4.5/5 - the final book of the Gold Weaver trilogy. Picking up right after book 2 - Ruskin has disappeared mid battle with the evil queen Evanthe. Eleanor, now desperate to find him, is searching through the Seelie kingdom and even into the Unseelie lands as well, all while being chased by soldiers. Eventually they find Ruskin in a portal land in between - kind of like Limbo. But something seems off - he no longer has his memories. Ella is also changed from her time in between. Now seeking refuge in the Unseelie court, they face unknown enemies and challenges. All the while, war continues to brew between the human - seelie - Unseelie kingdoms. This was such a good trilogy for a debut author, the writing is excellent, good spice but not to excess, lots of action. A great conclusion to the series.
Loved mostly everything about it until the last 100 pages. The fmc really ruined this series for me.
She annoyed me more in this book than any other
. anytime anything happened that had a positive impact she always found a way to feel negative about it or see a negative outcome or really just make up something negative.
With only 95 pages left, she tells Ruskin she loves him but she isn’t sure she can see herself by his side when the final day of life comes. She doesn’t know what her limit with his darkness is. And if she can live with it.
This really ended up ruining the entire series for me.
If She doesn’t love rus unconditionally by now, if he hasn’t proven himself to her yet, then nothing in the next 95 pages is going to convince me she is worthy of their bond and of his love.
I just wanted this book to end. Even before it got ruined for me and I still loved everything about it, it just felt like a lot of pointless plot points that didn’t need to happen and that didn’t push the plot forward.
What was the point of the game and winning the kings council seat. That seemed like a huge deal for a good chunk of the book but then was just faded to black after. It was told to us repeatedly how important it was, so much so that when she’s stabbed through her organs she pushes on bc if they don’t get that council members chair, and get a voice with the king, absolutely everything is over.
Then it’s literally never brought up again, we see nothing of what came of her winning. No scenes of them gathering as council and seeing the gain they got from that. Other than her seconding a weird king justice act none of that council stuff mattered and was completely useless to the plot but took up chapters and chapters extending the story way beyond its need. Considering how utterly rushed the end was. This really was a problem for me.
Mostly everything that happened in the unseelie court was actually a waste of time and felt like filler, all that and all the king needed was to see his niece killed by the seelie queen to believe she’s was as bad as they said. So literally nothing that happened was anything but filler.
RUSHING THROUGH THE WEDDING??? How could you.
I never felt like I was in the story, I was always very aware that I was a bystander watching on. But it’s a debut series and I just know this author is going to be phenomenal. With a little more practice she’s gonna really take off and I can’t wait to read more from her.

Everyone has finally stopped being hypocrites and are on the same page, even with a bout of memory loss for one character. Memory loss is one of my least favorite tropes, but this time it at least didn’t hinder the story. But it also didn’t add anything since he’s basically the same just calmer. The ending was also a little anti-climactic and I think pacing suffered. Honestly book two and three could have been edited down and turned into one book to fix pacing issues. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for this, but it was just so boring sometimes I felt myself skimming!
🌶️: 3/5
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Overall an pretty good ending to the story. The ending did feel a little rushed but I'm complaining about it. The prophecy situation was super anticlimactic and I didn't really enjoy it. The twist at the beginning was really unexpected and that was what kept me reading the book because I wanted to see how they would navigate that particular wrinkle. One thing that I noticed about this author is that she seems to really like killing some of out my favorite characters. Which is not the issue that I have. I think there is great power in killing off characters that are beloved because it can give the other characters in the book motivation and become a rallying point for them. The issue that I have is that their deaths are very fast and thus don't hold the emotional value that they need to. Overall, better series that I expected but not the best.
3.25! more riviting than i thought it would be - forgot about all the characters since it's been so long since i read the last one & i wish there was slightly more romance pockets. however, i adore this main character.
4.25 stars for a thrilling and adventure-filled finale to this very fun Rumplestiltskin meets Beauty and the Beast trilogy!
We left off with Eleanor and Destan en route to the Unseelie Kingdom, Ruskin locked in a battle with his wicked mother to buy them time, and everything seemingly falling apart. Luckily, this story picks up about a second after the last one ended- and not a moment too soon!! We get thrust with all of our friends, old and new, as our heroes try to save the Seeling Kingdom from fully falling victim to Evanthe's cold iron curse. Through ups and downs, new creatures, old enemies, faerie traditions, and some magical upgrades, this book is a wild ride from start to finish!
Eleanor continues to grow into her magic, grow into her importance for the kingdom, and grow into love with her naminai. Ruskin learns to embrace both the Seelie and Unseelie sides of himself, letting them work together to keep himself and his loved ones safe and free. Destan continues to flirt with the world, dress impeccably, and also surprise us with a few new tricks up his sleeve. We meet new friends in both courts, including some VERY fun creatures, and its like the avengers were called to assemble in the great battle!
I adored this trilogy- it was fun, it was fresh, the magic of the gold weaver was super cool, it hit some of those romantasy highs while not making it just a tropey book. If Zara Storm writes more, I am here for it!!
Thank you so much to Zara Storm and Netgalley for a chance to read this in exchange for an honest review!
As far as 3rd books go, this is pretty middling. It felt like the first two books processed through the main conflicts and then book three retconned that development and did it over again. As far as the twists go, this was fairly weak. The concept of MMC losing his memories was shoe-horned at best and just served to undo the progress FMC made in the earlier books and teach her the same lesson a second time. The idea was there and the world was interesting, but it felt like this series was both longer and shorter than it needed to be. Book one was great, I really enjoyed a lot of it, but the series lost some of the spark as it continued on.
Book 3 of the Gold Weaver Series exceeded my expectations. The intense opening caught me off guard, igniting my curiosity about Ruskin's journey. Eleanor's growth was fascinating, and witnessing Ruskin's shift from a cold-hearted figure to a loving partner was a joy. Their love triumphed over significant challenges, and I was truly moved by their unique connection.
While this installment may lack the heat of the first book or the tension of the second, I still found it immensely enjoyable.
The trilogy wrapped up beautifully, leaving a profound impression.
A heartfelt thank you to Zara Storm for the ARC opportunity; I relished every moment of this series.
Enjoyed the culmination to this series. Watching Eleanor grow into her powers and gain confidence was empowering. I also enjoyed watching the bond between Ruskin and Eleanor blossom.
The game Eleanor played to win a spot on the council was also a fun version of a trail of sorts.
Some parts of the book felt like the pacing was too slow, but I still enjoyed the time with the characters.
A great ending to a fantastic series. This concluding novel was filled with action, adventure and romance. All loose ends were tied and a happily ever after achieved. Well worth reading this series.
alrighty, i did quite like this one at first. decent enough world building, though the magic system is a little underdeveloped. some of the pacing is a little off and the development of the romance is a little hurried but not so much as to be unbelievable. but i realised when eleanor tells ruskin that he can’t use the monarch door, because evanthe is again high queen, that we have one big gaping fucking plot hole. (spoilers ahead.)
when ruskin was king he used his true name to open the door, and eleanor was also able to do this. it stands to reason that it *could* now be evanthe’s true name that is now used to open the door, which would of course mean that they would need to know it—but ruskin does. sure, they never witnessed her fully inscribe it during her first attempt to reinstate herself as monarch, but he states himself that he had to remove her true name from the founding stone to transfer the crown to himself following her attack. i’m hesitant to believe that he managed to achieve this feat without reading the damn thing.
regardless of whether her true name could be used to open that gate, it’s been widely established that it can be used to control her. the book clearly establishes that the only reason one would be unable to use another’s true name against them is if they were present for either the naming ceremony or otherwise retrieving the true name of an individual, which i sincerely doubt would be the case for ruskin. so this whole time we could have just said. hey man. fuckin stop it. there’s no lore that says a fae’s true name cannot be used in a manner that causes them harm, or anything else that would actually explain this glaring oversight, and i find it quite hard to believe that ruskin would have forgotten it.
i may be missing something, as it *is* nearly four in the morning as i am writing this, but i don’t think that i am.
so, anyways. the fact that perhaps half of the second book and the entire third book could have been made entirely redundant by a single encounter did kind of spoil this one for me a little, but oh well. at least i didn’t hate it up until the point at which i was cursed with this realisation.
2.5 stars i guess :/

✦ Book Review: The Realm That Falls to Her ✦ ✦ Author: Zara Storm ✦ Rating: ★★★★☆ / ★★★★★ ✦ Genre: Fantasy Romance ✦ Finished on: 02/24/2025 ❝ The most captivating of the trilogy—while not hauntingly beautiful, it held me in its grip from start to finish❞ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
The conclusion to our series. Here we are with the Realm that Falls to Her the 3rd book of The Gold Weaver Series by Zara Storm.
At the end of book 2 we left Eleanor and Destan on their way to the Unseelie Kingdom, Ruskin was locked away in some room, locked in a battle with his evil mother trying to buy Eleanor and Destan time. Everything was falling apart around them, it seemed.
I loved how this book picked up maybe a minute after book 2 ended, and I wasn't sorry that this was the case. I knew that book had some issues, and I had hoped that Zara could correct those in this book. But, that said, I still loved the story as a whole, and I really didn't want to miss a thing. Honestly, this book didn't pick things up too soon. We were put right back with our friends of old, and we got to meet new friends too. And we got to see our heroes try and save the Seelie Kingdom. They want to try and keep the Kingdom from falling victim from the cold ion curse that Evanthe has unleashed.
The ups, the downs, new creatures, old enemies, faerie traditions, magical upgrades, and the roller-coaster ride this book takes you on are thrilling. It's an emotional ride from start to finish.
Eleanor keeps on growing in her magic, her importance in the kingdom, in her strength, her courage, and her love for her naminai Ruskin.
Ruskin, he learns to embrace both sides of himself, the Seelie and Unseelie, letting both sides flow within him, to flow seamlessly, to keep himself and those he loves and holds dear safe and more than that free.
Destan keeps on flirting with the world, dressing impeccably, and surprises us with a few new tricks that he keeps hidden up his sleeve.
I loved how we got to meet new friends, even in this, the third book. And this includes some very fun and interesting creatures, and I love how everyone comes together in the end to fight together to fight in the final battle, all fighting together to fight for the freedom of every one they all love and hold dear and want to see free.
I loved this trilogy, I love Zara Storm. This isn't the first Zara Storm book I've read, and I can say with authority that this isn't going to be the last. The fun, found family, magic, how fresh it was, super cool, the romantasy highs and not so tropy. I loved it. I adored how Zara corrected the mistakes she made in book 2 and fixed them in book 3.
Warning, this review contains spoilers. Nice finish to the series. I get my HEA at the end which is always a perfect ending. Eleanor looses Ruskin in the Interra. The in between realm with monsters and a possibility of being trapped forever. Not when Eleanor is your love and your best friend is Destin! Eleanor and Destin work together to save Ruskin and bring him back from Interra. But there is a price! Interra will take something from you and gift you something in return and it’s different for everyone. For Ruskin, it’s his memories, of Eleanor, Dustin, everyone he has ever met in his life is just… gone. For Eleanor it’s her human looks. As time passes, she begins to look more Fae like but not, she is now somewhere in between. What cannot be lost is their fated connection and love for each other. While working to get his memories back, Ruskin and Eleanor must navigate the treacherous courts that contain those only out for themselves and those hostile to Ruskin, Eleanor and Destin, and Ruskin’s mother (the mad queen) who is trying to destroy everything no matter who they are. The threesome have to gain allies and friends while convincing them that they must work together before it’s too late to take the mad queen down and everything and everyone is lost. New friendships are gained and some are sadly lost in a war with a crazy queen and human king. Lots going on here as there are several things going on at once and one bad thing leads to another. There was even some surprising scenarios that conveniently got rid of extra foes in one fell swoop and then the story moves back to the main theme, take down the mad queen. Taking everything into account, this could have been 2 books, but I’m glad it wasn’t 🙂
I’m blown away with the concluding book from this series! The story of Eleanor and Ruskin wraps up in this book, and the amount of uncertainty surrounding what will happen with their relationship, the kingdoms of Faerie, and basically the rest of the world, make this book an incredible page turner. The pacing was great. At the beginning we are hit with panic and then a gut-punching sadness that feels almost unbearable. I love how through the uncertainty, Ella never gives up and keeps pushing forward to do what is best for Seelie. I loved the “other” side of Ruskin, and really enjoyed how he adopted that part of himself through everything. He really grew on me and burrowed himself into my heart in this book, and I was so glad to see it. The pacing is just perfect, and the twists and turns aren’t we predictable. I was holding my breath through several moments! I loved the character relationship building, and the growth from the characters (or decline in character, depending). Ella starts reverting to her untrusting, and almost panicking, self, a few times, but holds it together enough to anchor herself and lean on Ruskin. I was glad to see this change instead of her running and fighting with him, retreating into herself or pushing him away. It was a good growth.
The ominous predictions from Janor really threw me off guard and made me so nervous!
Overall, get ready for true love, heartbreak, bravery, friendships, and determination, all while there is non-stop action. Plus, the spice is a nice bonus to the storyline!
Very well done!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"a blade can be a weapon, sure, but it can also be used to cut the bindings that hold people back. It can also be used to set them free"
5/⭐ 3/🌶️
3th book in the series the gold weaver And it is the only one of the series i have read yet but the other 2 will be on my list ! It is doable to read it without the others but you miss a little bit of context/history Netgalley ARC
What i loved:
-The writing style- I have been reading hours at a time not even noticing the time passing I got so into the story that the rest of the world disappeared The story is easy to follow even when you miss 2 books like me There is enough detail to build myself and it isn't a slow book like for example lotr
-The characters- But Ella and Rus are complex characters Whit fears that fit their story With a love that is ao beautifully written that it makes sense
-the love story - Some love stories are not convincing here although we speak about the "mate" connection like in many other cases it fits the story It's not only a feeling it really is a connection they can use that adds to the story
What i didn't love:
Interra For me it is difficult to understand the interra world, the gifts it gives and elements it takes I don't understand why
But overall amazing story Will need to read 1and 2 also and reread 3 after But it is gonna be so worth it !
What a conclusion! We start off Book 3 of the Gold Weaver series immediately where Book 2 left off, Destan and Ella are making their way discreetly to the Unseelie kingdom, seeking asylum from Ruskin's crazy mother. Ruskin and Evanthe are missing after a huge battle, and Ella can't shake the feeling through her bond with Rus that something is wrong. And right she was, turns out Ruskin no longer has memories but still feels their bond, thank goodness.
Their journey to find allies in the Unseelie kingdom paid off, after a grueling sports game (which was a fun little bit of information) and some run ins with horrible High Fae. Ruskin's uncle came to his senses and really turned the tide for Eleanor and her friends. It was such an amazing journey, seeing Ella strengthen more of her magic, and fight for Ruskin's memories, and build relations with people that she otherwise would have thought to be enemies. I loved the teamwork and comradery that you see in the end battle between Seelie and Unseelie, it was amazing to see that growth throughout this final book.
Overall, I thought this book was a wonderful conclusion. It answered all my questions, it gave us more details on the world of Faerie, and there was a beautiful love story with magic and some really cool creatures thrown in. It even had a happy ending, which is what all fairytales are known for. 4.5/5⭐
The final installment in the Gold Weaver trilogy proved to be full of action and revealed many of surprises along the way. I enjoyed the books in this trilogy, and found that the final book was a fitting way to conclude the series. I wasn’t particularly blown away by some of the events that took place, nor was I disappointed, which is what has left me to rate this installment as a 3.5 ✨
Eleanor was much easier to stomach in this book, and definitely felt less “wishy-washy” than she did in the two previous installments. She was much more likable, although she still isn’t one of my favorite FMCs. Ruskin, of course, is still amazing and I absolutely love his devotion to Eleanor, even during that wonky memory-loss phase 🫣
Despite some of my qualms about Eleanor and her character development throughout the series, I still found that the storyline and the various aspects of the plot were quite unique to the world of romantasy 🌎 I loved so many of these details, like Eleanor becoming fae-like, but not fae entirely, the shock of Ruskin’s mother’s changes, and a kind of magic that deals with metal. All of these elements really did come together to create such an incredible story.
Definitely would recommend taking a peek at this series if you haven’t already 👀

I have enjoyed this series overall and although this book didn't grip me as much as the first one, the narration was still engaging and it was a good listen. I was surprised that Ella and Ruskin overcame the first couple of obstacles relatively quickly (finding Ruskin in Interra and then the memory loss). I loved Ruskin's initial introduction in book one and would have enjoyed seeing more of that side of him as well as seeing him fall in love with Ella again. The bond seemed to do that for him though and I never really felt that they were truly apart for long.
There was still plenty of things I enjoyed like the brutal fae version of lacrosse, Parsley and then the King's Justice later on. I actually really liked the concept of healing any battle scars from the Justice as once the matter was dealt with everyone moved on. Although I'm still not over Halima I did appreciate all the extra Destan though as he is so much fun.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
This book was a beautiful ending to a series. I ADORE the characters, the world, everything.
The last book ended on a cliffhanger, where our fave Ruskin just vanished. Eleanor and Destan are escaping the Wild Hunt. Book 3 picks up immediately where book 2 left off, we get action from the first page. What better way to hook a reader? Our favorite characters picked up their hilarious banter and kept it going throughout all the things thrown at them. And if we’re being real, I can’t really connect if the banter isn’t there. Eleanor finds Ruskin and we’re thrown through the spinner with the big twist in the beginning.
Eleanor is the most caring and patient person ever. She fights battles that aren’t hers and works on relationships that seem doomed. Seeing a new side of Ruskin was really fun, and the way he approached their bond. We got to see more of the Unseelie court, and a better look into the politics they used there compared to the Seelie court. The character development was beautiful, we even got to see it in the supporting characters.
The pacing in this was well done for a final book. There was never a dull moment. I devoured this book because it kept me wanting more. This book held true “she/he would kill for him/her”. The battles had me on the edge of my seat. The ending was full circle and it just made me so happy. I cannot recommend this series anymore. The Gold Weaver will always hold a special place in my heart.
”You once said my memories are what make me, me. But I have a handful of things that survived Interra—and they all pale in comparison to you, Eleanor. You are what makes me who I am. My tether in a realm where I’m otherwise adrift.”
”I don’t need to remember anything to look at you now and know that if I lost you, there’d be no light left in this world for me.”*
”The idea is to be as inconspicuous as possible. Something tells me riding into the kingdom on a bear might defeat the purpose”*
”I’m asking because I love you, Ella, so deeply, so utterly, that I no longer make any sense without you”
“If our names didn’t match, I’d rewrite the stars myself if that was what it took to be the one by your side. What I feel for you is stronger than destiny and truer than anything the stars could write out.”
“A blade can be a weapon, sure, but it can also be used to cut the bindings that hold people back. It can also be used to set them free.”
The Realm That Falls To Her- Zara Storm 5✨ The 3rd and I think final book in The Gold Weaver series. As with book 1 and 2 I absolutely loved every second of it. I think one of my favourite parts of this book was the game bastet Ella played, I can’t quite put my finger on why I loved it so much, maybe it was because we got a bit of a break from the whole saving the realm business. It was fun, Ella made new friends and it was just a fun addition to the story! I have loved following Ella and watch her grow into her powers, grow as a person and I loved watching Ella and Ruskins relationship grow and bloom into a beautiful thing. The ending was perfect, I feel like all the questions were answered and they got the HEA they deserved. I highly recommend you check out this book if you like, 🧪Rumpelstiltskin re-telling 🧪Seelie and Unseelie 🧪Curses 🧪Magical powers 🧪Memory loss 🧪Soulmates 🧪Found family 🧪Final battle 🧪HEA 🧪Enemies to lovers This series will stay with me for a long time, I am so grateful I got the chance to read these books. Huge thanks to NetGalley, Zara and Relay Publishing for this ARC, I am leaving this review voluntarily💕
And thus I have reached the end… and there was so much more Destan!!!!! Yay!!!! And the fae boy couldn’t get any better… and yes, he still steals scenes all over the place. ❤️
Love that fae.
So Ruskin and Eleanor bring it home for the win and peace is slowly weaving its spell through both the Seelie and Unseelie kingdoms as well in (we presume) the human kingdom. (More yays!)
I love how much we got from everyone- the bastet game was amazing. Ruskin and Eleanor once again find a way to triumph against their own trials before taking on the kingdoms at large. Every battle was perilous but the rewards to come made it well worth it.
I also loved we spend a lot more time back in the Unseelie kingdom, so we got to learn more about them and their ways and get to realize they aren’t all animalistic beasties out for blood. In fact, you come to really enjoy some of them…
And Parsley! ❤️❤️❤️ How many hearts am I allowed for an antlered battle bear? It doesn’t matter because I can’t be the only one chucking hearts at that mound of fur.
Just read it- if you’re reading this then odds are you’ve read at least book 1 already, so do yourself a favor and just keep reading.
The first book I don’t even remember reading (in my defense I read a disrespectful number of books) and the second one made me want to DNF and rage. I cannot stand can NOT stand a drawn out refusal of fate for no reason than “I just can’t”. It’s forced and boring and overdone. The pacing on the second book about make me want to un alive myself. It was slow, contained too much word padding and I probably skipped more than I read. But this book. Where was THIS author in book 2?? Girl did you get a new editor? Keep them. While a couple places dragged, that can be purely subjective overall this was the fast paced, decently world built romp of FAFO. The ending could have been just a smidge better by including her in the final act and it not just being him but man I devoured this book opposed to force feeding myself book 2. Sure we have some plot holes and a weirdly cobbled and a little lazy MMC change but overall I loved it (This isn’t Grapes and Wrath here guys). Book one??? Book 2: please save me Book 3: Girl if you can keep this up I am a fan
The Realm That Falls to Her is the final book in the Gold Weaver trilogy, and wow, what a ride. We jump right back into the chaos—Eleanor is caught between two realms on the brink of collapse. Her father’s a prisoner in the human kingdom, Ruskin has disappeared into some creepy in-between place, and the fae world is still crumbling under Evanthe’s curse.
This one is fast, dramatic, and full of high-stakes magic. Eleanor’s really come into her own here, fully embracing her powers and stepping into her role as the one who might actually save everyone. And Ruskin… even when he’s not on the page, he’s everywhere. Their connection still hits hard, and when they’re together, it’s even better. Destan also continues to be a scene-stealing menace in the best way.
There’s betrayal, unexpected magic twists, epic battles, and just enough bittersweet at the end to make the happily-ever-after feel earned. Plus, new magical creatures pop up and I was 100% here for them.
Tropes ⭐ Final battle 🔥 Power-up heroine 🖤 Soulmate tension 🌌 Two realms in peril
