I love this series as it starts out like any other day for the hero Dean and just gets crazy and wild from there. Full of twists, plots, more twists and space ships hunting Dean, and that is just in book 1. I thought it was well written and just sucked me in from the first. I just had to find out who the aliens were and why Dean was spared. Then things get wilder as the story goes and learn more about what is going on and amazed at the trouble Dean and his friends end up in so easy. So easy to get lost in the series as each book just gets better and crazier each time. I loved each one and enjoyed the drama, action, and aliens they meet along the way.

Without a doubt, the The Survivors is my favourite series. I look forward to every episode when it's released.

This long running series is up to number twenty-two now and it's amazing that each book is fresh and unique.

It's fun to read a book where you already know the characters intimately after years of following them grow up, and then their children grow up. Each new episode always adds a few new characters to keep the stories interesting though.

A great price for books 1 to 12 gets someone a nice start on the series.

Looking forward to the next edition.

I thought the first few book were reminiscent of Stargate SG1! What with aliens intent on destroying Earth being stopped by 4 people numerous space battles, invasions etc. And towards the end theres even someone/thing called Ori!. But I found my self drawn in. The central characters are well rounded and the aliens mostly believable. All in all a very easy series to read and I've just brought the next 6 books. So that must say something! Recommended.

A classic of the 21st Century

Reader will become enraptured, page by page, book by book. Well developed and relatable characters as well as intriguing story arc. This series brought me from re-reading Azimov, Clarke, Heinlein, etc. into exploring the incredible, creative and dynamic sci-fi and mystery writers of the 21st century. Mr. Hystad is a leader in this new age.

Outstanding!

What a well written series! The characters were definitely people to love and the plots were just different enough to be invigorating. These books indulged me with laughter and tears. And I liked that the technical stuff was just the right level of challenging. I kind of hate the I've come to the end...but I don't think I have...

Terrific

This was real old style sci-fi fantasy. The stories are well written and full of interesting characters doing amazing things. The only real downside is the cliffhanger end which leaves too many unanswered questions. I’m annoyed that I’ll probably never find out the final outcome. I would take away half a star from the rating if I could for the disappointment

awesome, I couldn’t stop reading

Awesome series, going to get the next one. I love when I can really get into the lives of all the characters. I couldn’t wait for each chapter and book to begin

epic story

Not sure how they did it but this didn’t show up in my read selections so I bought it and immediately started to remember parts but not enough to cause me to stop but it was definitely worth the re- read and now there is more can’t wait.

Wow!

I couldn't put this series down. No distracting plot errors or spelling errors to distract from this non- stop action. Very believable and relatable characters. This author develops the characters flawlessly. I Really hope there is a follow up series.

Awesome. Adventure

The farther I got into the story the more I felt like I knew the characters. Its great for anyone that loves a good sci-fi adventure. I hope there is a book 13 in the works. I'm anxious to see what happens next!

[Chrystal Roe]

Wow

This story starts out pretty intense and doesn't let up. It begins with an invasion from the stars and continues through our own introduction to the people's of the universe. It's a truly exciting adventure.

Good read.

It's a story that grabs your attention right from the start. Can't wait to read more. Was sad that we lost some character, but that makes it more real.

Amazing

Earth is invaded and through these series of books your mind will be ened to new possibilities. When enemies join together over common interests you'll find new friends. It was time to open up and see things from other's viewpoint.

Gripping

You have to read this series,I've not read sci fi for years ,,this has given me love of it back ,,it's happy, sad, exciting every emotion you can think of

[Mr G Botting]

Too long

Far too long with too many thin plots to pad out the length. In addition too great a reliance on Superman type escapes along the lines of ' with one bound he was free.

[Joann]

Very good read.

[Carroll L]

so Well!

I never read a story that was so long and yet read so well!! Don’t miss it! You’ll miss a great story!

[Alan Knockwood]

Survivors

Give yourself time and space for this. Fair warning. You are not going to put this. Set down until it is finished.

If we could all behave with kind hearts

The story ran together very well. I can not pick a place or a part that was better than any other. Way to much happened to to many people.

[Ginny]

What a ride

I am going to miss these guys. Even after 12 books I still want more. Where will they go next?

[Vladimir]

A bit naive, but interesting.
