Told as a series of diary entries by a girl at camp. Chloe is excited to go to Pony Camp and is determined to work on her jumping and make a "clear round" at the competition on the final day of camp. She makes some missteps along the way, but achieves her goal, because of course she does.

A goodish choice for horse-obsessed kiddos. It seems like each book follows a different week of camp, so the riders change with each book, but the ponies and staff are the same. Lack of diversity. All girls and almost all white (though others in the series have more POC it seems). A LOT of horsey terms, many that I didn't know since I was never into horses. There is a glossary at the end for the vocabulary, but there are lots of descriptions on what to do when jumping that are useless if you don't ride horses.

so its mostly about friendship learning responsibility horses and riding confidence and teamwork. Chole wants charm but her friend got him and she was stuck with craker and she yells and the person that gets Craker and she cries(the person she yelled at) and then they go and a trail and craker found the treat and it was a box coverd in carrots

Creative. Picked it up since I was reading camping for a theme. In addition, horses are interesting. There is a lot of education/interactive learning in the book.
