I first met Hilary Lawrence’s writing through Loose Lips Sink Ships, and I was already impressed by her voice. Now, reading A Leopard Never Changes its Spots (with Katherine Summerville), I found myself laughing out loud at Leopard’s quirky attempts to “go vegetarian.” It’s a wonderfully funny and imaginative picture book that children will adore, but it also carries that extra layer of gentle wisdom that grown ups can enjoy too.
