Pickled Sorcerers and Demonsis the highly anticipated conclusion to Walter Farmfound’s heartwarming, riotous story, and it has
Will Walter ever be able to unlock the Wild Magic trapped in his head without actually losing his mind, and quite possibly everything it’s attached to?
Will the tyro ever manage to locate and then retrieve the prophesised magical artifact he was tasked to find by his Master, Senior Wizard Marlyn, in Witches and Quests?
Will the beleaguered wizard’s apprentice be forced to swallow his fear of alcohol and swallow something that’s very nearly one hundred percent proof? If so, will he then still be able to stand up, focus on anything more than an arm's length away and single-handedly save everyone from the huge armies of Hellves and Sea Trolls converging on the city of Vikksaporubb?
What will happen when Walter finally confronts one very angry sorcerer, a completely crazy duck and her wierdly omnipotent offspring?
Who, or what is the mysterious voice in Walter’s head and what does it really want?
And will Walter ever be strong enough to return home and right the wrongs and, specifically, the wrongdoers of his troubled past?
Sorcerers and Demons sets out to resolve many of these questions, but it may also pose several more of its own.
The breakneck speed and eye-opening bombshells of the final Pickled Magic book will leave the reader completely breathless in this laugh-out-loud incredible finale.
Sorcerers and Demons undeniably contains more corn than Kansas. It also has more jokes, shocks, belly laughs and unexpected whetherlations that it will undoubtedly be the creator of an impressive army of very happy, red-eyed bibliophilic insomniacs.
It is very nearly the length of two normal books – hence the price of the paperback version, which is unfortunately out of the author’s control – but it is also Richard’s favourite book of the Pickled Magic Trilogy and at this moment in time he doesn’t feel it should be divided further.
At first glance it may appear these books are simply about unlocking, and then utilising magic to take revenge; but they are concerned with so, so much more than something as mundane as payback. They are dedicated to, and written for, all the bullied in our world; but are also about the healing power of laughter, of hope, love and of surprising friendships.
