I'm not a huge fan of all the duck or the fat used in some recipes, but...... there were a few I made that were really good!

My husband is a huge fan of Elder Scrolls and now we are currently putting post-it notes all over the place. The recipes are well written out and easily understood, with beautiful photos of each dish. The recipes have ratings to let you know how easy to hard they may be to cook and also give approximate times from start to completion. I am looking forward to many of the seafood options, but will avoid the duck. The duck jerky flavors look tasty, but I think I will substitute the duck for beef. Please note, this cookbook would not be a good gift for vegetarians, but those with allergies could easily make recipe substitutions for gluten free or dairy free.

This is a very well produced cookbook. It looks and feels like quality. The photography for all the dishes is spot on and I liked the included information and illustrations pertaining to The Elder Scrolls. I haven't made any of the dishes yet, but after reading through a few, it seems like they should turn out well and taste good. I look forward to trying out some of the dishes (I might edit my review if I try some dishes and find them to be too confusing and/or unappealing). This would be a great cookbook to gift to an Elder Scrolls fan.

I won this wonderful cookbook in a Goodreads Giveaway. I am a devoted Elder Scrolls player and was gifted Vol. 1 years ago so I am thrilled to have Vol. 2 now! It’s wonderful!!! I love the fact there is a story to follow that involves characters and locations game players know and love!! I can wait to start cooking recipes from it!! I love the illustrations as well! So much world building in a cookbook: A++++

It's cute that it was written by the Gourmet, before his...unfortunate and untimely end. The recipes seem interesting but there is some wild (literally) ingredients in here that are very difficult for the average joe that doesn't live in a big city (or a country dweller who doesn't hunt) to obtain. It would have been nice if some alternatives had been suggested for the more niche things, such as boar.

This book is written with passion for both food and gaming. However, one does not need to be a gamer to enjoy the artistic assembly of amazing recipes. The photographs themselves are worthy of framing on any kitchen wall.
