Change is hard, yet a necessary part of life. Further, the change rate continues to move faster and faster in the various facets of our life. Hammett and Pierce do a fantastic job demonstrating a coach approach for individuals, individual coaching situations, and organizational coaching situations in both non-profit and for-profit organizations as they navigate from waves of challenge to waves of opportunity.

As a church network leader who coaches, speaks, trains, and consults, the paradigm acrostic tools offered by Hammett and Pierce are incredibly helpful and insightful. These paradigm tools are not only memorable because of their acrostic format, but I have also already stored them in my notes app so I can easily refer to them—acrostics such as FAST, BRIDGES, and BARRIERS.

Making Shifts in Waves of Change: A Coach Approach to Soulful Leadership is a book that I highly recommend. Making Shifts is a book that is incredibly helpful for any leader as they navigate the many changes in the world we live.
