don’t. Write your own story girl, if you fall, get up and try again! When she finally stepped into the light I was happy for them cause Amon deserved to have his desires met as well.
The men in Crescent Falls are really one of a kind. They can be stone cold killers but soft for their women, and they don’t play games! When the jeweler tried to hug Amon and thought shit was sweet and he stood 10 toes down on not disrespecting his woman. That’s the kind of man I want, one who not skinning and grinning and being extra friendly to everybody!
Our other beautiful couple that fell in love in one night, have come back to grace us with their story. Amon may have had a tough upbringing, straddles the line between legal and illegal, but one thing he knows for sure is that he loves Brie with his entire heart and soul. There is nothing he wouldn't do for her, and he was good with that.
Brie loved her man, her man, her man, but when he brought up marriage, it was a hard no for her. Her father's abandonment jaded her, angered her, and allowed doubt to grow in her heart when it came to men, and marriage. She is certain that nothing good can come from marriage, look what it did to my parents, she says. Girl..... you are too smart to be this stupid! 👀 Every person, every relationship is different. To think that all marriages are doomed to fail because your parents didn't make it is silly. She really had me hot with her way of thinking, and blowing Amon off like she did. 🤬 Ma'am, you have the almost perfect man, who will do anything for you, and wants you to be his wife. If this was any other man, he would have walked away from you and your foolishness. 👀 But Amon is a rare breed, and he was not leaving Brie, even though she got on his last nerves with the no marriage talk. Glad she finally got herself together, and let that man give her all the love they both deserved.
The Roman, Alecia storyline threw me a bit, but I guess you need a bit of drama, right? 🤷🏾♀️ I enjoyed catching up with Gee and Rhian, being adorable as ever. Cheers to another one...👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
4⭐️ Senior did a phenomenal job raising his boys. Amon clearly uses him as the blueprint. I loved Rhian & Gideon’s book but Amon and Brie’s just hit different. Love this CF crew. Throughout the book we see how Brie’s dad has affected her relationship with Amon. We see her going through all of the raw emotions or finding forgiveness to give to him and she tries to forgive herself for being a roadblock in her relationship. Amon doesn’t hesitate and loves her through it all. He does not play when it comes to Brie . I love that this author’s books have romance but a strong plot with other variables as well. Excited for her new release coming out next week .
Amon, Amon, AMON😍😍😍😍 Amon is easily in my top 5 book baes. I absolutely loved the way he loved on Brie! I was worried for a second when ole girl came up missing. Thought Amon was about to find his way behind bars.
Brie’s Mom was out of her mind for bringing Brie’s Dad to the baby shower. BTW if this ever becomes a show or movie, Brie’s dad better be played by Michael Beach!🤣
It started off a little slow , But at the 1st couple of pages The plot Came to a point.182Yes The store story of Bri in180. I'm so glad she decided to marry Amon. He loved her and asked numerous of times for her hand in marriage. You will not be disappointed.
Very good follow up. These men that @Charity creates are swoon worthy. I loved Amon and Brie. Amon was so patient with her but with everyone else, he was not patient about his business. I know Brie's reasoning seemed crazy but I completely got it. If the first man you loved and was suppose to love you walked out on you, you may have a hard time believing that a husband will stay. Her father reentering her mom's life was really a eukera moment for her. @Charity, you almost got a tear out of me when they finally had their long overdue convo. I've got to stop listening to these books at work!!!
Brie + Amon One thing about Charity is, she is going to write the perfect man. I pray that it is from experience. Amon is perfect. Probably my favorite MMC from her so far. He was so patient and loyal and loving and protective of Brie and Gideon actually.
Brie’s parents… Didn’t enjoy that storyline, her mama didn’t need to be that weak. There isn’t that much love in the world.
Amon and Brie are back! After reading One Eighty, I was waiting for their story. There is no denying that Amon and Brie are in love and Amon is ready to take the next step. However, Brie’s unresolved issues leave her not wanting marriage. Amid Amon trying to convince Brie to marry him, her mother Rashawnda is hiding a secret man from her. As if enough isn’t going on, an old situation Amon and Gee handled has popped back up.
Amon was so patient with Brie. Even though he wanted her to be his wife, he understood her reservations and bever made her feel bad about them. Brie was always his number one priority, and she was calling her man, no matter what. The love story was there but so was the drama. From police corruption to past deeds resurfacing and Brie’s momma’s antics, there was a lot going on. This was a good follow up and it was good to see how Gee and Rhian were making out.
If you loved One Eighty, then One Eighty Too is a must because Amon and Brie’s love story just took everything to the next level! 😍 Amon has been ready for marriage since Vegas, but Brie? Not so much. Her parents’ divorce has her second-guessing forever, and honestly, who can blame her? But let me tell you, the romance between these two is exquisite.
Brie definitely gave ride or die in this one, while Amon handled business like the king he is from start to finish. Their relationship was a whole new level of deep, with both of them opening up about their pasts. The vulnerability? Whew, it made their connection even hotter. 💥
Amon loved Brie unapologetically, flaws and all, and seeing that kind of love on the page? A whole vibe. 🙌🏾 Can we talk about the fact that we didn’t stray too far from Rhian and Gideon? I fell in love with them in the first book, and I’m glad they got their moments here too.
One Eighty Too was everything—transparency, growth, and a happily ever after that Brie and Amon truly deserved. Amon and Gideon’s bromance also made perfect sense because both men handle their business! 💯
If you haven’t already read One Eighty and One Eighty Too, you’re missing out. This is a 10/10 highly recommend kind of love story!
I truly loved One Eighty, but this right here was next level! I kept thinking there was no was way this could be as good as the first book. I was definitely mistaken. I chuckled when Brie and Amon met in the first book and wonder how their love story would be . All I can say is Better than I imagined. Amon definitely didn’t play when it came to Bri. He was her friend, lover and protector and didn’t have a problem eliminating anything or anyone who caused her hurt or harm. I loved the way he loved her.
This story’s suspense plot had me sitting on the edge of my seat and drinking Wine wondering how it was going to be resolved. It really was a true nail biter..not to mention the mystery behind the bottle of beer in Brie’s mom’s refrigerator 🥲 I was a little surprised at the hard line she drew in the sand once she found out the reason it was there 💔.
Bri taught me a new saying and I laughed out loud because she was absolutely right when she said “ Rain is always wet “. I hope you don’t mind Ms. Charity, but I plan on using that one myself. 😊 Great read Charity Shane ! I. Eagerly waiting for the next read ❤️
Yup I read this book in less than 24 hours like I knew I would. Book 2 did not disappoint! I am so happy that Amon and Brie got there happily ever after. They both had their own traumas but they found a way to overcome them and hold on to true love. I just love this book so much. Amon is a guy with such a hard exterior but he saves the best of himself all for Brie and Brie alone. I love how loyal and protective he is over her. This was just an overall great read… to top it off there were a few characters that I left wanting to know more about like their lawyers the Allen brothers Miles and Bryce. You know an author is good when you not only are interested in the main characters but also the side characters as well ….
This book is on my 10 before the end of the year and I am so happy that this book made the list. I liked Amon and Brie relationship. Amon was not playing about his feelings towards Brie throughout the book. The relationship he had with Brie’s mom warmed my heart especially with his mom mental health. Brie’s father was dead wrong for leaving her the way that he did. I also do not agree with Brie mom for taking that man back and expecting her daughter to get over it. I love the fact that Brie got to express herself to her father and they had a real conversation about his decision to leave the family. I was so happy that Brie decided to take her relationship to Amon to the next level. Overall I liked this book and I will be reading more books by Charity Shane’
My girl did it again. I love this story just as much as I loved 180. It was so relatable. I love reading about black men who love their black women fiercely. Amon was all about Brie and she was all about him. I love the way they loved and supported each other. I also loved how their families stuck by them. Charity showed what brotherhood, sisterhood, friendship and family really looks like within the pages of these two books. I wish I could give it more than 5 Stars!!! Well done Charity ❤️
Great read loved loved everything about Amon. He was literally everything.. The way he loved Brie was amazing. His childhood was sad and I’m glad he found happiness not only with Brie but with the Powers as well. I felt like Brie mom was stupid. It didn’t matter if they were young, Bernard left them high and dry. They struggled and she almost lost everything. Ain’t no way in hell I’d take him back. I’m actually happy that Brie stood on business with her feelings towards him.
4 stars even! Plus size representation AND she's Black! I ate that shit up! This is one of the few times that I can confidently say I wish a book was longer. I loved how Amon loved and showed his love, but more importantly, I saw a lot of myself in Brie and that is so very rare when reading. I loved how she loved him and they supported each other when the other needed it most. I think Amon stole my heart in more ways than one and he is definitely my new favorite book boyfriend!
4/5 — Amon loved my girl Brie down. He repeatedly reminds us that he will not play behind her and his patience was everything. He wanted nothing more than to give her the world. It was great to witness their love bloom. Brie had childhood trauma from her father — glad she didn’t make his reunion easy. — Loved the updates on Gideon and Rhian, especially meeting Giana. Brie’s mom upset me letting Bernard play in her face like that, but whatever.
Beautiful follow up to the 1st book of this series!!!…I loved Amon and Brie!!!… Seems everyone was living in bliss and having fun while doing so!!!… Alicia made sure she disappeared like she said she would!!!…😂😂😂
Brie and Amon's story is cute, you're introduced to them in book one and slowly get to watch their relationship begin. The men in these books fall hard and fast! Amon did not play about his Brie. He knew she was the one from the beginning, tho she wasn't keen to getting married due to past trauma she later realized that exactly what she wanted. While having to deal with the pains of her trauma he never gave up on her. Which spoke volumes about him👏🏽
Okay since I found Charity Shané’s work I’ve lowkey been obsessed. From wanting to move to Crescent Falls all the way down wanting to marry one of these fictional men. Now for One Eighty Too it hit me in my heart. Being closed off to certain ideas of your life due to past traumas can truly gender you. But that big Joker we call forgiveness has the power to change that tune. Now do I w
