I loved this book so much. I 10/10 recommend. This book was a roller coaster of emotions. Jolie and Adrik relationship gets tested in so many ways. I do recommend reading this book but going back and reading the first book in the series which is called the dark side.

This one is fantastic just like book one. This one definitely had my heart in a chokehold though, very emotional. Its also super suspenseful. I love when a books so good, and youre like its 1:30am but its a good part. I cant put it down. So, you decide okay 30 more mins. Next thing you know its 5 am, and the youre going oh no. This is what happened to me. I kept saying it will hit a spot where I can put it down. It didnt. I forced myself at 5am, after getting emotional. This book is just that good.

Jolies, and Adriks relationship, and those around them will suffer the dire consequences that come with Vincents appearance. This book is intense, emotional, and suspenseful. A great read for any dark romance mafia lover to get lost in after book 1.

To say I couldn't put this sequel down is an understatement. It had so many twists and turns right up until the end. With a nice level of spice to add. It's definitely more of the dark side than book 1, but I am 100% here for it! Cannot wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.

Absolutely obsessed with the Morozov Family!!
This sequel is literally riddled with betrayal, trauma, violence, drama, heartbreak, and unexpected twists! To see Jolie & Adriks romance go through so many ups and downs, was a testament to the physical hold they had on one another. How Jolie stood her ground no matter the circumstances and proved she had a place by his side was a ride. When an unexpected ex comes into the mix, all hell breaks lose just when they think they have it all together. Adriks life quickly falls apart as he loses everything and everyone he loves, becomes imprisoned, and the family's future lies in the balance. Crazy twists, heartbreaking tragedies, and betrayals throw you all around and Jolie & Adrik must go through struggles that are traumatizing to get back to one another. But will Jolies actions be enough for Adrik to forgive her transgressions? Will he overcome his demons? Can he pull the Morozov line back together and to the top and become a boss worthy of the name? Where to begin with this book? I really wasn't sure how I was going to feel when I first started this book. I was excited to continue this series after reading the first book. Once I got into this book, I was hooked. I needed to find out what happened with Jolie and Adrik.
In this book, Jolie and Adrik want nothing, but to be together, but there are people that stand in their way. The first person being Adrik's father, Yakov. Being with an American is not approved of in their family, so Adrik has to make a decision in order to continue his relationship with Jolie. Unfortunately, the decision is made for Adrik after a terrible ending to his birthday.
Jolie still holds a secret from Adrik that a couple of people know now. She needs to find some way to tell Adrik before someone else does, but after his birthday ends in disaster, the decision is handled for her and one of her biggest fears is made a reality.
I loved this book. I went through every emotion while reading their story. My favorite character in this series has been Alexei and his part in this book destroyed me. I won't spoil what happens because that is something you'll have to read for yourself. Jolie really shows how strong she can be in this and she also ends up making a pretty big decision in the end. To be honest, I felt like Jolie was going to do what she did in the end eventually. The real question is can Jolie and Adrik's love overcome all of the hurdles they still have to get through in the coming books?
The only reason I ended up giving this book four stars instead of five is because I felt like the book changes POV too many times throughout a chapter. I felt like the book might have been a little more organized if each chapter was only set in one POV to explain what was going on. Other than that, this book has a lot that happens very early on and it definitely keeps you hooked to see what is going to happen next. I can't wait for the next book to see how their story plays out.

I dont know where to start! I have been so excited for this book since I read book 1. It certainly has not disappointed.
I have experienced so many emotions reading this book. Also…. what a cliff hanger!
This author has written this book so well, it is so hard to put it down. I felt like I was there, in their world. I felt Jolies fear, love and sadness like it was my own.
I cannot wait for book 3!

This was the perfect sequel in the Morozov Mafia series! If you love Mafia stories, grumpy/sunshine dynamics, and forbidden love mixed with plenty of action, you need to add this book to your TBR. The events were gripping and kept me hooked from start to finish! So much action, lies, and so many bitter betrayals. We start where we left off in The Dark Side. Jolie awakes on adriks birthday and in love but in one night everything she knows is stripped away all before she could reveal her betrayal. An unexpected blast from the past shows up and it has a devastating effects.
Speaking of characters, Jolie is still my favourite, I still love her with all my heart, for the same reasons as last time - her strength and openness - but also because of how much stronger she has become, she has more courage and I love it. I of course love Adrik too, I love a good mafia man, and I love how he would do anything to protect the ones he loves.
I was on the edge of my seat unable to stop reading, needing to know what comes next. And then the ending, OMG!!! I need book 3 like yesterday.

Jolie is still protecting Helina from bad people.
She has to survive all that was coming her way.
Adrik will see betrayal and will be in survival mode also. He also had to deal with a lot of pain. Not everyone was who they say they where. I am left with a cliffhanger. I am shocked,omg. I want to know what’s going to happen next . I need book 3

I was hooked from the first page, started reading then all of a sudden it was 3 am. This book is book 2 in the Morozov Series, picks up where the first book left off,Hooked from the beginning. I had this book read in 2 days, it was so good.
Mc Rivera's books are exceptional and grab your attention and keep you hooked. You go through the emotions that Jolie, Alexei & Adrik feel. I can't wait to see what happens with Adrik and Jolie's relationship in the next book and to see if they can overcome all the obstacles.

This was a major emotional roller coaster! Then the cliff hanger at the end makes me want the next one NOW, I couldn’t put it down and only took me so long because of sick kids lol, highly recommend if you like mafia books!!!

Well I saw that going in another direction lol. Starting right from where book one left off, the journey of Jolie and Adrik seemed to be written into a great love story of those from opposite ends of life. However, the twists and turns in this book proved otherwise. And the fight Jolie had to constantly endure showed her strength and growth. But was it all worth it? Did she deserve Adrik in the end? The book was fantastic from start to finish and that ending….did NOT see that coming!!! Excited for the next installment.

Holy smokes!!! This book is everything you want in a mafia romance… drama, suspense, plot twists, angst, and spice.
Jolie really goes through it in this book. She lost a lot of her innocence because she’s exposed to so much. But it doesn’t stop her from protecting Helenia.
Adrik pissed me off. He really made me question his ability to lead a mafia, and I wanted to smack him a dozen times.
And don’t get me started on Alexei… I’m still mad about that.
I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next.

Great book from start to finish!! This book isn't predictable whatsoever. Just when you think 🤔 something will happen you're WRONG!!! One things certainly is clear in book 2, Jolie didn't fully understand who she was getting in bed with. 🫣

This is the second book in the Morozov Mafia series and it was incredible!!
This was a masterpiece that absolutely deserves its 5 star rating. I was hooked from the first page all the way to the last. It has an intricate plot that is filled with violence, mafia, betrayal, lust and so so much more. The characters are well developed and I loved reading about them all again.
Speaking of characters, Jolie is still my favourite, I still love her with all my heart, for the same reasons as last time - her strength and openness - but also because of how much stronger she has become, she has more courage and I love it. I of course love Adrik too, I love a good mafia man, and I love how he would do anything to protect the ones he loves.
The authors writing style is captivating and immersive, I was completely sucked into this world and it didn’t even feel like I was reading. The amount of reactions I had was amazing. I was gasping, sitting up in shock, gobsmacked at one point, frozen in shock in another. Disbelief, relief, happiness, need I say more? I really went through it 😭😂
The twists throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat, the amount of times I thought I predicted something and was wrong is unreal lol. But I love how unpredictable it was, how much I was shocked at the stuff that happened.
Overall, this was an absolute amazing book, I’m so incredibly grateful I got the opportunity to read this as an ARC, and I’m so so excited for the next book! I need it with every fibre of my being but I’m a patient woman, I can wait… I promise 🫣

This one was just as good as the first book in the series! Usually I’m not a fan of third person writing, but the story telling is so good that it doesn’t bother me. You go on a roller coaster ride with Jolie and Adrik, and I never expected it for end the way that it did.

Once again, this author can get you hooked and still plot twist the ending and you never see if coming! The books flow so well, you get engrossed in the story and the characters lives it’s a shock to see the book end. Can’t wait for more!

Well book 2 was amazing and it did NOT disappoint! It was everything I’d hoped for and more. I was happy, sad, horrified, heartbroken, and I cried my eyes out. This was epic, characters the story line just keeps getting better with each book and I’m all for it. Mrs. M.C. Rivera is an amazing author and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!!!! 10/10 highly recommend you put this on your tbr

Jolie the school teacher giving everything up for the mafia boss. Is it love or infatuation that makes her stay? After being captured and holding out hope that Adrik would come back for her, jolie finds out that her secrets are all coming out. Adriks in jail and his life is unraveling around him. Trying to get out to his daughter and Jolie he finds out secrets that will unravel his whole life. M.C. Rivers takes mafia romance and adds just enough violence, spice and love. I love following along with this series. Each book gets more intense after the next leaving you wanting more. Cant wait for the next book to come and find out what happens with all the characters we love.

I hated this book!!! The twist and turns and then the freaking cliff hanger!!!! Ugh!!! CANT WAIT FOR BOOK 3!!! This kept my attention the entire time!! I can't believe all thay happened in such a short time!! I also kinda had a feeling about a certain part and bam proven right towards the end but then cliff hanger!!!

In the 24 hrs it took for me to devour this book i 10/10 recommend!!!! This is book 2 in the Morozov series, and I can't wait to the books that follow.. This book had drama, lies, shootouts, ex lovers popping up, and so much more. My brain was working overtime keeping up, and I loved every minute of it. Please read book 1.. and book 2 and any others that follow you won't be disappointed!!!
