Trouble Brewing: A brewery murder mystery
DI Diane Rothwell is on a training course for potential chief inspectors and is asked to look at a historic case. It involves the abduction of Roger, the three-week-old son of Sir Charles and Lady Agatha Hanson, part of the Hanson brewing dynasty.
Back in Chesterfield, Diane’s team is investigating the identity of a woman’s skeleton unearthed during the demolition of a town centre pub. Although these two cases are not connected, she soon discovers that they have more in common than she originally thought. This becomes clear after an unexpected turn of events forces her to reopen the Hanson baby kidnapping case. Was the conclusion of the original investigation correct? Also, who is the dead woman in the pub cellar and who killed her?
