I’m a father first, football player second and everything else third.
I’ve worked hard the last three years to create a life of routine and structure for my daughter. I don’t trust easily and I’ve never liked the idea of hiring a stranger to care for cece when I’m away for practice and games. But when I find myself out of options. An unexpected offer comes to the table.
I’ve known summer Kincaid since we were kids. For the last twenty years, she’s been best friends with my sister and a thorn in my side. She’s impulsive, outspoken and a little too sarcastic for my liking. But when I’m put in a position where I need her help, she steps up in ways I never would’ve expected and turns all of my previous grievances against her into things I suddenly admire.
The more time I spend with Summer, the more I realize how much of her confidence is a mask covering a girl who has always felt like she’s hard to love. Yet loving her is becoming one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.
Like an opponent I wasn’t ready for, she blindsided me and disrupted my whole playbook.

Single grumpy dad, that is also a football player…yes please. I was so excited to hear when Chase was going to be the next to get a story in the Erin’s Out of Bounds series and she did not disappoint. I absolutely devoured this one.
Gonna keep this short and sweet as I don’t want to give too much away. But absolutely loved Summer! She is the friend everyone wants to have. She will literally do anything for you, which is how she ends up watching Chase’s little girl, CeCe. I was rooting for her the whole time with Chase and I was so happy to see her finally knock down some of his walls. And I cannot forget to mention her relationship with CeCe…it was so stinkin’ cute. Oh Chase…how I love me a grumpy single dad that can turn into a frickin’ daddy. IYKYK. Once he opened up to Summer and realized what he could have he became a man obsessed. And the scene towards the end had me in literal tears…how dare you make me emotional ERIN! These two were absolutely meant for one another. I loved their banter and they complimented each other perfectly. I don’t know how any one else will top this couple for me in this series.
I have loved watching Erin grow as an author, each book keeps getting better and better. Her story telling, character development, banter, spice has all grown so much that she has become a must read author for me. I am so exited to see what is next. Thank you for the eARC.

The moment I picked up Line of Scrimmage and met Chase and Summer, I knew they were end game and couldn't wait for their book. And let me tell you something, Chase and Summer’s book was well worth the wait! This book had me blushing, kicking my feet and giggling like a little school girl!
Chase is a pro football player and Summer's best friends older brother that she has been crushing on for almost two decades. She's never hid her crush. She openly flirts with Chase. And Chase has always acted like she annoyed him until he needed help with his daughter and who was there to help him? Summer. When Chase finally admitted that he finally sees Summer, he falls so damn hard and I was living for every single moment of it.
I have to say, I resonated with and saw a lot of myself in Summer. I loved her fun personality. I loved how she had no problem watching Chase squirm as she openly flirted with him. She was honestly exactly what Chase needed. Chase needed someone to bring a zest to his life and she definitely brought color to Chase and CeCe's life.
I love all of the boys in the Out of Bounds series but I have to say, Chase definitely has a special spot in my heart. He has been through a lot and I loved seeing him break down his walls for himself and his daughter. You really see his struggles being a single parent and how he takes on all the stress. And like I mentioned before, Summer can in and told him every day that he's doing an amazing job and it's what he needed to hear. Now can we talk about how cute CeCe is! She was the light of this story. Her love for her daddy was the cutest this ever.
Ugh Erin, I just want to say, thank you for finally giving us Chase and Summer! It was everything and wanted and so much more! So if you are looking for a single dad football romance, The Playbook is for you! Add it to your TBR today and you can thank me later!
You should most definitely read this book if you like: - Pro Football Romance - Single Dad - Childhood Friends to Lovers - Best Friend's Brother - She Falls First/She's Been Crushing on Him for Years - Close Proximity

Rating: 9/10⭐️ Spice: 3/5🌶 Tropes: grumpy/sunshine; sports; single dad; opposites attract Favorite Quote:"The flip between naughty Daddy Chase and put together Dad Chase is something he has quickly mastered."
This story follows Summer, Chase & his daughter CeCe. Chase is a NFL player in need of a nanny to help watch CeCe when he is away at practice & games, this is where an unexpected offer for Summer to become CeCe's babysitter comes in.
ok, i love this one SO MUCH. I'm just a sucker for a grumpy single dad.. there is just something about them being total grumps but all soft and sweet for their little girl and that my friends WAS CHASE. & summer truly lived up to her name... she was all sunshine and fire like Summer (did that work? idk, we're going with it)
something I loved SO much about Summer was how confident she was but also how vulnerable she was about some insecurities she has.... i feel like no matter how much you love yourself and your body there are still moments of insecurity and it was showcased SO WELL here. Summer truly helped Chase get out of his shell and start living instead of just managing.
there were so many sweet and STEAMY moments in this book and I have SO MANY highlights... dare i say this is my fave of the series... i said what i said
I have been waiting for Chase and Summer's story since book one 🤭 and it did not disappoint!
Is there anything better than a grumpy single dad but is a big softie for his girl?! This is the only way I can think of to describe Chase. I love him 😍 and our little ray of sunshine that is Summer, really lives up to her name.
Chase is juggling life as a single parent and being an NFL player. His sister helps him out sometimes but offers the help of her bestie, Summer. Chase and Summer have known each other for a long time and she's always had the biggest crush on him. Spending more time together due to her helping with CeCe, Chase starts to notice Summer in a different light 🤭😍
This is full of alot of sweet and steamy moments between them and I loved it from the start. Loved seeing everyone from the previous books too.
I have been patiently waiting for Chase & Summer’s book and it was everything I knew it would be.
Chase Hunt is the perfect single daddy. After learning he was going to be a father unexpectedly- Chase changed his life and ways for the benefit of his daughter CeCe. When her mother decides she doesn’t want to be in their lives Chase is left to juggle a child, an NFL career & daily life on his own.
Enter the sassy, confident and ever present Summer Kincaid- his little sister’s best friend who he never saw in anyway but an annoying one. Summer has never shied away from letting the world know about her crush on Chase. She is the type of friend everyone wants, kind, loyal, fun and selfless almost to a fault. So it’s no surprise when Summer starts helping Chase with CeCe. But when they find themselves together one night during a storm things begin to change.
I loved how unapologetically herself Summer was & how stuck in his ways Chase was…their personalities complimented each other so well. Their banter was amazing & him calling her Kincaid did things to me- it just worked. The bond Summer shared with CeCe was so special. Chase as a dad just melted my heart, the braids 🥹. This is the epitome of a feel good read and I truly loved it so much! 🩷
I have been waiting for Summer and Chase’s story from the very beginning and it lived up to everything I hoped it would be 🥺
This book has everything you would want in a cute, sports romance- and to make it even better, the two books in the series before this one are just as good! Erin has knocked it out of the park with these stories so far- I’m so excited to see what she comes up next 🤍

Chase, a football player and single dad whose world revolves around his daughter, CeCe, while he navigates the pressures of the football season. His sister, struggling with infertility, asks her best friend of 20+ years to help babysit for Chase on days she unable to. Chase has known summer just as long but never looked beyond her being anything more then his sisters best friend who had a major crush on him. As they spend more time together, he discovers maybe he was missing something. Maybe he was overlooking Summer all along maybe she’s not that annoying best friend after all maybe she just happens to hold a piece of chase’s heart and her love for his daughter is more than he could ever ask for. A shared kiss during a storm reveals what he’s been missing. The slow-burn turns into a passionate romance, as Chase realizes that his sister’s best friend might be exactly what he and his daughter need.
Chase is very closed off and doesn’t trust most people he feels like after Cece‘s mom walked out on her. He can’t let her feel like he doesn’t want her either so he bottles up his life and puts himself on the back burner. Summer is the perfect person to bring him back to the surface to help him find himself to make him not only a better person a better brother, a better friend and a better father. He only regrets he would have open his eyes sooner and seen how perfect she is for him.
Summer a girl who on the outside is confident, strong outspoken, and doesn’t let anything hold her back secretly is a girl who feels like she’s too much for everybody. She’s gone from relationship to relationship to only be told to dim her light that she talks too much, or she’s a little too loud alittle to opinionated. When Summer is asked to help watch Cece, there’s no question in her mind. It’s a yes she loves that little girl like it’s her own because no matter how many years go by her heart has always belong to Chase, so it belonging to his daughter is a no-brainer. It’s only to her surprise that as Chase gets to know her on a different aspect that he actually falls in love with her and they started a relationship that only 16-year-old summer could dream of.
A touching mix of family, romance, and heartfelt moments, *The Playbook* delivers plenty of spice and emotional depth.
Summer and Chase’s friends to lovers romance was so damn sweet and packed with hilarious banter that put an endless smile on my face. You could cut the tension with a knife when these two were in a room together and it resulted in some pretty hot moments. Chase was a DADDY in the bedroom and I was here for it. I absolutely LIVE for a “tell me to stop” moment, and squealed like a little girl when I saw those four words on the page.
I adored Summer and CeCe’s relationship, and also enjoyed getting to see the rest of the crew as well. The ending left me foaming at the mouth for Liam’s book - I have a feeling Demi is going to chew him up and spit him out.
I was left a little underwhelmed with this book. So I recently went back and looked at my review of Line of Scrimmage and The End Zone. I didn't give super high ratings on those books (although, after rereading them, I did increase each by 1 extra star) because I wanted to leave room for improvement. I like Erin MacKenzie storytelling; I just think that she needed some fine-tuning on her execution. However, I was excited for the couples. I loved Abby and Ford and how it was instalove for him the moment he saw Abby. Nate and Mia...man, do I love a friends-to-lovers story and I had been waiting for them to get together. Summer and Chase...what could go wrong? It's childhood crush-to-lover, friends-to-lovers, best friends-brother romance, and we were throwing in a single-dad trope. I was counting down the days until the third book was released.
The Playbook fell a little short of my expectations. Don't get me wrong. I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone who started the series to continue, but I didn't feel the passion between Summer and Chase. The issues I had with the first two books were still there although they were better. It felt like some, if not almost all, of the chapters just ended abruptly. A publishing issue I have is the gaps within a chapter. What I mean by this is the transitions within the same chapter. When there is a change of timeline or scenery in a chapter, normally, there should be a space between paragraphs in the book to indicate to the reader that a change is coming, but we are still with the same PoV of a character or within the same plot line. However, not all of those changes are clearly indicated in the book. There are some parts where time passes from one scene to another, and there is just a continuation in the paragraphs of the text, and there are other changes where there is a separation from the paragraphs to let us know that we are in a different setting or with different characters or locations.
The relationship between Chase and Summer should be almost organic. They basically grew up together and Summer was always just an annoying little girl around that was Abby's best friend. He now starts to develop feelings for Summer and sees her in a new light, but it is almost undetected. It went from being someone he knows as part of his circle to wanting to kiss her. The scene was almost as if his body was possessed rather than his hormones taking over.
Their "fight" or his grumpy moment didn't really have much impact, either. I just felt that throughout the whole book, everything was slightly bland.
I'm glad we saw a bit of Abby and Ford's struggle and got a glimpse into more of their affection than anyone else's. I hope we get more of their story in Liam's book.
I'll be honest. Liam has been the character that I was less intrigued about throughout this series so I am hoping he will be the best book. When I go in with little expectations, I usually have the best results.
why was this so boring tf also chase was so mean to summer when she’d done nothing wrong. girl stand up you deserve better ik you’ve been in love with him since you were a child but maybe go to therapy and move on cause this man is nottt it
Erin’s book “Line of Scrimmage” was my first ever ARC & I loved it. So I’ll basically always apply & love her books. I love her writing style & stories. I LOVED this one between Summer & Chase. I’ve been waiting for Chase’s book since the first book to be honest. I’ll forever love a single parent book.
Summer is Abby’s best friend (we meet her in Line of Scrimmage) & Chase’s younger sister. So Summer has known Chase for a long time & has always had a lingering crush on him. Chase always gave off the “oh Summer is my sisters annoying best friend” vibe so obviously Summer never perused it plus them being in different parts of their lives.
Chase is a single dad to CeCe & I freaking love how sweet he is as a dad to her. He lives, breathes, and everything in between for CeCe & football. He never gives himself any time for himself. Chase & CeCe’s mom (who we meet in the other books) aren’t together & she isn’t in the picture so all the weight of being a parent & only provider is all on his shoulders.
Summer to the rescue essentially & Chase begins to see Summer as a woman rather than his sisters best friend. So many emotions come through in this book & I love seeing their development from friends to so much more.
I had all the feels with Summer always thinking she was “too much” because of past relationships & her starting to not see her body like she once did. I related to her a lot. It pulled at my heart.
The first 2 books are available on Amazon & Kindle Unlimited & I can’t recommend them enough before this one comes out on September 24th. This book was my favorite of the 3. I can’t wait for Liam & Demi’s story next!
I really enjoyed this. This series has taken me by surprise and Erin’s writing has come in leaps and bounds. I’ve loved the low angst, amazing banter, spicy scenes and found family vibes of this series so far.
I loved Summer. She is the friend that everyone wants and needs, she is ridiculously loyal. She would do anything for the people she loves and that’s how she finds herself helping out with Chase’s daughter, CeCe. I loved Chase, too. He was so grumpy, but loved his people hard and loved how his daughter was always his priority. The moment when he saw Summer in another light was such a highlight for me. She showed him that it was okay to lean on others for support and accept help. They were such an amazing team, and destined to be together. I tested up a little during the flashback with Summer and Chase’s Dad!
I love how this story was much more than a sports romance. It was a story of love, and not settling for anyone who doesn’t see your worth and not changing yourself for anyone. Your person will love you for all that you are 💙🩷

The Playbook by Erin Mackenzie 4.5/5 ⭐️ | Dual POV: Chase & Summer
I loved this book! Chase and Summer were perfection. I’ve been waiting for their story ever since Line of Scrimmage and it did not disappoint!
The Playbook follows Summer, Chase and his adorable daughter CeCe. Chase is an NFL player and needs someone to help watch his daughter when he is away at practice and games. Summer offers to become CeCe’s babysitter. Summer has always harboured a crush on Chase and as the two spend a lot more of time together Chase starts to see Summer in a new light.
I loved Summer! She was fiery, bubbly and just full of life! I really liked how we got see different sides to Summer – her confidence but also her vulnerable side about her insecurities. I loved watching Chase fall head over heels in love with her! He has been through a lot, and I loved watching Summer challenge him and break down his walls. Even though they were complete opposites Summer was perfect for Chase and loved CeCe as if she was her own.

I adored this story, i adored Chase and Summer. And Cece was the cherry on top of everything!!
Let me start by saying Summer has to be my FAVORITE FMC of this series so far. She’s such a fun addition to the family and her attitude and quick wit was the best. She had me chuckling talking about how “sixteen year old summer wouldn’t believe this”. I loved how she was so unashamed of being herself and who she was. She was upfront with her feelings and emotions and never hid things from anyone.
Chase is *chefs kiss* - a grumpy, closed off, single dad who falls head over heels for the girl right under his nose the entire time?! SIGN. ME. UP. This was perfection. They complimented each other sooooo well and Cece and Summer’s relationship was so special and such an amazing part of the story.
I don’t want to give too much away, so you’ll just have to read these two!!
I am SO ready for Liam’s story!

this was so cute and so fun, it gave me all the feel good, giddy vibes that I aodre.
Summer was phenomenal, like she was an FMC I adore and felt so connected to and seen through reading. she is so strong, funny, and filled with sass and takes no ones shit. i loved seeing her be so authentic and the insights to her insecurities and how she opened up with chase. i just loved her so much
chase is your classic grumpy single dad with a gruff exterior, but the look into how he truly felt was just chefs kiss. he tries to be so independent and strong but Summer wiggles her way right into his and CeCe’s heart.
the banter absolutely ATE in this one and the tension and pining had me sweating. this really had everything you want with found family, characters you relate to and adore, diverse personalities, hottttt spice, and couples who just compliment one another and you have no choice but to root for them. I cant wait for Liam's story!
Tropes: - single dad - best friends brother - she falls first, he falls harder - NFL player - friends to lovers - forced proximity - opposites attract - childhood crush - banter & tension
First of all sorry if my english is bad, it's Not my first language.
I dnf'd the book at about 90% because the Dude Just kept getting on my nerves.
I really liked the Story and i LOVED Summer she was so cute and just a sunshine Person and because of that she deserved better than this Guy💀. She Had a crush on Chase for years but he never thought much of it, but then all of a sudden he Kisses her and can't Stop thinking about her. After they got in a relationship He still treated her like she was His little Sisters best friend instead of His girlfriend. He thought that she was "to much" just because she cared for him after he Had an injury. I don't care If the girl falls first in romance books, but i hate, if you can clearly see that one Person in the relationship loves way more than the other, and summer loved Chase way more than he did her. I kind of feel like Chase didn't give a fuck about her.
Erin MacKenzie has done it again 👏🏻! I have been dying for Chase and Summer's story since book 1 in the Out of Bounds series, and it was so worth the wait! I had a great time through the book. I laughed, swooned, and cried. This has some of my favorite tropes in it, so let's break it down and get into the good stuff!
⬇️ Tropes ⬇️
🏈 Sports Romance 🩺 Grumpy/Sunshine 🏈 Single Dad 🩺 Adorable 3 year old 🏈 Best Friends Brother 🩺 No 3rd act breakup 🏈 Slow Burn (but the tension!!!) 🩺 Found Family
Summer has been Abby's bestie for pretty much her entire life. She has never kept it a secret that she had a crush on her best friends brother, but Chase never saw her as more than his little sister's annoying best friend. Summer is a pediatric nurse.
Chase plays pro football and from book 1, we know that he got a f buddy pregnant, and she left when CeCe was a baby. For the last 3 years, Chase has put his daughter first and football 2nd. He had convinced himself that it was enough to keep him happy.
Chase needs to find someone to help babysit CeCe, so Abby volunteers Summer to help him out. What he didn't expect was to finally see Summer for the beautiful woman that she is, instead of his sisters annoying friend.
I absolutely loved Summer! She loves CeCe and would do anything for the people she loves. Chase had a little catching up to do, but it was really fun seeing him discover this woman who has been right in front of him his entire life.
It was nice catching up with Abby, Ford, Nate, Mia, and the rest of Chase's teammates. My heart broke for Abby and Ford. I hope that we get a few chapters/a novella for them and their journey. Erin set up Liam's book perfectly, so I would assume he's next!
If you love sports romance, brothers bestie, grumpy/ sunshine, tension/slow burn, backward baseball caps, single dad's and an adorable 3 year old, The Playbook should definitely be added to your tbr!!!
🏈 The Playbook releases on 9/24/24 🏈
*Thank you Erin MacKenzie, for the E-ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
I think like the rest of Erin's readers, I've been waiting for Summer and Chase's book since Line of Scrimmage!! I was so excited to finally get to see Chase break down for the effervescent Summer, and oh what a simp he became. I love a single dad moment and Chase delivered all the Daddy Hunt vibes, thank you ma'am.
The other thing MacKenzie does SO well, is actually write about the sport her characters play. The football talk here was legit and was so authentic to the story. I love how she incorporates sports into not only her characters, but her true plot, story and dialogue as well. I also like how she brought a storyline around for previous characters. While heartbreaking, the triggers were definitely present (and stated boldly before the prologue).
MacKenzie definitely made us sweat it out for these two to finally get to together, and while Summer was open to something happening from when she was 16 it took Chase a lot longer to come around. His give in moment was good but somehow controlled, which fit his personality. I like when they just go feral, but Chase is just more level headed than I am. I did like how in Chase was once he had a taste, and at first he tried to play it all off. But this was short lived and he eventually gave in and gave in HARD.
The banter was good, the spice was steamy, the football was accurate and the story flowed well. Overall, this book packed so many emotions in and was so much fun to read. I am loving the Tampa Knights and I just know the next story is going to capture my heart! I LOVEEEE when both characters are engrossed in the sport and it's going to be SO GOOD.
Thank you to Erin MacKenzie for the ARC of The Playbook in exchange for my honest review!
I have been looking forward to reading Chase & Summer's story! Chase is a professional football player who ended up being a single dad too. Summer is his sister, Abby's, best friend. Summer has had a crush on Chase basically since she met him many, many years ago. Chase needs someone to help watch his daughter, Cece, and Summer steps in to help!
Chase has never seen Summer as anything more than his sister's best friend but all of a sudden, things are changing. I loved seeing Summer slowly break through his walls. She was always in love with him and she just had to wait on him to catch up. They complimented each other so well. The banter between them was so fun. Chase is the best dad to Cece. When he found out he was going to be a dad, he never hesitated to step right in. I also loved seeing Summer's relationship with Cece. They were so sweet! I enjoyed this book so much!
What to expect: 🏈Football player/nurse ☀️Best friend's brother 🏈Single dad ☀️Forced Proximity 🏈Grumpy/Sunshine ☀️Found Family 🏈No 3rd act break up
This one releases September 24! Thank you Erin Mackenzie for this ARC. This is my honest review.
I have been waiting since book 1 for Chase and Summers story to come to life and I can officially say it was worth the wait 🙌🏻
I can’t stop smiling. Erin you knocked it out of the freaking park with this book. I’m so over the moon with Chase and Summer 🥹
Summer is Abby’s best friend who also happens to be Chase’s little sister. Chase and Summer grew up together and Summer always had the biggest crush on Chase, but he never saw her clearly until one stolen kiss opened his eyes.
Erin takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and diving deep into Chase’s story just added so many extra layers to this book I didn’t know I needed. I went from giddy all the way to speechless at one point. 🔥
My girl Summer 👏🏻 she is one fierce FMC. I thoroughly enjoyed following along her story. The way she would get under Chases skin had me so giddy. She is unapologetically her and her confidence just shines through that. 10/10 recommend…will definitely read again ✨

I love Erin Mackenzie, that’s no secret. Summer and Chase are utterly perfect & I love them too!!! Summer Kincaid is one of the girls that makes me feel a little more confident & makes me want to hold my head a little higher. Her sassy confidence, how she loves who she is, and her bright spark is beautiful!! Chase is a mystery man. He keeps everyone a little further away & loves to push away as fast as he can. Cece is the only person who owns his heart and his world until Summer starts to help him out. The banter & chemistry between these two is perfect. The whole she’s wanted him for yearsss & he’s only just realizing he’s all in on her is SO SO intense & firey & god damn hot. I’ve burned so many of these scenes into this memory!!! It’s perfection & it will have you lost from EVERYTHING ELSE in the world
Miss Erin Mackenzie does not write a bad book tbh.
Chase is a NFL player by day and a dad to his lovely daughter, CeCe 24/7. He needs help and the only person that can help him out right now just seems to be the woman who has loved him for years.
Summer has been in love with Chase since their childhood. Can she finally get him to see her after years of pining after him?
Yall this book was so cute. I loved every second. Summer’s personality was everything. The found family is so perfect. Gah. (And the spice???? Lemme just tell yall. WOW 🤌🏻🥵)

Read if you like: A grumpy single dad who can flip to naughty seamlessly, a women who knows who she is and doesn’t let the judgment of others get to her, and pinning that will have you swooning.
Chase Hunt is a father to the adorable CeCe and football player, nothing else matters. But when his sister, who was helping care for CeCe, isn’t as available he has to come up with another plan. Enter his sisters best friend Summer Kincaid who he has known since childhood. She is a paediatric nurse and his only option. But as they spend more time together he starts to see her in a new light.
Chase… This man was a grump who was soft for his daughter and had a hard time letting people close. But I loved seeing him break down walls and let Summer in. And when he fell, he FELL HARD! Loved him.
Summer was feisty and unapologetically herself on the outside. But secretly, she felt like she was too much for some people and my heart went out to her. She always showed up for the people she loved, including CeCe and Chase. I loved her relationship with CeCe even before she was with Chase.
I had DM’d Erin about Chase and Summer’s story as soon as I finished The End Zone and they did not disappoint! I loved the banter, chemistry, sweet moments and the steam! Such a good read!
I’m obsessed with this book! Chase is the ultimate jock, and watching him grow from his younger, cocky self is so satisfying. The history between him and Summer makes everything feel so rich, and you can totally pinpoint the moment he shuts himself off—only for her to sneak some of her sunshine into his ultra-organized, by-the-book life. I’ve got a soft spot for the single dad trope, and honestly, his devotion to Cece? So hot. It’s the perfect mix of heartwarming and swoon-worthy!
ARC Review 5 starts hands down. I know we’ve all been waiting for Chase and Summer and Erin did not disappoint!
Childhood best friends, Summer has been around Chase most of her life. When Chase needs help with his daughter CeCe, Abby (his sister) volunteers Summer since she’s been around all of CeCe’s life. Summer has had a crush on Chase since they were teenagers but Chase never saw her otherwise. After CeCe’s mom walked out years ago, Chase has shut down and is grumpy to basically everyone except his daughter. Slowly Summer starts to break down his walls. The build up and spice were so good too. I loved it all.
I literally could not put this one down. Top read of 2024. Plus we get to see some of our prior couples & how their HEA’s have been going 😍 Run to download this on KU or add to you TBR as your next read! Thank you Erin for the ARC! 🫶🏻
Chase and summer’s story is here! I absolutely love how soft this grumpy single dad is for his adorable daughter! Summer and CeCe is chases whole world!
This one is filled with so many swoony moments and chase is for sure down bad! Summer has always wanted to be with chase and while it took chase a bit longer to get on the same page, bro fell hard!
OH MY GOSH, I absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the first page. This was such a sweet story between two childhood friends. Summer has been in love with Chase since she was 16. Chase never really thought much of Summer’s “little crush”. He took it for what it was, “a little crush”. But then he finds himself in a position where he can’t turn down Summer’s offer to help with his daughter, Cece. All of the sudden Chase doesn’t just see Summer as his sister’s best friend. Suddenly, she’s so much more.
Can we take a moment to recognize Summer? What a freaking girl freaking boss. I loved her so much. She is fierce, loyal, kind-hearted, selfless to a fault and wears her heart on her sleeve. She’s kind of friend you want in your corner because she loves with her whole heart.
Chase has been through a lot of his life. He’s slightly grumpy and guarded but the ultimate girl dad. The way he completely changed his life to put his little girl first just freaking melts your heart. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for Cece. The braids? Ugh, 🫠 so damn sweet.
Having Summer barrel into his life as more than his sister’s best friend really shakes him up but it might be exactly what he needs to start living again.
