Tara Taylor Quinn was born and raised in Ohio. This book was not a romance. This is about friends who like each other.
This story is about a woman named Iris Shiprock. She shares a spontaneous kiss with her best friend Scott Martin at his sister’s wedding. They have safely remained in the friend zone with each other. They are both confident, independent commitmentphobes
A surfing accident leaves Scott in need of 24/7 care. Iris moves in with Scott. The lingering attraction between them simmers beneath the surface. They end up relying on each other which is hard for Scott. Iris finds that caring for her very stubborn friend is impossible without falling for him.
They never do more than kiss until the end of the book. I only felt that they were friends that liked each other. They never dated each other or anything in this book. Also there weren’t really any spicy moments in this book.

This is book 2 of 2 in Tara Taylor Quinn's series "The Cottages on Ocean Breeze." This is a story of friends-to-lovers. You really need to read book 1 because one story leads to the other. This is a great two-series book.
