This Complete Romantasy Collection Includes Midnight Fae Academy Books 1-4.
Welcome to Midnight Fae Academy. Home of the Dark Arts. Vampires. And cruelly handsome fae.
A forbidden bite led to my capture and recruitment. There are no flowers here. No life. Only death.
I’m an Earth Fae who doesn’t belong here. They can play their little mind games all they want, but I’m going to find a way back to my elemental world. Even if it kills me.
Except Headmaster Zephyrus is one step ahead of my every move. Prince Kolstov won’t stop cornering me. And Shadow—the reason I’m in this damn mess to begin with—haunts my dreams.
My affinity for the earth is dying and being replaced by something more sinister. Something powerful. Something deadly.
The Midnight Fae believe this is my fate. They claim that I was “recruited” for a purpose. To battle a rising presence. Or to die trying.
I don’t owe them a damn thing. But if I have to pass their trials to find my way home, then so be it. I survived a plague and far worse in the Elemental Fae realm. An ominous energy? Please. What a joke.
Give it your best shot. I’m waiting. And don’t you dare bite me. Or I’ll make you regret it.
Author’s This is a dark paranormal why choose series with enemies-to-lovers elements. Despite Aflora’s opinions on the matter, there will definitely be biting. Shadow, a.k.a. Shade, guarantees it. The grovel begins in book two…
This is a complete series. No cliffhanger. And it features a happily ever after between Aflora and her four vampire-like mates.
USA Today Bestselling Author Lexi C. Foss loves to travel and write in supernatural worlds. Paranormal romance is her favorite genre, but she dabbles in contemporary romance when she needs a break from the darker side of her mind.
Coffee is her addiction, swimming is her passion, and she has a not-so-secret adoration for eclipse chasing.
Lexi can be found on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
I want my Audible credit back!! This 4-book series is 10% plot (which includes numerous holes) and 90% smut (we are talking 10 levels beyond spice with multi-chapter scenes, which is NEVER NEVER NEVER necessary in any book). If audio-porn is your thing, kudos to you, but it isn’t mine, and this series is definitely just that.
Based upon several recent reads/listens, I am losing all faith in reviews.
Honestly I had a hoot. The plot? Decently engaging. But the sex scenes? Wildly imaginative and sometimes humorously timed. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Bitten by the Fae: Midnight Fae Books 1- 4 (Midnight Fae Academy
Bitten by the Fae: Midnight Fae Books 1- 4 (Midnight Fae Academy I absolutely LOVED 🥰 this series !! Midnight Fae Academy: Book One – A Dark Paranormal Vampire Romance ~~ This book is a powerful and immersive start to the series, plunging you into a richly developed fae world with dark magic, dangerous secrets, and thrilling twists. Lexi C. Foss does an excellent job of balancing world-building with action, while also introducing a lead character who is strong, curious, and easy to connect with. The dark academia vibe and intense emotional moments really set the tone for what’s to come. Whether I was reading quietly or listening on Audible, I couldn’t put it down!! I definitely loved both listening to the Audible book and reading when I just wanted peace and quiet. Midnight Fae Academy: Book Two – A Why Choose Paranormal Vampire Romance ~~ Book Two intensifies everything—the danger, the relationships, and the unraveling secrets. Lexi C. Foss deepens the emotional stakes while delivering more twists, fierce tension, and beautifully complex character interactions. The “why choose” dynamic adds a compelling romantic layer without overshadowing the dark fantasy core of the story. The plot thickens and the academy setting becomes even more gripping. I loved switching between the audiobook and the Kindle edition—it made the world feel alive no matter where I was. I definitely loved both listening to the Audible book and reading when I just wanted peace and quiet. Midnight Fae Academy: Book Three – A Dark Vampire Paranormal Romance ~~ This third installment is where things hit full throttle. The stakes are higher, the magic is darker, and the emotional intensity is through the roof. The character development is top-notch, and Lexi C. Foss keeps you fully invested in every twist and turn. The academy becomes even more dangerous, and secrets from the past start to unravel in unexpected ways. The balance between action, romance, and supernatural drama is perfect. Whether I was reading at home or listening on the go, I was completely absorbed. I definitely loved both listening to the Audible book and reading when I just wanted peace and quiet. Midnight Fae Academy: Book Four – A Dark Vampire Paranormal Romance ~~ The fourth book brings an intense and satisfying crescendo to the story arc. Everything from the first three books builds to this moment—explosive magic, fierce emotion, and deep revelations. Lexi C. Foss skillfully ties together loose ends while keeping the atmosphere dark and the storytelling emotionally charged. The pacing is excellent, and the stakes feel real and raw. This book cements the series as one of the best in paranormal romantasy. I found myself flipping pages late into the night and replaying favorite chapters on Audible. I definitely loved both listening to the Audible book and reading when I just wanted peace and quiet. I definitely recommend this series ~~ absolutely loved it!! ❤️🖤💙
Books 2-4 have a lot of smut fyi, more with each book.
Book 1 4 stars
I really enjoyed this full cast duet style narration audiobook. I really like the actor’s voice for shade and aflora but the other 2 actors voices are good as well.
Spoilers So she is inexperienced but nothing to claim she is a virgin. Shade is the first one to bite her and start the bond. This is done against her will. Shade and prince kols both “play” with her in her erotic dreams but kols is the first one to have sex with her and then the elemental bond snaps in place causing him to get upset with her, leading to her basically exploding. Then kols, shade, and zeph all bite her to ground her power. This snaps a 4 way bond in place between the 4 fae. First bite for zeph and kols and second bite for shade.
Book 2 4 stars
I really enjoyed this book. I love the character development but I do wish shade played a bigger role. I like the prince but i don’t care for zeph much. I like our new guy as well.
Spoiler’s
This book has more spice especially with zeph. So she completes the mate bond with shade (bite 3) and then with zeph (bite 2 & 3). Kols is only partially mated with only 1/3 bites and the elemental bond. She is also mated to zakkai but seems that the bond occurred when she was a child but she has lost her memories of her childhood. Also MM and MFM/MMF relationship between zeph and kols.
Book 3 4 stars I think this might be my favourite book so far. I love the characters and the bonds they form. You grow to like zakkai, maybe not live him but definitely like him. Zakkai and aflora only touched and kissed they do not get intiment in this book (only in the dream world). This book has some really good and interesting plot twists. Shade is my favourite mate.
Spoilers
Zakkai bit aflora 3 times when he was 10 and she was 7 then eased her memories because his dad made him. They loved each other and were best friends. Because this happened before she inherited the Earth magic as the Earth heir so their magic intertwined and made them both true abominations. Shade bites kols starting stage 1 of the mate bond and kols bites zeph twice. Later kols and zeph complete the bond and shade and kols move into stage/bite 2. Aflora level 3 element bonds with all 4 mates at the end.
Book 4 4.5 stars My favourite in the series. This book was very exciting with aflora and her mates all working as a unit for a better future with aflora as the midnight fae queen. This has a hea where it appears all the mates are midnight fae bonded and level 4 elemental bonded. All the plot twists are tied up nicely and it gives us a small glimpse into the hell relm future books. A lot more MM, MMFM, MMMMF… and all the combinations lol.

This series follows Aflora who we met in the Elemental Fae series. She is the last royal Earth Fae keyed to the elemental earth source. But uh oh, one day a Midnight Fae prince abducts her then bites her, mating her against her will. Midnight fae are darker than elemental fae and they drink blood. They are mysoginist society and she is now solely controlled by her male "mate". She is forced to attend their academy and meets several other princes. The saga builds with many powers, relationships and mysteries developing every chapter. Well written and edited.
I started the first book in this series before the collection was available and I gave up a few chapters in. I was beyond frustrated with the FMC whining about something that happened and couldn’t be reversed and I didn’t like or care about any of the characters in those first chapters. After reading the Hell Fae series, which happens after this series and includes interactions with these characters, I decided to try this again. If you can grit your teeth and get through the first bit, I promise that this definitely earned the 5 star rating from me.
I liked the storyline, Earth Fae, Alflora kidnapped by the Midnight fae and the journey to becoming Queen. I liked all her mates in their different ways and I liked the fact they all had different roles and personalities. The first 2 books had strong story lines, but I do think the last 2 could have been 1 book, with less spice and more story. I like a bit of spice but in the last book there was 7 trials and most of the story was about spice. As you get all 4 books in this bundle, it wasn't really a problem, but I think I might have stopped at book 3 if I had bought them separately. The narration was pretty good, I do like a duet style narration.
Narrators: Sarah Puckett, Kale Williams, Gregory Salinas, Rich Miller, Lessa Lamb
This is the first book/first series that I have read by this author. I really enjoyed reading this romantasy by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books.
The narrators all did a great job. What I would love to see is a list saying what part each of these narrators did. There were some very distinctive voices and I don't know which narrator did what. I have never heard of any of these narrators and they all did a fantastic job! I love when there is a full cast of narrators.
The characters, the world building, the twist and turns, the storyline - all of it just amazing! Would give this 10 stars if I could.
The strength of these mates bonds and their individual connection was so beautifully written. True enemies to lovers. It was a roller coaster of emotions that I wish I could do again for the first time!
Get the audiobook as well, it really makes the characters come to life. In the audio they all speak their own lines (no male characters trying to do female voices etc) and the narrators are just perfection.
What a fun set of books. Aflora, a firey pixie type fae is bitten by a midnight shadow dark fae and hurled into a world unlike her own where she is forced to train in a new world unlike her own. During her training she takes four lovers and finds the secret of her existence and why she was bitten. This series is perfect for the person who wants a fierce lead who takes a collection of lovers all while kicking butt and trying to change the dark course of history. This series was a fun and steamy read. I highly recommend if you like saucy, vampire action. 8.5/10
I absolutely loved this series. I really enjoyed the plot and several times said to myself, “OMG what could possibly happen next?” I loved all the characters and personalities of the MMCs and the FMC I felt like was a strong character. There are some books where the female actually just annoys me the entire series. I even laughed multiple times about several of the conversations and the spicy deserved 10 🌶️’s. Buckle up, y’all!
Had a hard time getting through the first half, and then it was so good, overall I enjoyed it way more than I expected! First one was 3.5 stars, continued because well it wasn't bad... Second and third were SO GOOD I couldn't stop, then 4th had a hard time getting through the first half but then... I loved it! My only real con was the alpha omega talk... It felt like it was mentioned just to be mentioned and felt off to me.
First two books in this series? Phenomenal. Third one ehhh it was ok. The forth though??? That one was the cash grab. The story could’ve easily wrapped up in book three. Also, adding an additional mate after 2 books is kind of weird IMO. Like we already got the cast of characters, why you gunna add insomeone???
But, it was a pretty ok series. The final book was just kind of hard to get thru
I will say I got this on audible, and the first 4-5 hours were very rough for me to get through. The plot had me intrigued, and the smut was entertaining enough. I'm glad I stuck with it because I really enjoyed how the story played out. I don't recommend this to everyone, but I can appreciate the story it told.
This series completely pulled me in from beginning to end. The world-building, emotional tension, character growth, and bond dynamics were incredibly well done. I became deeply invested in Aflora and the entire quad. The story kept me anxious, emotional, frustrated, and fully hooked the entire time. Definitely one of those series that stays in your head after finishing.
Having already read about Claire, Aflora was obviously my next choice. Shadow's bite and need for Kyros' ability to alter time was instantly a success. Then add Prince Kolstov who was still dealing with his tie to Zephyrus was enchanting. Zekkai was a wild card thrown into the mix. Aflora is brought into the dark midnight fae realm- never knowing she was more than right for the changes needed to survive and show her mates how to grow.
Excellent details make this series easy to envision. Steamy scenes mixed with suspense fill every page. There are no dull moments to be found. I love how the stories are all tied together. I can't wait to read Ella's story.
What an epic series!! This has so many twists and turns that definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely has the spice that just gets steamer with each book. I would definitely suggest reading yhis.
I was completely absorbed into the whole story! The magic system, academy, scenery, and of course the characters! Aflora is inspiring & empowering and the dark & deadly handsome Midnight Fae men are equally impressive. I had a roller coaster of emotions & loved every moment of it.
It really didn't have to be that long. At some point I realized I was too far in and had to know what happened, but skipped over so much. It was just way too much. Love Lexi, but this one was a miss for me
Really enjoyed this series. Easy to read, lots of plot and even more spice. So much happened in every book along with so many secrets that you couldn’t wait to uncover that I couldn’t help but be ensnared and keep reading. Worth the time
I read the complete series as one so I don’t want to give away anything as spoilers. But overall I really enjoyed this series. Loved all the boys and found things happen that I didn’t quite expect. This is definitely a series to read if you enjoy fae and why choose books.
