Muriel has dreamed of getting married since she was a kid. Now, after waiting five years, the love of her life is finally ready to propose. Or, so she thought. Check out the next book in this inspirational and uplifting series by Amazon Best-Seller, Ellen Joy!
When Muriel realizes her relationship is going in circles, she decides to move forward, without him. With her entire social life having revolved around her now ex, she leaves town for her mother's cottage in the small, charming, beach town of Blueberry Bay.
As she discovers the new joys of beach life, her family helps her navigate a tricky relationship with a handsome teacher who's also trying to forge his own path to break free from his father's expectations.
But, when Muriel's ex finally comes to his senses, she'll have to decide whether she still wants that old lifelong dream, or if new adventures will be the key to her happily-ever-after.
Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.
Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.
All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

"The Lighthouse on Blueberry Bay" by Ellen Joy is my new absolute favorite book of hers! How Ellen Joy wrote Muriel's journey to self-discovery was inspiring and heartwarming. Muriel's character growth throughout the story felt incredibly genuine and relatable, making her one of my favorite characters. And, of course, Oliver was the perfect book boyfriend—swoon-worthy, charming, and supportive in all the right ways. Ellen Joy has a remarkable talent for creating stories that make me want to pick up my family and move to the picturesque small-town communities she vividly portrays. Her writing brings these towns to life, making them feel like home. I absolutely love this new series and eagerly look forward to reading future books. I know Cora's story is next, and I cannot wait to dive into it. Ellen Joy's ability to weave engaging, heartfelt narratives keeps me hooked from start to finish. "The Lighthouse on Blueberry Bay" is a beautiful, captivating read that will stay with me for a long time. If you haven't picked up this book yet, I highly recommend it—it's truly a gem!
I love Ellen's writing. Blueberry Bay is an idyllic place in Maine where life is filled with family and friends. hen Just when Muriel thinks her boyfriend is going to propose, he disappoints her yet again. Zack is not on the same page. She goes home to Blueberry Bay and meets Oliver; the man she saw the night she broke up with Zack. They both have feelings for one another, but they are afraid to act. Finally, Muriel decides to live her life for herself. Thankfully, Oliver is caring, kind and exactly the man she loves. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it to all. Ellen, I can't wait for the next book
Absolutely could not put this book down. The entire book, from its very first page to the final event that capped Muriel and Oliver's journey, had me engrossed. I could not put this book down. The ups and downs, as the reader follows Muriel is well written and satisfying. At the same time, Ms Joy presents serious life lessons throughout this charming story. Anyone who made up more of a relationship than existed in reality will recognize themselves.I highly recommend this novel to provide a delightful read. Enjoy!
Muriel was so excited, it was her 25th birthday and she just knew that Zach was going to propose to her tonight, but he just wanted her to move into his cramped little apartment The disappointment was too much to bear so she went to Blueberry Bay to spend time with her mother while she figured out what she wanted to do with her life. She met a teacher and some kids, along with a couple cousins and life changed after that, Really Great Read
Muriel had waited five years for Zack to ask the big question but he asked the wrong question. So escaping to Blueberry Bay sounded like the perfect way to spend the summer surrounded by family in a place that brings her peace. This series is emotional and heartwarming and Blueberry Bay brings us the sweetest romances.
Sometimes you have to be treated really badly to wake up and recognize how someone has used you. It took Muriel much too long. I love hearing about the family that Colby and Remy have created. Good book and good series. Too bad book 4 has not been published that I can find.
I think this 3rd book in this series is the best so far. Awesome journey of self discovery. So well written I felt like I was there. I wish I was there. I can't wait until the next book is out. I highly recommend this series and especially the author. I've read all of her books and loved each one.
I love Ellen's books, and this was no exception. A lovely and well written story, filled with moments of compassion, humor, action, heartache, joy, romance and lessons. A wonderful heartwarming story that will leave you smiling in the end. A clean romance with a HEA. I highly recommend it.
It was such fun returning to Blueberry Bay for Muriel's story. I liked how Muriel grew and found herself after she broke up with the love of her life. She was trying new adventures and making new friends and all of that led to her being the happiest she had been in some time.
She also returned to Blueberry Bay in Maine where her mom moved. While there she met a neighbor, Oliver, who also was a teacher like Muriel. The only problem for Oliver was that Muriel just wanted to be friends while she found herself and got over her boyfriend and Oliver wanted much more. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Love this series it is a page turner, you get pulled into the story and would love to live in a town like this one. Soon as I finish reading I can't wait for the next series. I would highly recommend this book.
The Lighthouse story was epic. I love how the characters all connect from one story to the next. I enjoy the thought of finding yourself, first and foremost. I also love the thought of not settling.
This book was so good with all of Muriel and Oliver's experiences in finding how they loved each other. The opportunity that the whole family getting to enjoy the the festival and the trip to the light house.
This was a sweet read. I enjoyed seeing some of the younger residents of Blueberry Bay play into the main character position. It's a great multi generation story!
To always be able to look forward to the next book in a series hits the spot. The story of this family is heartwarming and always has the reader wanting more. Thank you to Ellen Joy.
What a great wholesome story that draws readers into this beautiful coastal town charm and the characters are supportive, loyal, friendly. A must read you can't stop reading. Enjoy
This book was extremely good. I reminded me about others who thought everything relationship wise was bad, then all of a sudden you run into you forever mate.
Another good Blueberry Bay story! My only complaint is that they’re too short! Maine is a bit too cold for me, but the scenery is great, the lobsters are delicious and the people seem nice.
Loved the story but WHY is the picture of the light house White when through three books it has been Red & White? The family at Blueberry Bay keeps growing.
This didn’t hold up to the first in the series either. I love the little town, but the main character in this one was basically an idiot. And it doesn’t seem like any of the other characters acknowledge that, which would’ve improved it quite a bit. It’s a shame because there’s so much else about it that I really love that had a lot of potential, and there were a lot of parts that were excellent. Three stars.
